Work Text:

Uraume was a loyal wife.

She never did anything that would make her husband, Sukuna think anything less of her. She would make him the best dinner, show her respect to him, make sure everything was to his likings, showing and telling the love she had for him, and even making sure he was very much pleased with her in the bedroom.

Uraume was a loyal wife, but that didn't mean her husband was even as loyal as her nor was he remorseful or subtle about it.

Sukuna would come back after an entire day at work, smelling of booze and women, not even caring to clean himself before he came home from his "business meetings", as he calls them. He would often leave the place a mess just for her to clean it, making her find the condoms and other disgusting, to her at least, things that were left by him in his home office. He would often berate her for being late when it was only a minute pass the time schedule, whereas he would always be late for their date nights and married time, even on his day offs.

(She knows that he was fucking another woman, or even women (plural) and just leaving them after he got his fill and going back to her.)

But Uraume was calm. She was a loyal wife. She would gladly let her husband be as long as she was still in the picture, as long as he gave her some time of the day, as long as he kept coming back, she was hooked and ready to let him do whatever. Uraume was a loyal wife and she was happy and content with this.

(No, she wasn't. She hasn't been happy since they finally got married years back. She wakes up to him not even there, leaving her cold in those sheets, knwoing he went to another woman's place to get satisfied (was she neevr enough for him...).

He would complain to her about getting the taste wrong to a dish and then throwing away her hardwork. He would question everytime she went on, demanding why she was late and if she was seeing another man, when he was being a hypocrite himself and seeing other women behind her back.

She could still remember the sting and pain on her face as she was slapped by him when she said that, and the slew of apologies that fell from his mouth as he realised what he had done. Yet, he didn't stop his infidelity and continued doing what he had always been doing, even when he promised he would stop and just focus on her.)

Yet, she was still loyal to him, even when he wasn't to her. Yes, she was loyal. She was his loyal wife....

That was until he came into the picture.

Yuji Itadori, her husband's nephew from his younger twin brother, Jin. He had came here to live with them for the time being, as he was trying to get a job nearby. Sukuna at first was reluctant on having him stay here, but his brother convinced him otherwise and Yuji was now living with them until he got a job and could find a place for himself.

He was a breath of fresh air, if Uraume was being honest. He looked like a more smaller and younger version of her husband, but was definitely more kinder and more respectful in a way. He helped out with chores when he could, do his own dishes and laundry, knew how to make even she laugh and sometimes Sukuna, which was rare in its own right.

(She had asked him later on to teach her this secret, which he promptly burtsed out laughing at her serious request.)

It was... fun when he was there. It felt at home at last when he was around the house while her husband was off at work or probably screwing another woman and getting drunk. It didn't feel... lonely anymore, but she knew it wasn't for long as he continued to tried to find work and a place for him to stay, leaving her to her own things as well as her thoughts. She tried to ignore the bond she was undoubtably growing with her husband's nephew, she tried to keep a distance at all times so that it wouldn't hurt when he finally moves away and she doesn't see him much afterwards.

(But that didn't amount to the thoughts and feelingd she continued to have. The way he tried to make her feel comfortable and happy around him. The way he made sure to not be an inconvenience in any way possible. The way he made her laugh with his stupid puns and jokes, which she actually sometimes didn't get but the punchline still makes her laugh at times.

...She didn't ignore how he looked at her. How his eyes seem to radiate with something akin to affection or desire? She wasn't blind to him staring at her assets at times, even though she really didn't pack much in her own opinion. She didnt miss the fa t he wpuld blush whenever she was too close to him or how he stuttered out a response afterwards. She didn't miss how he would get embarrassed and flustered when he accidentally held her hand to prevent her from slipping one time.

She didn't know but it made her feel... good. Good that she was still pleasing to look at. Good that she was still able to invoke these types of feelings in a man, even though it wasn't her husband. But she always reminded herself she was loyal. That she was loyal to her husband and would never do anything to disprove that.)

Though it would change one night, when Yuji came home drunk after going to the bar with his friends at night. They were celebrating him finally getting a job, and would start in a week. As a celebration, they went to a locla bar and started to drink the entire night away. Megumi, she believed his name was, was a friend of Yuji and a worker under her husband's company, brought him back and awkwardly apologizes for coming back with Yuji in this state.

