Pregnancy Issues

Summary:

Jake’s pregnancy makes everything a little more: more tears, more sensitive, more needing. Jay’s there for all of it—And more.

Work Text:

It was around afternoon. The sun bathed the city with a golden crisp. The soft hum of the cars and the birds chirping in the power lines filled the area with their familiar sounds. Jay was strolling on the sidewalk, carrying a paper bag with the groceries.

His boots cracked under the autumn leaves that wouldn’t stop falling in a golden rain. Occasionally, some of them landed on his hair and stuck there comically. He would use his hand to gently scoop them off his head, like handling a delicate thing. A white scarf protected him from the cold, which had reached his cheeks already, making them slightly pink.

His eyes landed on a colorful flower stand. An old man was selling some to a young girl. It was so full of bloom and life—it really stood out, especially because of the season. He wondered how they managed to have such beautiful posies all year. He arrived just as the girl was leaving.

“Good afternoon, sir. Which ones would you recommend for a person you love a lot?” he asked politely with a smile.

“Afternoon, boy. For a person you love a lot, huh?” He chuckled softly—probably used to helping young lover boys. “Well, roses are a bit old-fashioned these days, aren’t they?”

Jay nodded. “Yeah, he doesn’t quite… prefer them.”

“Figured. Well, you seem to know him a lot, maybe you can tell me more about him.” The old man gave him a warm smile.

“Well… He is complicated. He likes sweet scents, but… not too sweet, not too invasive—he says something about old ladies’ colognes.” Jay shrugged, apologetic for not being an easy customer. “He definitely likes fruity—like… when it smells like spring. He likes… some colors, but loves white the most.”

“Alright, I can work with that.”

The florist picked up some pink tulips from between the daisies and lavenders, and some white freesias from the top corner next to the lilies. In a matter of seconds, the bouquet was perfectly arranged. Jay took it gently and gave the man a couple of bills from his pocket. He kept walking now; home wasn’t far away from here.

The freesia scent was sweet and fruity on his nose, dazing him in the softest way. He rummaged in the pocket of his coat until he found the keys and stepped in. He felt relieved to find out the house was warmer than outside. He placed the things on a table near the entrance, hung the key, his scarf, and coat, revealing a plain buttoned-up shirt under it.

He scooped the bouquet back into his arms and started walking. As he went closer to the bedroom, muffled sobs reached his ears. He sighed—not in annoyance, but in quiet knowing. He left the groceries on the kitchen island and headed directly to the room with the flowers. He pushed the door gently, trying not to be invasive.

“…Baby?”

He called. The room was a mess. His shirts, hoodies, and scarves were all over the floor. In the bed, a bundled form was curled up—his omega, Jake. The boy had made such a messy nest—blankets draped across the bed, Jay’s scarf around him, and all sorts of Jay’s clothes around him. Jake was clinging to one of Jay’s hoodies, sobbing there, trying to feel every last part of his alpha’s scent. Jay lowered his hand to touch his shoulder.

“Don’t touch me…”

Jake whimpered, weak and vulnerable. Pregnancy had made him very sensitive, and the hormonal imbalances were driving him crazy. Jay sat on the edge of the bed, respecting his space, trying not to touch his nest.

“Baby… I’m here for you…” he tried to soothe Jake by softening his voice.

“You left me… I hate you…” Jake sassed back, pouty and low.

“I… had to do the groceries, darling… I’m sorry,” he explained with patience. Because his precious omega was carrying his pup, he would endure all his mood shifts happily if that meant making his pregnancy a little lighter for him.

“You took forever… I… I hate being without you… when I’m like this…” There was less sass now. More vulnerability. “Wh-what even is that stupid scent? Jay, I swear, if you saw some other omega, I—“

Jay smiled, cupping Jake’s face to stop the nonsense and show him the bouquet. Jake’s anger melted into a soft pout.

“Oh…” he looked down, ashamed. “I… I don’t know what to… say,” he shrugged. God, Jake was the worst at receiving gifts and compliments. But, in Jay’s eyes, that was just the cutest thing ever.

The omega sat up a bit, and his little hand extended to touch the delicate petals. He grabbed it and tucked it against his chest, and pouted deeper, little tears wetting his dewy cheeks again. Jay cupped his face with a chuckle.

“Why are you crying, baby?”

