Moth and the Moon (aka domestic Samarina)

Summary:

I like writing slice of life of my ships. Samarina does not fit this style of writing. I'm doing it anyways. Sorry for ooc but this is just for fun, characters will not act fully accurate to the canon.

A collection of random oneshots involving Samarie and Marina dating and living together. This fanfiction will contain mostly fluff but will later on have smut and possible angst. Also events of the Termina Festival are implied, just not specifically stated. I might add more characters if I feel like it! Also this fanfiction is going to be boring, cozy stuff with occasional graphic stuff so yeah.

Notes:

Hii! First chapter is going to be quite meh so apologies. I wrote it while I was hanging out with a friend so I wasn't too focused, and also it's mostly an expedition dump. Anyways enjoyy and sorry for any grammar mistakes!

Chapter 1: Moving in!

Chapter Text

A few years had gone by since Samarie and Marina have met. Actually met. A lot can happen in a few years. Nearly avoiding death, fighting gods, copious amounts of therapy, switching work fields. People change a bit too. If they put in the effort of course.

After all those years the two girls grew close. It took a while, and Samarie getting proper help before even getting into any sort of relationship, but after 3 years the two girls began to date. Properly date. As girlfriends.

They decided to buy a house together. Small, a bit out of the town in a forest. Not too deep in but still. They didn't have much stuff, so they just tossed most of it into a car and had a small storage trailer hooked up.

"Finally," Marina sighed, immediately opening the door. "Th- the car ride was only an h-hour," Samarie mumbled in response. "No silly, I mean we finally own a place together," Marina laughed. Samarie blushed lightly, giving a small smile. "I'm going to check this place out, figure out where everything should go," Marina said, walking off into the kitchen.

It was nice being able to just.. Live. Have a normal life. They had gotten new jobs. Marina was less than satisfied with her's, working at another church. But, it was a job. A job she knew like the back of her hand. Samarie, meanwhile, got hired at a small bookstore. They were a small business and understanding of Samarie's poor health and lack of social skills. They were willing to work with her so long as she gave it her all. Both were closer to their new house, luckily, so thank Alll-mer for that.

Marina jumped out of her thoughts upon hearing a loud thud and yelp. She sighed, walking to the front door. Just what she suspected. "Samarie, I told you I can handle this! You get the smaller stuff," Marina rolled her eyes, walking over to her frail girlfriend. "B-but I want to help you!" Samarie smiled, panting from how much effort she had put in just to move one box. She was slowly healing from all her Ninth Circle wounds and illnesses, but she was still extremely weak. "You can help!.. With the smaller stuff," Marina patted Samarie's shoulder, heading outside to help with moving. Samarie followed her closely.

"B-but I can get the heavy ones!!" Samarie insisted, lifting another heavy box.. Only to almost trip flat on her back. Marina luckily prevented her fall by grabbing the other side. "If we lifted the heavy ones together would that make you feel better?" Marina asked. Samarie nodded. "Fine, I guess we can do it like this," Marina sighed, smiling to assure Samarie she was just playing with her.

..

After a few hours of moving boxes and setting furniture up, the two girls were finally finished. Well, Marina was finished. Samarie nearly crashed out an hour earlier, so Marina let her lay down in bed for a bit. Besides the last of everything was just house decor and personal items. When Marina finished the last room, the living room, she went into their bedroom. It was small but cozy. It had a seating area by the window, and the two set up some nice lights so it felt very warm. Marina noticed Samarie passed out in bed already, curled up in her usual strange sleeping position. Marina sighed softly in bliss, going to the closet to change into something more comfortable.

She changed into a soft pink lace top and bottoms, both matching. She walked over to the bed, nestling up to Samarie. She was still in her outfit, black pants with a white shirt and deep purple vest. But, given how exhausted she was, it would be best to just let her sleep for a while. Marina carefully nuzzled up to Samarie (which was weird given Samarie curls up in her sleep, like a dead spider or something), falling asleep with her after the long day.
