Jungkook wasn't planning on lying.
It’s just that it’s so not fair. Alphas get a nicely created app made just for them to make friends off of, but omegas get nothing? Granted, it was made by an alpha prince made only for alpha princes, so not every alpha gets to use it, but still, how is that fair?
Omega princes deserve to make friends as well. Jungkook deserves friends.
All the apps made lately are specifically for dating. Even if Jungkook tried to go on one of those apps, he’d be bombarded with nasty photos and weirdos in his DMs—he’d especially get replies like that because he’s an omega prince and everyone wants to be with a prince for the ranking.
Jungkook doesn’t want somebody to date. He wants to genuinely make friends.
He scowls whenever he asks his younger alpha brother what the app looks like and if he’s made any friends yet—he’s scowling because Jeha shrugs and says, “I dunno. Don’t really care for the app.”
“Then give it to me!” Jungkook says with a whine. He may be older than Jeha, but he really knows how to whine and complain with a pout set on his lips. Jungkook prods his finger against Jeha’s upper arm. “Give me your code if you aren’t going to use it.”
“And what exactly will you do with it, hyung?”
“Make friends, duh.” Jungkook rolls his eyes sassily at his younger brother. His freshly presented alpha scent becomes dull and blatant as he deadpans at Jungkook.
“Why do you want friends anyways when you have me?”
Jungkook deadpans in return. He and Jeha only used to hang out every day when they were younger, but video games and social media have replaced those days. Sadly enough, the only time they hang out now is if they’re forced to because of royal events or if they plan something together like watching an anime or going out to eat for each other’s birthdays.
So, Jungkook tells him truthfully, “I want some friends besides my brother, Jeha.”
“That hurts,” the younger alpha says with no signs of hurt or betrayal in his voice. He sighs. “Fine, I’ll send you my code. Just don’t flirt with any alphas on there.”
“I–” Jungkook blushes furiously, clenching his fists. “I will not! I just want friends, I swear.”
“Uh-huh. Sure. Whatever.” Jeha pulls out his phone.
Jungkook groans, but whenever his phone dings with the notification coming from Jeha, he lightens up and bounces onto the expensive castle sofa as he downloads the popular app: AlphaPrince—very original and totally unique name.
He opens the app up and types in the code, easily setting up an account as if he was just ready for this day to come. The photo he uses is a selfie he took after an event one day, wearing a nice white dress shirt with fixed-up wavy hair and light makeup. He types in a username (JK97) and then writes his bio (Looking for friends), and is quickly set up to meet people.
He succeeds in signing up, pretending to be an alpha prince to make friends with “other” alpha princes. Okay, maybe that sounds a bit odd, but he doesn’t plan on tricking alphas or using it to any advantage! He just wants to make friends like everyone else, is all. Really. Seriously.
It’s hard to make friends as an omega prince, or even just a prince in general. His parents shelter him from the world, saying they'll all take advantage of him if he's not careful. But that just means that Jungkook never got to play on the playground with the other kids. He didn’t go to a normal school. Other kids would come up to him on the sidewalk to try and play games, but security guards would lead Jungkook away just in case.
Jungkook hasn’t had many friends since childhood—not until now. All he has is Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung, but they’re both princes as well, plus they’re going to mate when the time comes, so they’re basically the cause of Jungkook's third wheel syndrome. He can’t catch a break.
So, he signs up for the app in hopes of making a friend like himself. A prince who holds the same lonesome weight on his shoulders as Jungkook does.

Kim Seokjin is pissed at the world.
Just over a week ago, his closest friend Yujun had gotten jealous of him just because Yujun’s crush wanted to hang out with Seokjin instead of him. It’s not like Seokjin likes her or anything, so he got upset whenever Yujun accused him of trying to be with her.
It’s mostly because she was flirting with Seokjin and giving off a sweet scent that confused Seokjin. But sometimes Seokjin doesn’t notice something until hours later, and he hadn’t realized that she was flirting and not stopping it either. Maybe he was at fault for letting her continue knowing that Yujun was right there, but again, he had no idea until Yujun texted him and mentioned it.
Whatever man, I’ll find a damn friend who doesn’t hurt me on purpose.
That’s what Yujun texted Seokjin over a week ago. Ever since then, he’d blocked Seokjin out of anger, and within a few days, Seokjin has gone over every emotion from anger to sadness and frustration.
Right now, he’s going through another phase of emotions. As he looks down at his phone and at the app that all the kingdoms have been talking about lately, Seokjin finds it in himself to seek revenge on Yujun—or to at least show him that he doesn’t need him anymore. Who cares if Yujun leaves? Who cares if he stops being his friend?
He’ll just find a new friend. A better one.
Seok_Jin
That’s the username he types in. A few months ago, he’d taken a selfie on the family boat when he was being taught how to fish. The water is behind him and he’s glowing from the sun. That’s the photo he uses because he doesn’t want to use his official prince photos like he assumes the other alphas will use on the app; boring. His bio is even more unique than the photo: Only DM me if you’re wearing white.
There are lots of alphas posting on the main page. The app is new and doesn’t have much to do other than post for everyone to see or DM and follow people you would like to talk to. Seokjin sighs as he notices how many alpha princes have already made friends and even started planning video game nights together. He remembers all the times he’d played games with Yujun, then sighs again.
As he’s reminiscing, a notification tab pops up on the top of his screen. He reads the message, confused as to how anyone has already found his account if he hasn’t posted yet; he guesses it’s because everyone can see who’s online or not.
He opens his DMs and reads the message.
JK97:
i’m wearing white
∙~•♥︎•~∙
Jungkook glances down at his t-shirt as he toys with the hem of it. He’s been sending messages to other princes for about five minutes now, and a new one popped up, so he went for it. The guy’s bio was very fitting, so Jungkook had a smile on his face as he DMed him and waited.
Now, he’s still waiting for an answer as he glances away from his message. He gets distracted for a minute and doesn’t even notice he’s gotten a message back until he finally lets go of the cotton shirt.
Seok_Jin:
Proof?????
JK97:
can’t you see? my pfp??
Seok_Jin:
You have to be wearing white right now
Not in an old photo
JK97:
i am!!!!
Jungkook clicks the little camera icon and leans back onto the sofa to get the weirdest angle possible to take a selfie. He sticks out his tongue and holds up a peace sign, then clicks the round button to take the photo. He giggles as he hits send and lowers back more comfortably into the sofa.
JK97:
see? 🥰 white.
It takes a minute or so before Jungkook declares himself too silly for the world. This Seokjin guy doesn’t message him back right away like he had before. Jungkook worries he might’ve been too weird. Maybe Seokjin can see right through him and can tell that Jungkook has never had friends before. Maybe he’s too weird for friends—
A notification.