“B-because…you’re always… so nice… a-and I… I’m always so mean to you and…”

A soft kiss stopped him from babbling further. Jake closed his eyes and literally melted there, his small body boneless inside his alpha’s arms, the bouquet resting between their tummies. He returned the kiss with soft care, his fingers around the flowers loosening. Jay’s scent always seemed to lull him—to ground him every time he started spiraling.

When the kiss broke, Jay set the bouquet aside to scoop Jake onto his lap, protective arms around him. Jake’s head rested softly on his shoulder, tears no longer falling down his cheeks. He still had the scarf adorably wrapped around his frame, earning a chuckle from Jay, who started gently peeling it off.

“Hmpt. What’s wrong with my scarf, Jay?”

There it was. The little gremlin was back to fight with his boyfriend and be cutely annoying again.

“Well, first of all… it’s my scarf,” Jay chuckled, amused.

“It’s in my nest. So it’s mine,” Jake sassed back.

“What? No, I bought it for me! You have plenty of scarves in your closet!”

“Uh-uh.” The omega shook his head, pulling his boyfriend’s cheek. “You’re in my nest too. So you’re mine too. So all your things are mine too.”

“Now you’re being greedy—and, you were a sad puddle crying here, like, two minutes ago!”

“Yeah. Because you left. It’s totally your fault…” he hit back, mischievous and final. Jay sighed. Apparently, today wouldn’t be the day he won an argument.

“…I missed you too, y’know,” Jay suddenly confessed. “It’s not like I like being outside doing the groceries instead of here hugging you.”

Jake buried his blushing face in his boyfriend’s chest. “You’re so disgusting…” he murmured, muffled, but there was no bite behind it. Just a quiet way of telling Jay he was being too sweet—and that he was too stiff to match the syrupy energy.

“Alright, I’m sorry, baby… Uhh… How was your day?” He tried to shift the mood so as not to overwhelm Jake.

“Miserable”—alright, that had crushed the lovebirds with a massive rock. All sweetness gone.

“That so? What happened, baby?” Jay chuckled, already used to his boyfriend’s awkward responses.

Jake took a hand to his chest and squeezed it gently. “Too sensitive here… They feel full…” he pouted, looking down at his chest like it had personally offended him.

“I see… Well, let me help you, baby, I’ll have a look.”

Jake nodded and raised his arms, like a sleepy kid waiting to be changed. Jay peeled off his shirt to reveal his lean torso. It was true, Jake’s chest was plumper, fuller. His nipples were a bit swollen—Jake had even made a little whimper when the fabric grazed them. There was a weird glisten in them, like they were slightly damp.

“Can I?”

Jay asked gently, and as soon as Jake nodded, he took his index finger to rub his reddened nipple with the utmost care.

“N-nghh… Feels… a lot,” Jake whimpered low at the stimulation.

It didn’t feel bad. It actually felt good, but it was too intense; he felt too much with too little contact. Jay placed him on the bed, lying on his back on the pillow, and laid himself on his stomach, his cheek held by his hand. He took his fingers to Jake’s mouth to wet them—and Jake responsively sucked the tip of two of them, dragging his tongue between them.

Once they were wet, Jay made circles around one of the pink nubs, flicking them from time to time to build gradual pressure.

“Mmnh… Feels good…” Jake hummed softly, parting his plump lips slightly.

“Huh? There’s something coming out…” Jay observed, pressing two fingers around the nipple, the tender skin sinking there to let a soft, barely-there white string drip a little.

“Ahn… It’s weird…” He didn’t mean the liquid. He meant the sensation. It was tingly and ticklish at the same time, hard to describe.

Jay took his mouth to the leaky nipple, sealing his lips around it. He sucked in his cheeks, and Jake instantly arched his back, moaning.

“Fuck… Right there…”

Jay nodded and started swirling his tongue on it; soft slurps filled the room, warm sunset light entering through the window to hug their frames warmly. Jake’s fingers clung to Jay’s hair, curling with the soft strands to pull him closer to his chest.

“M-more… I need more…” Jake moaned, and Jay knew he was ready to go further.

He started sucking harder, playing with gentle bites too. His hand went to toy with the other nipple, alternating between flicking and gently pinching, a delicious combination of pain and pleasure. Jay’s tongue was met with a slightly sweet taste, different from everything he had tasted before. He lifted his head for a moment, stopping the stimulation.