She shook her head with a sigh, and smiled, telling thank you and she would take care of it from here. As Megumi left, Uraume looked at Yuji, who was red in the face drunk, looking at her with a dopey smile that also made her crack a small smile as well. She tried to get him up and drag him into his room, "Yuuji, come on. Let's get you to bed," She then smelled him and scrunched her nose, "Also... you need to lay off the drinks and take a bath later. You smell like shit." Uraume allowed herself to swear around him, since he was already an adult instead of that young teenage boy she met years back.

As she guided him to his room, the weight of his lean body on her frail frame reminded Uraume of the stark contrast between his carefree spirit and her husband's burdensome presence. She carefully laid him down on the bed and started to undo his shoelaces, a task she had done for her own husband countless times before. But as she did so, she couldn't help but feel a different kind of warmth spreading through her, a warmth she hadn't felt in years. His hand grabbed hers, and his eyes, though blurred by the alcohol, held a genuine, heartfelt gratitude that was more potent than any affection Sukuna had ever given her. And in that moment, with the silence of the night wrapping around them like a blanket, the walls she had built to protect her heart began to crack, revealing the yearning and loneliness she had hidden for so long.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she met his gaze, and she realized she didn't know what to say or do next. The air between them grew thick with unspoken words and feelings she had never allowed herself to acknowledge. Uraume's eyes searched his, looking for any hint of what might come next, and she found something she didn't expect—longing and tenderness that mirrored her own. For a moment, she felt a flicker of something she hadn't felt in years: desire.

The room around them seemed to shrink, and the only thing that existed was the warmth of his hand on hers, the smell of alcohol on his breath, and the heat of his body so near hers. She swallowed hard, trying to push down the butterflies that had taken flight in her stomach, but they only grew more insistent. And as if in answer to an unasked question, Yuji leaned in closer, his eyes fluttering shut, and she felt his soft, unexpected kiss on her lips. It was gentle and sweet, a stark contrast to the harshness she had become accustomed to from Sukuna.

Time seemed to stand still as she processed the sensation, and for a fleeting moment, she let herself enjoy it, forgetting about her vows and her loyalty. But as quickly as it had come, the moment passed, and she pulled away, the reality of their situation crashing down upon her like a wave. What had just happened? Did she betray her husband? Her mind raced, but she knew she had to address it, to set things right before they spun out of control. She took a deep, trembling breath and whispered, "Yuji, we... we can't..." But her voice trailed off, the words feeling like a lie even as she said them. Yet, as if he didn't heard her, he pulled her towards him and wrapped her in his embrace.

Yuji's grip tightened around her, his eyes searching hers with a mix of confusion and desperation. "But why not, Uraume-nee?" he murmured, the alcohol making his voice softer, yet more earnest than usual. "You're always taking care of me, making me happy when I'm down. Can't I do the same for you?" His words were a whisper, a plea that seemed to resonate deep within her, echoing the silent cries of her long-neglected heart. She felt his breath, warm and slightly minty, against her cheek as he leaned in again, his lips seeking hers in a kiss that was anything but innocent. This time, she didn't pull away. Instead, she allowed herself to melt into his embrace, feeling the weight of her own unfulfilled desires and the promise of something real that had been missing from her life for so long.

Their kiss grew more passionate, as if the years of loneliness and yearning were finally finding their release. Uraume's hands, which had been resting tentatively on his shoulders, began to explore the contours of his chest and back, feeling the muscles beneath his shirt that she had only ever seen from a distance. His fingers gently combed through her chin-length white hair, the irregular streak of dark pink adding to the allure of the moment. His eyes searched hers, a question in his dark pink irises that seemed to ask if she was okay with this, if she truly wanted this. And she did, more than she had ever wanted anything, because for the first time in so long, she felt seen, appreciated, and loved. She didn't know how it had come to this, but she knew she couldn't deny the connection that burned so fiercely between them.

Yuji's touch was tender, almost reverent, as if he knew the weight of the line they were crossing. His thumb traced the curve of her cheekbone, wiping away a tear that had escaped the corner of her eye. The love in his gaze was undeniable, and it washed away the last of her hesitation. Her heart fluttered in her chest, and she leaned into him, deepening their kiss as she allowed herself to be swept away by the current of emotions that had been building inside her for so long. It was a betrayal, yes, but in this moment, it felt like the most right thing she had ever done.

The intensity of their kiss grew, their breaths mingling and their hearts racing as one. Uraume felt the warmth of Yuji's hand slip down to her waist, pulling her closer to him, and she realized that the line she had drawn for herself had been crossed. She didn't know how it had come to this, but the love she had long ago buried surfaced with a ferocity she couldn't resist.