Seok_Jin:
Wow okay
That’s still not proof 😤 You could’ve taken that selfie any day
JK97:
tell me a pose
i’ll do whatever you want, mr prince seokjin
Seok_Jin:
💀
Put a sticky note on your forehead with my name written on it ☺️ Then I’ll believe you
And Jungkook thought that he was weird. Or maybe Seokjin just matches his weirdness. Either way, Jungkook rushes to his bedroom where his desk is, ignoring the questioning glance that Jeha gives him on his way out of the room. He writes Prince Seokjin down on his sticky notepad and then sticks the paper right to his forehead. Then he sticks his tongue out in a playful way towards the camera, aiming at the alpha on the other side of the phone.
JK97:
here u weirdo 😤 believe me now
Seok_Jin:
Wow you actually did it
That’s amazing
What’s your name then? JK?
JK97:
Jungkook!! :)
Seok_Jin:
Hmm I’ve never heard of a prince named Jungkook. Then again I don’t know much about any other kingdoms. Where you from?
Jungkook panics. He’s paranoid, thinking Seokjin might find out that he’s an omega. So, he does the first thing he can think of.
JK97:
i’m in your heart, prince seokjin 😏❤️
Seok_Jin:
I see
Well, Prince Jungkook, I’m glad you’re in my heart already. Cause I plan to make you my friend so I can annoy you more ;)
Somehow, that sounds like the best thing Jungkook has ever heard. It’s all he’s ever wanted and more, just to be friends with someone other than Jeha who’s too brotherly and Jimin or Taehyung who only know how to talk about each other most of the time. He can’t wait to be annoying with someone too. He wants to be close like Jimin and Taehyung are—minus the mating, of course.
JK97:
you can annoy me all you want, prince seokjin
Seok_Jin:
Oh please
Just call me hyung
No need to be so formal
JK97:
;D okay hyung!!
tell me about yourself?
Seok_Jin:
Hmm….. Well if you’ve looked at my pfp, I like to go fishing sometimes. But I like playing video games even more. Just depends on what mood I’m in 🤔 What about you?
JK97:
omg let’s play games together
i like gaming too
i’ll beat you in anything 😈
Seok_Jin:
Oh yeah?
Confident little alpha, are we?
Jungkook laughs to himself as he’s called an alpha. Still, somehow, and for some reason, that last sentence riles Jungkook up.
JK97:
i’ll show you ;)
∙~•♥︎•~∙
Two weeks ago is when Seokjin had first gotten a DM from alpha Prince Jungkook. Since then, they’d messaged each other every day, mostly silly things like memes and weird photos of each other. By the end of week two, Seokjin is sort of thankful for Yujun in a weird way. If he hadn’t gone all crazy over some omega girl, Seokjin never would’ve taken AlphaPrince seriously and met a new friend. At least he thinks Jungkook is his friend. Hopefully he considers himself that.
Seok_Jin:
We’re friends right?
JK97:
why do you ask??
do i annoy you too much?
Seok_Jin:
I’m asking because I want to know if you consider me your friend or not lol
JK97:
oh
yes, i do
do you consider me your friend, hyung?
Seok_Jin:
Of course, I told you already
I’m going to annoy you for the rest of our lives
And you’ve gotta send me silly photos for the rest of our lives too
JK97:
okay :D
[Photo Sent]
Seokjin always finds himself staring at Jungkook’s photos. Every time he sends a new one, it’s like Seokjin holds his breath and tries to get ahold of himself.
Jeon Jungkook is freaking gorgeous. He’s also so damn cute. Sometimes he scrunches up his nose like a bunny, showing off a sliver of his teeth—it’s so cute that it makes Seokjin sit and stare for a few seconds before he realizes he hasn’t responded back to him. Just like right now.
Jungkook is wearing a loose t-shirt which Seokjin has learned is what he wears when he’s being less formal as a prince. He wonders what the other is up to as he stares at the little dimple above Jungkook’s lip as he makes a weird face to the camera. He once again gets lost in time as he stares, but eventually remembers to respond—maybe not in the best way, though.
Seok_Jin:
you know…
no offense or anything but
you kind of have omega features..? not in a bad way. just your soft face and pretty eyes
He probably said too much. He most definitely fucked up and said something that will offend the other alpha.
Fuck. Why did I say that?
JK97:
hehe
Hehe?
Hehe?
That’s all he has to say? He’s not cursing Seokjin out or telling him to stop being rude or something? He’s not scoffing at his phone and saying “How dare this guy?”
Seok_Jin:
You’re not offended..?
JK97:
why should i be?
you called my eyes pretty
does that mean i’m pretty, hyung? :)
Within an instant, Seokjin’s life seems to flash before his eyes. Of course, Jungkook is pretty. Of course, that’s all he had to say. Why did he even compare him to an omega? He could’ve just been normal and complimented his features, but no. He didn’t. He will, though.
Seok_Jin:
You are very pretty, Jungkook-ah
JK97:
do you like pretty omegas, hyung?
Seok_Jin:
Ah 😅 I can appreciate anyone who’s pretty
JK97:
:) is that so?
well i can appreciate that too
i also can appreciate someone who’s handsome like you, hyung
Seok_Jin:
You think I’m handsome..?
JK97:
anyone with eyes can tell that xD
but yes
i think you’re very good-looking
Seokjin’s heart pounds a little too hard in his chest. For weeks now, he’s been so caught up in Jungkook’s cuteness that he didn’t even question how Jungkook might feel about him in return. He thinks he’s handsome. Good-looking.
Seokjin doesn’t know what to think of that. For some reason, his heart feels all light and fluffy, but he thinks it’s just because of the praise and nothing more.
Seok_Jin:
Thank you ☺️
Hey Jungkookie, you play games right?
We should play something together
JK97:
on pc?
Seok_Jin:
Yeah
JK97:
;) then yeah we can play
∙~•♥︎•~∙
Jungkook never expected Seokjin’s voice to be so addicting. It’s rich and sweet, sometimes calm and sometimes chaotic. It’s the voice that’s been making Jungkook smile like a fool for the past two weeks, which is how long he and the alpha have been playing computer games together. It’s so fun, Jungkook laughs so hard, and he feels so light every night he goes to sleep.
He’s never had a friend who makes him smile so much. It’s weird. Jimin and Taehyung are his closest friends and they make him smile, but it’s never like this. It’s not like he doesn’t love Jimin and Taehyung. They make him laugh and feel good too. But something about Seokjin is different. Maybe it’s because of Seokjin’s personality, because he’s so much different than his current friends. Maybe it’s because of Seokjin’s awful dad jokes. Or maybe it’s because of the weird butterflies he feels in his tummy that he can’t comprehend; they make him feel funny.
Seokjin told Jungkook that he expected him to sound exactly how he does. When Jungkook asked him what he meant, Seokjin said, “You sound as sweet as you look, is all.”
Jungkook thought about that all night and all day. He still sometimes thinks about what it means and how sweet he looks or sounds. He wishes he could understand just how Seokjin sees him. He would love to see himself through his eyes.
