Castlevania nocturne Rewrite

Summary:

Castlevania lords of shadow + Castlevania nocturne rewriten from season 1 onwards.

Notes:

TBH I was kinda disappointed in Castlevania nocturne season 2 for the following reasons (Spoiler alert):

1: when Erzebet said "my sister the moon", I was hoping for us to see her in season 2 and, because the moon obviously, we could see some were-wolves.

2: I was hoping for "Amun Rah" to make an appearance after Erzebet's speech about him.

3: I was hoping for the villains to be beaten by some power of love stuff, Tera's loving sacrifice in the end of season 1 felt very Harry Potter. Instead we got basically the baddies being beaten by a powerful god and powerful individuals who just happened to be around for providing aid once the heroes came along and whined hard enough for it, like the Bendu in Star Wars.

4: I'm kinda disappointed that, after that speech of hers in the church, Erzebet turned out to be just a sad wannabe as opposed to an actual God.

5: I was kinda hoping that we would get more supernatural creatures than just the same ones from season 1, plus a dragon, in season 2. Castlevania seems to be almost exclusively vampires and magic users and TBH it's gotten kinda old.

So, I am re-writing Castlevania nocturne from the end of season 1 onwards.

Chapter 1: The revelations

Chapter Text

Tera awoke, and would have gasped if not for the gag around her mouth.

She was hanging by her hands which were chained to the ceiling of one of the dungeons below the church.

In front of her was the looming figure of the vampire messiah, and Drolta.

Drolta was draining blood from the neck of some man in a revolutionary uniform, next to an enormous pile of corpses of such people.

"I take it you want an explanation." The Hungarian accent sent a shiver down Tera's spine

The vampire God outstretched her hand and a holographic image detailing what she was describing came out of her hand by magic.

"Millions of years ago, before humans had even existed, contrary to your ridiculous religious myths, the sun erupted an entity whose will fused with the light the sun produced.

The entity was made of masses of sub atomic particles held by a will.

Not that you understand a word I am saying of course. Humans are for the most part pitifully under-educated and lacking in curiosity as to the "how" of the universe. They fixate on the "who", "what", "when", "where" and "why".

Nonetheless now that I am at my full strength, I feel an urge to monologue. I'm not sure what this urge is. Sentimentality perhaps. Vanity maybe. Or perhaps I feel sorry for you and wish to reassure you.

This entity would later become called Amon Ra by the Egyptians.

However during the journey he took to reach Earth, he came across another entity from another Star. They bonded and had through them 2 daughter entities: myself and my sister.

I named myself Wetranil, a name which has no meaning in any language I'm aware of, I choose it at random as a means of self-identification.

We both wanted to be with our parents forever, exploring and toying with the cosmos, seeing planets and stars far older than this planet which is a teenager in comparison.

But our father Amon rah, spotted life on this planet. Primitive, short lifespan, life. But life Nonetheless which relied on the sun light to see.

As men often do, he became vain, refused to leave this star system and revelled in their praise.

Myself and my sister wished to follow our mother who could not stay for long in this solar system due to the radiations. Our father grew possessive and banished us from Space.

I fell to Earth, my sister to the moon. My sister fused herself with the moon, essentially becoming it, whilst I on this Earth was without body. So I used my powers to make myself one through taking matter from various solids, liquids and gasses, including ones which were suitably processed in the bodies of living things. At first it was just a humble body, which merely contained my powers and didn't let me use them. When I told the humans who and what I was, they at first thought me a mad woman.

However my entity-powers were so that the body I made for myself began to deteriorate, until I began drinking blood. The blood also unlocked my powers.

I found that when I drank their blood I could also taste their emotions. I grew a taste for all kinds: positive and negative.

At first, the thirst was so strong I became a feral animal. Over time it dimmed.

My father was displeased by my blood drinking resulting in the deaths of his admirers, and so the sunlight became toxic to me and destroyed my body.

Before that however my powers were at their strongest, and I became known to the humans as Sekhmet.

I eventually managed to get a new body, the same way as I got my first one, but I needed to find a way to avoid destruction from my father's fucking light.

My father also made it so that the heat from the sun reduced my powers, even when the sun light wasn't directly on me.

So I made a deal with the mortals in Egypt who called me Sekhmet: I would use my powers to heal them of diseases and they would, willing sacrifce themselves to me on festival days. Their willingness of the sacrifices made it so that my entity powers could absorb their flesh in such a way that my father couldn't use the sunlight to harm me.

Darling Drolta over here was, and in some ways still is, my priestess. She was a victim of rapists. She turned to me because she wanted to feel the power of a vengeful woman. We formed quite a bond: we were both women abused by males. I made her my first human-turned vampire.

There are 2 types of vampires, at least. 1 type come from me, the other type come from a woman called Carmilla who was a founder of the brotherhood of light but then she ascended to a spiritual being whose power was second only to the universal creator (who is basically God, but his history is nothing like the literal stories of those silly myths of Abrahamic, or indeed any other kind, of religions), and unknowingly left behind her body which contained all of her selfish instincts which went onto become a vampie.

I cleverly used my powers to make symptoms of plague appear on the bodies of humans whose blood I drank while they were sleeping.

Over the millenias, I have taken many names to remain hidden from those who would destroy me and my kind, the most recent is the one of a Hungarian Countess who was, falsely, accused of bathing in the blood of virgins, because some men wanted to take her land. I made a deal with her: she was rescued and given a new identiy by me, and she gave me her identity. Her memories, her facial features and her rights.

I choose her identity because I knew that the lies about her would make it unsuprising for vampires from Carmilla's line, that she would be a vampire with unusual powers wishing to meet them. Of course I displayed my powers, then clarified for them my true identity, the identity of Erzebet Bathory was only for hooking the vampires in, had they been first told of me they'd probably not believe me.

I was called mad when I took on her identity, but then I took her appearance and altered it for the purpose of appealing to the Vampires. I made it...well...taller as you see, made her hair red, most vampires are pale due to absence of sunlight so I took on an unusually pale appearance to make me seem more relatable to them.

I stored samples of my own blood when I was commonly known as Sekhmet among the mortals and at my full strength before my father turned the light against me, and drank them as they have over the years grown with power over time.

When I used my powers, in alliance with my sister, my full powers returned and once again I donned the, not name but TITLE of Sekhmet.

But, as with all vampires who I turned, the bloodthirst is always at its strongest when either freshly turned, or just after having gotten their body back.

I taught Drolta how to use magic to get her body back. Vampires I made are not just beasts, they are beings with the powers of an entity of my calibre and so can make themselves new bodies after their previous ones have been killed."

Sekhmet closed her hand.

"That's why you are now bound, the thirst is uncontrollable."

She, and all creatures, not just vampires, made with my blood have the power to regain their bodies after death.