Despite the guilt gnawing at her, she found herself responding to him, her own hands exploring the contours of his body, feeling the strength and the warmth that she had been denied for so long. As their kiss grew more passionate, she knew she had to tell him the truth about her feelings, about her pain and her longing for affection. But as she tried to pull back to find the right words, his grip only tightened, silently urging her to stay. And for a brief, stolen moment, she did, allowing herself to revel in the sweetness of their forbidden connection.

Their bodies pressed closer together, and the room was filled with the sound of their muffled gasps and the rustling of fabric as their hands grew bolder. The guilt and hesitation were slowly drowning under the wave of passion that had been building within Uraume for so long.

She felt a sense of liberation in this moment of rebellion against the cold, lonely life she had been leading. But as she felt the warmth of his touch, she couldn't help but wonder if this was truly the path she wanted to take. Was this love or just a fleeting desire born out of desperation? Her thoughts were interrupted when Yuji's hand reached the zipper of her dress, and she stiffened, her mind racing with the implications of their actions. The sound of the zipper being lowered was like a siren, jolting her back to reality.

She broke the kiss, panting, and looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of regret or doubt. But all she saw was the same raw need and love that mirrored her own. She knew she had to make a choice—either to succumb to this forbidden love or to pull away and maintain the façade of the loyal wife she had always been. Her heart and body screamed for her to stay, but her conscience whispered the consequences of their actions. The weight of her decision hung heavy in the air as she took a step back, her hand shakily touching her kiss-swollen lips.

Uraume's eyes searched Yuji's, her voice shaky yet firm as she whispered, "Let's not go too far tonight." Her hand gently rested on his chest, feeling the rapid beating of his heart beneath her fingertips. Despite the heat of the moment, she knew that crossing that line would only bring them pain in the end. She didn't want to become the very thing she despised in Sukuna—disloyal and unfaithful. The room was silent except for their ragged breaths, the air thick with the electricity of their shared desire.

For a moment, Yuji's expression was one of disappointment, but it quickly morphed into understanding as he nodded, his own hand coming up to cover hers. "Okay, Uraume-nee," he said, his voice filled with a gentle resolve. They both knew the path they were on was a dangerous one, but the connection between them was undeniable. With a sigh, Uraume helped him out of the rest of his clothes and into bed, tucking him in with a soft smile.

As she left the room, she felt a mix of relief and regret. The walls around her heart hadn't fully crumbled, but the cracks had widened, and she couldn't ignore the feelings that had been awakened within her. As she walked back to her own room, she knew she would have to face the reality of her situation and decide if she was willing to risk everything for a chance at happiness, or if she would continue to be the loyal wife she had always been, even if it meant living a life devoid of love.

Uraume lay in her own bed, the echoes of their passionate kiss resonating through her body. She had never felt such an intense yearning before, and as she recalled the way Yuji's hand had felt on her waist, she found her own hand moving to mirror the sensation. Her fingertips danced over the fabric of her nightgown, tracing the curves that had once been so cherished by her husband. It was foreign, this feeling of desire for someone other than Sukuna, and yet it filled her with a warmth she hadn't felt in years. With trembling hands, she inched the material up, her eyes closing as she tentatively touched her own skin.

The sensation was new, thrilling, and it brought forth a blush to her cheeks that hadn't been there in a very long time. She had always been reserved, giving herself only to her husband as duty called, but now, in the quiet of the night, she allowed herself to explore the depths of her own desires. Her breath hitched as she touched the place where his hand had rested, and she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to have that connection with him. The guilt was there, a dull ache in the back of her mind, but it was overpowered by the need to feel alive again.

As she lay there, she allowed herself to drift into a fantasy world where she was loved and desired, where she wasn't just a loyal wife, but a woman whose love was returned in kind. The tension grew within her, and she bit her lip to stifle the moan that threatened to escape, the sound of her own pleasure a stark contrast to the silence of the room. But even as she found solace in her own touch, she knew that this was only a temporary escape from the reality that waited for her in the light of day. Her heart was torn between loyalty and the promise of something more, and she didn't know if she was ready to face the consequences of her actions. Yet, as she lay there, breathless and trembling, she couldn't help but feel that she had already made her choice.

Also this was honestly something that I thought of in the moment yet I think it works out.