“Jungkook-ah! You’re alive!”
He hasn’t gotten to talk to Seokjin all day up until now. Seokjin had asked him a few hours ago if he was free to play games and Jungkook didn’t message back until just a few minutes ago. Seokjin was quick to get online with him.
“Sorry,” he sighs into his mic. Usually, they’ll play games for an hour or two before they get distracted and run around aimlessly (in game) as they talk about anything and everything. Tonight, Jungkook begins with that method, joining Seokjin’s game and simply walking back and forth as he talks to him. “I had such a long day today. I had to wake up early for breakfast with some random people from another kingdom. My parents wouldn’t let me bail out, but they let my little brother run off to who knows where.”
“You have a little brother?”
Jungkook hums in agreement. “He’s only younger by three years or so. My parents don’t really put any pressure on him because it’s all given to me, unfortunately.”
“I know the feeling,” Seokjin sighs out into his mic. “My parents have been on my ass about settling down and getting me ready to prioritize my kingdom. They say that the perfect king must first be the perfect prince. They tell me what to do and I just… do it.”
The sound of that makes Jungkook’s shoulders fall. “No offense, but that sounds awful. That kind of pressure must drive you crazy, right?”
“Of course it drives me freaking insane,” Seokjin laughs out openly, as if joking is a way to dismiss the issue. Jungkook isn’t sure how to think about that. “They don’t even like me playing video games, but I do it anyway. It’s the one thing I’ll refuse to let go of. Besides, it’s one of the ways I get to hang out with you, too.”
The thought of Seokjin liking the time they spend together makes Jungkook curl back into his gaming chair, raising his hands up to his chest and holding in an embarrassing noise that dares to leave his mouth. He purses his lips together to try and stop the smile stretching onto his face, but it hardly works at all. He can hardly stop himself from smiling like a fool.
“Hyung,” he drags out in a sort of whiny-like tone. Then he lowers his voice into a murmur, “D’you like spending time with me?”
Jungkook’s cheeks begin to hurt from smiling so hard when Seokjin tells him, “You’re the only one I like to spend all my time with, Jungkookie.”
“Really? Why is that?”
A soft sigh comes through his headphones. “Well,” Seokjin begins, “before I downloaded AlphaPrince, my best friend accused me of trying to steal the omega he likes. So I joined this app specifically to make a new friend other than him, since he and I are no longer speaking. You were kind of exactly what I needed, to be honest. And you just happened to show up into my DMs like it was fate.” Jungkook is listening intensely, curious about so many things now. Seokjin lightly laughs as he says, “It’s safe to say that you’re becoming someone who is very special to me, Jungkook-ah. I’m grateful that you’re my friend.”
Is Jungkook tearing up? Is he seriously about to cry?
“Hyung,” he cries out, pouting to himself as he stares at his screen. He’s no longer moving around in game, too busy holding his cheeks so hard to keep his tears in. “You’re making me tear up here! That’s so unfair!”
Seokjin once again laughs. “Sorry. Didn’t think that would happen.”
“How could it not?!” Jungkook practically screeches. “You have no idea how happy that makes me. I grew up as an isolated prince. My mom and dad never let me hang out with the other kids and my only friends make me constantly third-wheel. I’ve always wanted a friend like you. A-And you’re different from others, hyung. You make me feel… really nice.”
There’s a short moment of silence. Jungkook worries that he said too much, but when Seokjin speaks up again, he’s reminded that he has nothing to worry about, because Seokjin’s voice is so nice and gentle, so sweet and caring, and once again, it’s another reason why Jungkook thinks Seokjin’s voice is so addicting—because it’s just so healing to him.
“You’ll always have me as a friend, Jungkook-ah. I promise you that.”
The prettiest of flowers fill the room, oozing off from Jungkook’s scent glands. He feels like he’s in a spring flower field and he’s walking on clouds at the same time. He melts back into his seat and wonders just how he got so lucky to meet Kim Seokjin.
But then he remembers one crucial thing that led him to meeting the prince. The one thing that Jungkook has been lying about for weeks now, and it eats him inside and out. The lie that never would’ve seen the light of day, but Jungkook feels so guilty that it might swallow him whole. Here Seokjin is, saying how he’ll always be a friend, and yet Jungkook is keeping such a big secret from him.
Would Seokjin forgive him for something like that?
How awful of a friend is Jungkook, after all?
∙~•♥︎•~∙
Things get worse. Oh, so much worse.
Things get worse when Seokjin sends a selfie of him lying in bed shirtless. It gets worse when Jungkook finds himself blushing at every little thing Seokjin says to him. Even worse of all, Jungkook can’t stop his scent from spiking with interest every time Seokjin messages him, and it never happens with his other friends, so he can only assume one thing.
He is starting to like Alpha Prince Kim Seokjin.
And he is lying to Alpha Prince Kim Seokjin.
He is awful. Horrible. Seokjin is going to hate him. He’s going to immediately throw Jungkook away for lying about his subgender. Jungkook is doing something much worse than Yujun—who is Seokjin’s past best friend, he’d learned. At least Yujun had the guts to speak up to Seokjin about his thoughts and feelings. Jungkook is a coward.
But at least he tries.
JK97:
hyung?
Seok_Jin:
Hi Jungkookie
Sorry, I’m falling asleep right now
Been a long day 🫠
We’ll talk tomorrow?
JK97:
sure, hyung
sleep well <3
And tries.
JK97:
hyungie i wanna tell you something
Seok_Jin:
Ah yes 😌
You’re coming to confess your love for me? ;)
Hit me 😏😏😏😏
Jungkook chickens out because he’s terrified that Seokjin is onto him and knows about his crush. He tells him “in your dreams 😡” and then changes the subject.
The next time Jungkook tries, he’s a little more confident because of the other day—he’d asked Seokjin what he would think if he was keeping a secret from him and Seokjin told him “I’m sure you’d have your reasons.” So, Jungkook is ready to explain his reasons and hope that Seokjin isn’t too angry with him. Hopefully not.
JK97:
hyunggg are you free?
Seok_Jin:
Jungkook-ah 😕😣
JK97:
????
whats wrong? :(
Seok_Jin:
It’s my parents..
They want to host an event to find me an omega… Someone to marry… 🫤
It’s like the entire world pauses for a moment. Jungkook stares ahead, right where he can see a couple holding hands across the road. Then he glances over at the two guards surrounding him and he thinks about how lonely he is despite having Seokjin on his phone screen. Nothing beats having someone in person. Nothing beats being with someone.
As he thinks about how lonely he is, Jungkook wonders if his kingdom will be invited to this event. But that’s selfish thinking, he concludes. Seokjin seems upset about this.
JK97:
you don’t want to marry someone?
Seok_Jin:
I don’t want to force love
Besides…
I’m sure there’s nobody I’ll like
JK97:
oh
why is that?
Seok_Jin:
Idk ,_,
I’d rather spend time with you
Jungkook nearly spills his boba tea from how fast he clutches his chest. He squeezes the fabric of his far-too-fancy shirt and inhales, holding his breath as he types with one hand.
JK97:
what if i was an omega?
He waits for a moment, then a few more seconds, and he exhales as he reads Seokjin’s message.
Seok_Jin:
That would be too good to be true
Whatever takes over Jungkook is harsh and warm. Blushing would be an understatement. His entire body shudders and he has to bite back the smile that rushes to his face. The guards can most likely smell how sweet his flowery scent becomes, so Jungkook huddles close to the cafe window to hide as he opens his group chat with Jimin and Taehyung.
Me:

Me:
you’re right o;
i can be the perfect omega for him 🥺
we make each other happy already
he even said it’s too good to be true
Taehyungie hyung:
show him how good it can be with you
he’ll want nobody else but you 😉
Jimin-ssi:
agree 💯
∙~•♥︎•~∙
The way Seokjin’s parents go about things is so insane to him. They’re so traditional that it almost makes him roll his eyes.
A few years ago, they’d told him that if he didn’t have an omega by the time he was thirty, they’d find one for him. One to marry. One to keep the kingdom flowing.
The other day, they mentioned it.
“We’re going to invite all the omega princes around so you can find someone to marry.”
Seokjin had gawked at them. “I have three years until I turn thirty, though.”
“Better now than never, son. We’re getting old and you’ll need an omega by your side.”
It’s so unfair. Seokjin doesn’t want to marry anyone right now. Hell, he doesn’t even like any omegas right now. If anything, he wishes for something far more complicated than he could ever imagine—he wishes that the person he truly wants was an omega.
It’s not that Jungkook being an alpha is bad. It’s just the fact that they can never be together even if he wants it to happen.
Because he does.
All those nights spent messaging Jungkook has turned into something much more. It slowly crept up on Seokjin, from Jungkook’s humor, his kindness, to the gorgeous sight of him and the sound of his pretty voice. Every little thing built up into Seokjin’s mind and then suddenly, as if a tornado came in, Jeon Jungkook was taking over his mind. Day and night, he’s all he thinks about.
Seokjin believes that he can and will love somebody no matter what their subgender is. It just sucks that within their kingdom—because of his parents' traditional ways—Seokjin must marry an omega and lead the kingdom with them by his side. It’s not like he can just run away and leave the kingdom to shambles. He loves his home and loves his parents despite it all. Plus, he doesn’t have any siblings to take over, so he’d really be leaving the kingdom with nothing.
But the way his stomach twists and turns with shame and guilt makes Seokjin feel like puking. His parents invited the omega princes around and even some of the well-known omegas as well, even if they aren’t princes. They all get to meet Seokjin in hopes to build a better connection with him. The reason why Seokjin’s stomach is twisting with guilt is because he knows his heart isn’t into this at all and he’s dismissing his own feelings just for the sake of his parents. It’s so disheartening to betray himself.
“This is amazing,” his mother tells him as she pats down the perfect suit jacket he’s wearing. The event will be this weekend, so he’s getting a special outfit tailored. She says, “You’re going to have all the omegas swooning over you, my boy. I just know it.”
That’s not what he wants. Not at all.
“Mother,” he calls out to her. She glances up at him and grins those pearly-whites right at him through the mirror. He sighs. “Do I really have to do this? What if I don’t want to get married right now?”
The omega queen gives him a softer smile, much sweeter than before. “Seokjin, my son, you haven’t even tried to find yourself a mate. If you want to be the king someday, you must have someone you can depend on. Your father and I won’t be around for much longer and we just want you to settle down before you’re thrown into the world of being king. Wouldn’t you like to have a few years to be with your omega and possibly your family before you become head alpha?”
It would be nice to get to settle down before having so many responsibilities. Then again, he wishes it was with someone he actually wants to be with.
Maybe he can find love at this event. Maybe it isn’t the end of the world. After all, he knew that his crush on Jungkook wouldn't go very far. He knew that he couldn’t be with Jungkook. He never should've allowed himself to start liking him anyways. And he’ll take it to his grave, too. Nobody has to know. Jungkook surely will never know.
He’ll just have to suck it up and find someone else, even if that someone else will never live up to Seokjin’s recent standards—even if they’ll never be Jeon Jungkook.

Jungkook nearly jumped out of the dining chair as his parents told him about the Kim Event. They invited Jungkook to come. He hopes that Seokjin didn’t get to see the list of omegas that were invited because holy shit, what if he sees my name?
JK97:
are u busy?
Seok_Jin:
Not really, I’m currently getting ready for bed
how was ur day?
Everything seems normal, so Jungkook guesses that Seokjin has no idea. The next morning, Jungkook tells his parents that he’ll attend the event. They’re delighted to hear, and they tell Jungkook to go with their usual beta dressers to find an outfit to wear.
He stresses out over every single thing. It’s not until now, as he’s looking through different tie patterns, that he realizes exactly what he’s about to do. He’s picking out an outfit to meet Kim Seokjin in. He’s going to meet the guy he’s been talking to for the past two months. He’s going to meet his crush.
Holy shit.
With no real idea of what the hell he’s doing, he chooses a dark navy suit with a white dress shirt underneath, and asks for a tie to match the navy. When they give him so many options to choose from, he just chooses a random one with swirl patterns on it. They even show him little flower brooches to match the suit, so he gets one of those as well.
There’s only three days left before Jungkook will board his plane and be on his way to Seokjin’s kingdom. If he wants to impress the alpha and try to win his heart—just like all the other omegas will be there to do—then he needs to first start by looking good; though he’s already got that down, but he decides he needs to look his absolute best.
He gets his hair trimmed, gets his nails done, tells one of the royal makeup and hair artists that they’ll be coming along, and he even starts eating fruits because he heard that it makes his scent much sweeter to allure alphas.
When he’s on the private royal jet to head towards Seokjin’s kingdom, he gnaws nervously on an apple and Jeha gives him weird looks, but he ignores it. He’s too in his head to even care about how much his parents praise Prince Kim Seokjin on their way there. At least they seem to be all for Jungkook possibly being with him.
If only they knew.
∙~•♥︎•~∙
The castle is decorated with beautiful lights and fancy tables set around that will soon have beverages and snacks on them. Seokjin watches the workers setting everything up for the next morning and he wonders just how many people plan to show up.
He’s never been to an event like this, but he’s seen scenes on shows and movies that are similar. Basically it’s just an event for Seokjin to talk to everyone and get to know people so he can choose a few suitors to try and be with. He wonders, sitting on the grand stairway and looking up at their family photos, if he’ll ever have a family of his own and if it’ll be the outcome of this event.
Deep down, he would love to settle with someone more naturally.
He sighs as he digs his phone out of his pocket.
Seok_Jin:
Hi Jungkookie
How are you today?
JK97:
nervous
Seok_Jin:
Oh? Why are you nervous?
JK97:
i just am…
but i’m less nervous now that ure texting me ♡
how was ur day hyung?
Seokjin hopes that whatever is making Jungkook nervous won’t last too long. He worries for him, but decides to let Jungkook change the conversation anyways.
Seok_Jin:
You’re texting me so my day is much better now… ❤️
That event is tomorrow 😕 Not looking forward to it
JK97:
i’m sorry :(
i hope you find someone who cares for you no matter what 🙂
Seok_Jin:
No need to apologize. It isn’t your fault
I wish you were here with me instead
The alpha sighs and shuts his phone off, tapping it against the side of his head because What the fuck was that? There’s no way he just sent something like that. Jungkook is going to think he’s weird.
He cringes to himself as he hears his phone ding with the familiar AlphaPrince notification. He grimaces as he opens the app to see what Jungkook sent, terrified of what he has to say in return.
JK97:
i wanna be with you too, hyung
Kicking his feet like a schoolgirl, Seokjin blushes and earns curious glances from the workers around him. He eyes them back, clearing his throat and stopping his weird shenanigans before hurrying up off the steps and practically running to his bedroom.
Of course, Jungkook doesn’t mean it in any way. Seokjin’s wolf unhelpfully thinks that Jungkook wants to be with him in return, but Jungkook obviously meant that he wants to physically be here with Seokjin. That’s all he meant… right? Of course.
Wishful thinking.
Still, it doesn’t stop Seokjin from hiding in his bedroom and looking at the message all night long. He couldn’t care less about the event being set up downstairs because all he cares about is how Jungkook makes him feel.
JK97:
you’re my favorite person, hyung
Jungkook makes him feel special.
∙~•♥︎•~∙
The next morning, Seokjin wakes up and looks at those last few messages again. He wants to engrave it in his brain because if he wants to successfully find a potential omega, then he wants to find someone similar to Jungkook—shameless, sure, but he wants to find someone who will be on the same level as him, just like Jungkook is. He needs someone to match his energy like him. He needs someone to tease and joke around with just like he can with Jungkook.
God, he wishes he could have Jungkook.
The castle entrance is set up so nicely, but Seokjin is brought to one of the back rooms as the guests start coming in. He’ll make a grand entrance once everyone is here. The entire hour he sits back there, he thinks about how nice it would be if he could just live life in his own way. But then his parents come in and gesture for him to follow.
“It’s time.”
He’ll never get to live how he wants to.
∙~•♥︎•~∙
Stars fill Jungkook’s eyes the second he lands in Seokjin’s kingdom—and it’s not just because the kingdom is named The Star Kingdom. It’s because he’s so in awe as he gets to see Seokjin’s home in person.
Just minutes ago, he’d messaged Seokjin and told him you’re my favorite person, and it shows in his exaggerated features with how amazed he is just to see things in person that Seokjin had sent him photos of before. Everything about Seokjin puts him in awe. He sees things like the center statue of the kingdom’s historic alpha and the view from the park bench that Seokjin was sitting at a week ago as he sent a photo of a tiny squirrel to Jungkook. They’d named the squirrel together; Coconut, because the squirrel seemed to like Seokjin’s coconut scent.
He wonders what Seokjin’s castle looks like in person. Just the other day, he’d sent a photo of his favorite spot in the castle—the reading nook at the far end where nobody stays. Seokjin is an introvert. Jungkook wants to be introverted with him.
The entire night, Jungkook finds it hard to sleep despite the fancy hotel they’re staying in. The bed feels amazing, but he keeps waking up because he’s just so nervous yet excited and scared.
When the morning comes, he can’t sit still as the makeup artist tries to put some neutral eyeshadow on him. She struggles, but Jungkook is glad that someone is struggling with him because damn is he struggling to keep his knee from bouncing.
“Sorry. Just nervous.”
She gives him a soft smile. “I can see that.” She finishes him off with a bit of blush and a dab of lipgloss. “You’re all set.”
Getting his hair done is just as much of a struggle. But eventually, he’s looking flawless and ready to button his dress shirt on. He tucks it into his new suit pants and tugs his blazer on. Once he puts on his tie, some earrings, and a few rings, he’s all ready.
The event starts in an hour.
He seriously can’t sit still. On his way to one of the royal cars sent to pick up all the families invited to the event, Jungkook somehow becomes even more nervous than he was before; the omegas surrounding the hotel are all dressed so nicely and they also have such wonderful scents.
What if they’re better than me?
It’s so hard not to think about the chance of being rejected by Seokjin. Everyone attending looks amazing.
When they pull up to the castle, Jungkook is in awe because of the modern look of it. There are lights built into the ground following up the driveway to show off the beauty of the lawn and castle. It seems as though everything has been rebuilt or freshened up at the very least. Even the bricks around each cherry blossom tree look brand new.
“This is a beautiful home,” Jungkook’s mother says. He can tell she likes it just by her lovely scent as she admires out of the window. Jeha and his dad also agree, and Jungkook is puzzled as his mother turns and looks him in the eyes. “You would be well off here, you know. They clearly take care of things.”
“I—” Jungkook stutters, “W-We take care of our place too, eomma!”
“I know that,” she laughs like any rich woman would, light and airy. “I’m just saying that I want you to marry into a nice family, is all.”
Jeha snickers out of the corner of Jungkook’s eyesight. He glares at him as Jeha says, “I bet hyung would love it here. Have you seen the prince he’s here to meet?”
“It’s not all about looks!” Jungkook tells his younger brother, swatting at his arm. “Don’t get into that mindset! Just because he’s hot doesn’t mean I should automatically like him.”
Of course, he does find Seokjin very attractive, but that’s not what made Jungkook begin to like him. He just doesn’t want Jeha to think so highly about looks over personality, is all.
“I’m not here to meet him just for fun,” he tells Jeha, and says it loud enough for his mom and dad to hear and listen to. They all three eye him, wondering what he means. “I’m here because I have had… a conversation or two… with Kim Seokjin before. I’d like to try my best to win him over, so please take this seriously.”
Jeha looks at him with suspicion, his dad looks proud, and his mom places her hand on his knee. “Son, we know. You’ve rejected many of these events before, so I knew this one was different for a reason. We’re here to support you and your endeavor.”
Jungkook smiles, glad to hear that his family knows him so well.
“Thank you. Now please help me calm down before I burst with anxiety.”
Jeha places his hands on each of Jungkook’s shoulders. “You got this! Kim Seokjin is going to fall in love with you at first sight!”
Hah. Now that’s some wishful thinking.
∙~•♥︎•~∙
The beginning of the event goes smoothly. Apparently Seokjin is somewhere hidden away from the rest of the party until everyone settles in, so Jungkook has time to settle down with a little bit of champagne. It helps loosen his nerves a bit.
For what seems like the billionth time, he checks his hair and makeup in the bathroom, and he jumps only slightly as a notification comes through his phone.
Seok_Jin:
I really seriously wish you were here.
I have to go out there in a few minutes :/
Wish me luck…
Jungkook doesn’t message back because he practically zooms out of the bathroom, terrified of missing the prince’s entrance. After rushing back to a very confused mother and father, the room full of chatter hushes into whispers as they look up the staircase that has fairy lights wrapped around the railing.
All Jungkook can see at first is the chandelier with diamonds dangling from it, but then he realizes that they’re all looking at a gorgeous woman and handsome man. They’re dressed in light blue, the man in a fancy tuxedo and the woman wearing a big ballroom dress. She looks stunning and the man looks pleased.
They are the King and Queen of The Star Kingdom.
The king speaks. “Thank you all for attending our precious alpha son’s event,” he says as the whispers die down to a complete silence. He gestures around the entrance. “I see you’ve all gotten comfortable. Make yourself at home, please. We hope to have a wonderful evening with you all, and I’m sure Prince Seokjin is also hoping the same.” He smiles and it reminds Jungkook of Seokjin’s smile, nice and sweet. “No need to keep you waiting any longer. Ladies and gentlemen, Kim Seokjin!”
Jungkook holds his breath as the king and queen start heading down the steps to allow the spotlight on someone else. Not just anybody else. Kim Seokjin.
It’s like the blood rushes through his veins as the image of white comes into his view. White tuxedo, gorgeous light blue trims down the fabric, and a cute little star brooch on his pocket. Jungkook might actually pass out from not breathing as the Kim Seokjin steps up to the top of the stairs and begins bowing, thanking people for coming.
It’s unreal, seeing him in person. Even though Jungkook is down the stairs and is nowhere near close enough to the alpha, he can see just how gorgeous Seokjin is. No filter, no phone screen. His skin is like honey and he’s glistening under the chandelier and fairy lights.
“Thank you all for coming,” the alpha announces quietly. God, he’s so shy, just like he’s always told Jungkook and Jungkook never believed it could be true because of how outgoing he was when talking to him. But now he sees it in person. Seokjin awkwardly bows and waves, gives a shy smile, and he’s quiet as he thanks everyone for coming.
He’s so fucking gorgeous and adorable.
There’s at least a couple hundred different scents mixed just in this one room, but Jungkook’s flowery scent goes off the charts and he can’t keep still to save his life.
“Stop moving so much,” Jeha tells him, trying to hold Jungkook’s fingers away from picking at his suit. “You’re just going to ruin your outfit and it’ll look bad in front of him.”
That’s the reason Jungkook stops. If there’s one thing about his brother, it’s that he knows what to say to make Jungkook listen. He might be older, but Jeha is the alpha of the two and Jeha knows that Jungkook will stop picking at his clothes if he tells him the truth, harshly.
Jungkook doesn’t want to look bad in front of Seokjin.
Jungkook easily stops picking at his clothes.
That doesn’t stop his mind from exploding with a trillion thoughts as Seokjin joins the crowd. He can’t help but wonder what Seokjin will think. Will Seokjin be mad? Sad? Disappointed? Will he kick Jungkook out and let Jungkook be an embarrassment to his whole family?
No. Seokjin would never do that.
He may be disappointed, though. It might not even be disappointment from Jungkook lying, either. Jungkook also fears that he’ll be disappointed in Jungkook’s entire being period. What if he doesn’t like Jungkook’s hair? His makeup? His outfit? What if he doesn’t like his scent? What if he prefers a certain height or a certain hair color or something? What if—
“Son,” King Jeon mutters lowly as he nudges Jungkook with his elbow. “Take a drink and calm down. Your scent is worrying the other guests too.”
Jungkook didn’t mean to give secondhand anxiety to the other omegas around. But hell, they probably want to impress Seokjin just as much as he does. There’s no way they aren’t nervous as well. But, from a distance, Jungkook can see a princess trying to throw herself onto Seokjin as if he’s already hers. Maybe not everyone is nervous; she doesn’t seem to be.
Driven by his competitive ways, Jungkook straightens his shoulders and takes a nice big drink of his champagne, then sets his empty glass down on a tray as a butler walks by. Seokjin is coming closer, getting away from the princess, and Jungkook is leaning into his confidence a little more—mostly because of the alcohol.
He stands there with his hands behind his back, watching and waiting as the alpha prince comes closer. As if he couldn’t get more gorgeous, he does. Jungkook shudders at the sight of Seokjin’s jawline and piercing brown eyes. And as the faint scent of coconut draws closer, Jungkook inhales, remembering how Seokjin told him his scent weeks ago.
It’s soft yet strong, and it’s even laced with a bit of anxiety of its own. Seokjin must hate walking through all these people and meeting them like this. He’d even told Jungkook that he didn’t want to do it. He doesn’t want to get married just right now.
Still, he greets all the omegas who attend the event as if he wants to.
He’s great at keeping a poker face going.
But his poker face wasn’t so much of a poker face, Jungkook realizes. Because what he thought was a decent smile turns into so much more as Seokjin closes his eyes and inhales quietly, no longer listening to the butler who’s trying to tell him something beside him.
Jungkook flinches as Seokjin’s eyes open up and the alpha looks in his direction. He clasps his hands tightly together as Seokjin’s eyes meet his, and the alpha’s eyes slowly widen in realization. It’s almost funny, how Seokjin rubs his eyes as if to make sure he’s not imagining things. Jungkook feels a little lighter as he chuckles, but he sucks in his bottom lip as Seokjin makes a beeline towards him.
Seokjin’s poker face is gone and instead, he looks so relieved. His eyes are soft, his smile is huge, and his scent is wonderful as it engulfs Jungkook’s area. The second Seokjin pushes through people to get to him, he towers over Jungkook but then leans down as he slides right into Jungkook’s arms, wrapping his own around Jungkook’s waist.
“You’re actually here?” is Seokjin’s first words to him. Relief is heavy in his tone.
Jungkook hugs him back, shuddering as the alpha nuzzles into his shoulder. “Yes, hyung. I’m here. It’s really me.” He can feel Seokjin’s chest expand against his own body as the alpha inhales, and they’re both in pure bliss as they meet for the first time.
But then Seokjin goes still—Jungkook didn’t realize Seokjin was rubbing his back so lovingly until the feeling goes away.
“Wait.” Seokjin pulls Jungkook in closer, pressing his nose right against his scent gland. Jungkook shudders at the feeling, but Seokjin is quick to pull away and look him in the eyes. The softness in his orbs has turned into confusion now. “You– Are you an omega?”
The scent of his wonderful coconut dims down a little because he’s unsure. Jungkook doesn’t blame him for being confused. He expected this. So, Jungkook nods slowly, giving him an unsure and soft smile in return.
“I’m sorry. I should’ve told you sooner. But I thought that maybe now would be the time to… confess.” Jungkook glances around at all the people eyeing them and whispering to each other. “You can continue your event, hyung. I’m sorry, we can talk about this later.”
“Don’t be sorry.” Seokjin steps closer. What Jungkook was expecting was anger or disappointment in the very least, but Seokjin’s eyes are so caring and curious as he searches Jungkook’s eyes in return. He places his hands on Jungkook’s waist and he instantly melts to the touch. “We’ll talk about this later. I just… I need to think, okay?”
“Okay. That’s okay, hyung. Take all the time you need.”
It might be wishful thinking, but the little squeeze Seokjin gives on his waist and the way he smiles so genuinely as if he’s happy makes Jungkook wonder if that’s a good sign. Why does he look so relieved? Why does he close his eyes and smile so peacefully?
“I can’t believe this is real,” he chuckles as he opens his eyes again. Seokjin gestures for the man in the suit in tie following him around, telling him to make sure Jeon Jungkook meets with him after the event is over. Then he looks back at Jungkook. “I promise we’ll talk. Don’t you run off and leave, okay? I want to properly meet you and talk with you.”
“I promise I’m not going anywhere, hyung.”
They both smile at each other and Jungkook swears the world stops turning.
∙~•♥︎•~∙
There’s just no way. Absolutely no way is this real. How in the world is Jeon Jungkook an omega? Seokjin is so confused yet so excited that his brain hurts. He goes through each and every single omega with a huge smile on his face, but the smile isn’t because any of them. The only omega here who has him smiling this way is Jeon Jungkook.
And he didn’t even know Jeon Jungkook was an omega.
It’s too good to be true, right? This must be some sort of prank cam or something. There’s no way his dreams are coming true like this.
Wait.
Does Jungkook even like him, though? Why else would Jungkook come to the event to confess that he’s an omega now of all times? It’s so that Seokjin chooses him, right? He is signed up to be a potential mate for Seokjin, right?
He demands the list from his mother and father. Sure enough, Jeon Jungkook is on the list. Signed his name and everything. Seokjin smiles to himself as he traces the lines of Jungkook’s name signed on the registration.
He’s here to confess more than just his subgender, isn’t he?
Seokjin doesn’t even care about the obvious secret that Jungkook has kept from him this entire time. He’s positive that Jungkook has a reason for everything he did. He just hopes that Jungkook actually likes him and he isn’t deluding himself.
When the event finally comes to an end, Seokjin sees everybody off and his heart pounds excitedly as the castle entrance finally empties out and all that’s left is Jungkook and his family. Jeha, who is Jungkook’s brother, is an alpha. Seokjin never knew that until now. He assumes that he’s the one who gave Jungkook his AlphaPrince code.
“Son,” Seokjin’s mother calls out to him as the two families merge together. Seokjin is too busy looking at Jungkook to notice she’s talking to him—not until she clears her throat and he acknowledges.
“Oh- Yes?”
She gives him a sweet smile and lightly laughs with the Jeon family as well. They clearly saw that Seokjin was staring. “Son, why have you called for Prince Jeon Jungkook to stay after the event? Have you already chosen someone to be with?”
Fire rushes to Seokjin’s cheeks and his scent smells strongly of coconut because not only does his mom sort of embarrass him, but Jungkook gently tugs his hair behind his ear and it’s so cute that he can’t handle it. “I- I just wanted to speak with him. I’m not sure if he… would want that…”
Now, Jungkook’s eyes light up and it’s not just because of the fairy lights in the room. “Hyung, would that be something you’d want? To be with me?”
“Hyung?” King Kim repeats in question, looking back and forth between Seokjin and Jungkook with interest. “I see. So you two must know each other?”
“This is so embarrassing,” Seokjin says as he puts his hands over his face, hiding from the world. He mumbles through his palms, “Could Prince Jungkook and I please have a word alone? That’s what I asked him to stay for.” He peeks behind his fingers and sees Jungkook smiling. To see him smiling in person is just so much. He’s gorgeous.
“Of course, son.” He hears his mother’s heels click onto the hard floor as she speaks to Jungkook’s family. “Let me show you to our seating area. Would you like a beverage while we wait?” she offers, and soon enough, they’re all leaving Seokjin and Jungkook behind.
Seokjin flinches as he feels soft fingers press into the back of his hand. Slowly, Jungkook pulls Seokjin’s hands away from his face and he gently slides his fingers over his palms, reassuring him.
“Let’s sit somewhere too, hyung.”
The closest place to sit is on the stairs, so that’s where Seokjin takes him. He doesn’t care if it messes up his white suit. When they sit side-by-side, the feeling is so warm and perfect. Seokjin could get used to sitting by Jungkook for the rest of his life, really.
“Hyung, I’m so sorry for lying to you, first of all.” Jungkook isn’t looking him in the eyes. He’s frowning, crossing his arms over his knees. His side profile is so unique, and perfectly so. Seokjin stares as the omega explains, “I just wanted a friend, truthfully. My brother didn’t want to use the app, so I used his code. And I did make a friend. You’re someone I never want to lose, hyung.”
“You’ll never lose me, Jungkook-ah.” Seokjin nudges him with his leg, teasing softly. “I understand you just wanted a friend. And I’ll always be a friend for you.” He gently nudges again. “But that’s not really why you’re here, is it?”
Jungkook turns to look Seokjin in the eyes. He looks a bit scared, yet he gives a little smile anyways. “Hyung, I never meant to like you. I swear.”
All the fear that was once in Seokjin’s mind easily fades away. Jeon Jungkook likes him. His entire world shifts within an instant. “I never meant to like you either,” he tells Jungkook, and the omega’s eyes soften as his shoulders ease from all the tenseness. His scent is like a beautiful assortment of flowers and it’s so calming and relieving.
Seokjin turns his body towards Jungkook’s and lifts his palm to his jaw, leading him closer. He takes in the little gasp that leaves Jungkook’s lips as he leans in. As if they’re meant to click together like a puzzle piece, their lips find each other easily. Never in his life has Seokjin ever wanted to kiss someone so badly, and here he is, doing just that.
The kiss lingers for a handful of seconds before they both exhale, softening into each other’s lips. They don’t want to let go. Neither of them make a move to deepen or stop the kiss. It’s just them with their lips locked and nothing else to stop them from being together.
Well, that is until Jungkook reaches for Seokjin’s blazer and pulls him in closer, letting out a little hum as he moves his lips against his. They kiss for what seems like minutes before the sound of heels clicking on the floor makes them pull away.
“Ah, I see you two are having a lovely time,” Seokjin’s mom ruins the moment. Seokjin makes a mental note to pretend he’s strangling her neck later on. For now, he blushes like crazy and rubs the back of his neck as she smiles sweetly at them.
“Very lovely time,” Jungkook admits. It only makes Seokjin blush harder.
His mother freaking laughs. “Well? I just came to check on you two. Are decisions being made or..?”
“Eomma,” Seokjin finally lets out in desperation, “I don’t want to marry anyone right now. Can’t I just enjoy my time with Jungkook? Can’t we be together naturally?” he asks as he takes Jungkook’s hand in his. His mother hums, crossing her arms.
“We threw an event because we wanted you to find love. Why didn’t you tell us that you had already found someone you loved, Kim Seokjin?”
Seokjin squeezes Jungkook’s hand. “Ah, I- I didn’t know. I didn’t know he was coming or that he liked me back. But now that I do, can we please just date? Like normal?”
Jungkook smiles. “I promise to make your son happy, Queen Kim.”
“Hmm…” She taps her finger against her arm. “I suppose you two can date. But only if you promise me future marriage and grandbabies.”
Seokjin’s mouth falls open and Jungkook hides behind their intertwined fingers.
“Eomma!”
“Alright, alright!” She holds her hands up in defeat and backs away. “I’ll go stall the others so you two can wrap things up.” She smiles and waves at Jungkook, who waves back cutely as she walks off and leaves them alone once again. Seokjin groans.
“Why is my family so embarrassing?”
Jungkook is still smiling as he lays his head on Seokjin’s shoulder. “What’s more embarrassing than lying and using some app just to make friends off of it?”
“To be fair,” Seokjin says as he also lays his head against Jungkook’s. It’s nice and warm, their scents smell so heavenly together, and Seokjin loves the way Jungkook plays with their intertwined fingers. “I also downloaded the app just to make a friend. I guess we’re both embarrassing, if that’s the case.”
“Hmn, I guess we can be embarrassments together.” They fall into a bit of silence. Seokjin wonders if there’s any chance whatsoever that they can stay in this position all night, chatting away. “Hyung?” Jungkook questions and Seokjin hums in return. “What are we going to do now? Are we going to date?”
Seokjin’s body tenses up. “Is that what you want? Sorry, I didn’t even ask…”
“Seriously?” Jungkook pulls himself away from Seokjin’s shoulder and looks the confused alpha in the eyes, determination in his own. “Are you seriously asking if I want to date you? After I just confessed and kissed you?”
“I—” Seokjin frowns. “I don’t know. I just want to make sure.”
Jungkook leans closer until his lips meet Seokjin’s with a soft peck. It lasts exactly two seconds, but Seokjin will feel the tingle on his flesh for the entire rest of the week.
“I want to be with you,” Jungkook reassures him. His eyes brighten as he smiles. “Will you be my alpha, Prince Kim Seokjin?”
The question sends shivers up Seokjin’s spine. He lets out an amused chuckle because Jungkook emphasizes alpha prince. “Of course. I’ll be your Alpha-Prince.”
Seokjin lifts Jungkook’s chin with two fingers and leans in, attaching their lips a third time. Unlike the first kiss which was inexperienced and sweet, this kiss is full of a feisty desire and craving that neither of them gave into before. This kiss leaves them wanting more and more and has their hands roaming each other’s neck and arms. They slip their tongues over each other’s lips just to taste the champagne from tonight’s event.
From soft and sweet to rushed and needy, Seokjin wants to experience it all with Jungkook. He wants his kiss in a million different ways in a million different places.
Jungkook wants to feel Seokjin’s hold and dive into his coconut scent. For the rest of time, he’d love to just get lost in kisses like this with this alpha in particular.
Nothing beats the presence of each other. If there’s one thing they gathered from the experience of the AlphaPrince app, it’s that they quite literally cannot be separated. Somehow, in some way, despite all odds, they were still able to get together.
They were merely looking for a friend, yet they got so much more than just that. Friends like them are meant to last forever. But as lovers, they’ll last an eternity and more.

Bonus Scene
Jungkook has never felt so happy in his life. He wasn’t sure how well Seokjin would take the news that he isn’t an alpha, but he took it pretty well. Instead of being mad or upset with Jungkook, he was just happy to see Jungkook in person and meet him for the first time.
More than anything, Seokjin was so happy when he started courting Jungkook. It didn’t even take a full day before he was offering Jungkook a date with a meal and flowers, lightly scenting the castle guest room blankets that the Kims offered for Jungkook and his family.
Weeks have passed and Seokjin has sent gifts and cute messages the whole time. They call each other every night even if it’s just to hear each other’s voices.
Today, Seokjin is visiting Jungkook’s kingdom.
Jungkook invites him to his bedroom and shows him his gaming setup. They sit together and play for a while, bumping their arms and brushing their fingers together. The warmth is comforting and Jungkook gets lost in Seokjin’s eyes more than once.
“Hyung,” Jungkook lets out as he pokes at Seokjin’s side. The alpha hums, tilting his head to see what Jungkook wants. “Let’s go lay down and cuddle for a while.”
Seokjin’s mouth forms an o. “Y-You want to cuddle?” He turns to look at Jungkook’s bed, which is covered with fancy modern blankets. “You want to cuddle right now?”
Jungkook gets up from his chair and tugs at Seokjin’s t-shirt. “Come on, alpha. We’ve never done it before. Don’t you want to?”
“Of course,” Seokjin agrees as he follows Jungkook to the bed.
They pull back each side of the blanket and get underneath. Jungkook has never had anyone else in his bed, so it’s unfamiliar yet very welcomed as he scoots in close to Seokjin’s body. He’s warm and soft, so perfect to cuddle up to. But it’s a trillion times better whenever Seokjin turns and wraps his arms around Jungkook’s waist.
“I just want you to know,” Seokjin whispers with that sweet voice of his, “that this bed smells just like you. It smells amazing.”
A smile stretches across Jungkook’s mouth and he closes his eyes, snuggling up into Seokjin’s chest and holding him tight. Seokjin holds him back just as tightly, nuzzling his nose right into Jungkook’s hair.
“I think it smells better now,” Jungkook tells him. “Your scent mixed with mine. It’s good.”
“Just good?”
“It’s amazing.”
It’s so much more than that, but Jungkook simplifies it for his own sanity. And the both of them cuddle up close, subtly scenting and caressing each other until their words die down and they fall into a peaceful slumber. It’s the best Jungkook has ever slept. He smiles in his sleep, knowing that Seokjin is just as satisfied because of his lovely coconut scent and his soft features.
He’s so excited for all the future instances where he gets to cuddle his alpha, and he’s even more excited for a trillion other things that he gets to do with Seokjin. For every new memory they make together, Jungkook is ready for the next step. For now, he’s happy with something as simple as cuddling his boyfriend for the first time. He wouldn’t change a thing in the world about the warmth and comfort that Kim Seokjin gives him.
It’s a perfection that he never wants to lose.