“Why did you stop?” Jake asked, breathy, face already flushed to the ears, chest going up and down with utter arousal. His eyes had that lusty gloss on them, shining faintly and teary—not to mention the hot pressure forming between his thighs.

Jay flicked his finger over Jake’s nipple, milk sputtering freely now that it had proper stimulation. “There’s milk coming out of you,” Jay said, a flicker of fascination making his eyes shine a little. Jake opened his eyes in confusion and shame.

“Wh-what? But… it’s just the first month…”

Jay flicked the nipple again, to make more of that sweet milk come out in messy strings. “Well, baby… your hormones are crazy, I guess it can happen.”

Jake blinked, his cheeks coloring a darker shade of pink. Jay was so damn natural about this. Like it wasn’t disgusting having milk coming out of him. Like it was something even… beautiful? He opened his mouth to ask, cautious, stripped of his usual smugness.

“…You don’t think it’s gross?”

Jay looked at him, confused. His heart broke a little with the rawness of Jake’s expression, the genuine honesty of his question. “Gross? No, baby, not even close.” He placed a palm flat on his Jake’s chest. “You are… amazing. This is amazing, baby, you’re… you’re creating life… your body is preparing for our little bean.”

Jake melted completely now. He felt completely relieved; the fullness of his chest was not a problem… it was even something good. He practically beamed, glossy eyes curving as his cute cheeks pushed them closed from his smile. Jay went back to work on his boyfriend’s chest.

Every slurp, every flick and swirl of his tongue and fingers rewarded him with the most delicious moans, Jake’s hands never leaving Jay’s hair. Jake tilted his face tilted his head back, letting the waves of pleasure flow freely through his body. Saliva and milk mixed sweetly in Jay’s mouth, who sucked hungrier now, thirsty for every drop of his omega. His beautiful, adorable, amazing omega.

When Jake’s legs wrapped around his hips, bucking to make their bodies rub against each other greedily, Jay knew Jake needed more. Way more than just his tongue. Their crotches grazed up and down, their paces growing needier, more instinctual and primal.

Jake sat up to kneel on the bed and started unbuttoning his Jay’s shirt with need—for his body, for his skin, for his scent. Jay did the same with Jake’s soft shorts, peeling them off along with his underwear. Jake was peeling the unbuttoned shirt off when a finger found his wet entrance.

“Fuck… baby… you’re dripping just from… touching… your nipples,” Jay whispered, feeling the thick slick on his fingers.

Jake slammed a kiss against his Jay’s lips, face all flushed and hot. His hands found his lover’s neck and clung to it, licking and sucking his mouth in all the right ways. He freed Jay’s cock when the kiss broke, and began to slide the tip along his sloppy entrance in mischievous teasing.

“Baby… Don’t tease me… like that… please, I need to be inside you…” Jay groaned, feeling the omega’s skillful heat of Jake’s hand wrapping around his length and starting to pump it up and down. The wet sound of his small hand jerking him off matched the pace of their agitated breaths.

Jake tilted his head, exposing his pale throat—and Jay couldn’t resist wanting a taste. Jake grabbed both of their dicks now to rub them together in the most delicious friction. Jay’s mouth found his Jake’s neck to suck there, needy, licking after each hickey. He Jake started bouncing slightly on his knees, a little on his legs, giving Jay the most insane pleasure, making him groan breathily between kisses, already drunk on his omega’s sweet scent.

“Fuck… Please, baby… You’re driving me crazy…” his hands Jay groaned, his hands moving to Jake’s waist cheeks, to hold him firmly. “Let me in, baby…”

And how could he Jake say no to those puppy eyes? He aligned himself Jay’s cock with his entrance and sank onto it, being so wet and already loose from last night that it didn’t need much stretching for it not to hurt. Jay let his omega ride him, big hands wrapping around Jake’s slim waist body to hold him close.

“Ahh… Fuck… Yes, there…”

Jake mewled when his boyfriend lowered his head to suck his sensitive nipples again, white threads coming out of them dripping with each flick and slurp. His riding became less controlled, more messy, rolling his hips as he got drunk on his alpha’s scent, cheeks burning red and head dizzy with the overwhelming jolts of pleasure slamming every inch of his body.

“So tight… God, baby… You’re too good…” Jay whispered around his teeth Jake’s lips, feeling his cock throbbing with every clench and bounce of Jake’s body.

His hands wrapped around Jake’s waist to shift the boy to lie on his back now, taking control himself, rocking his hips to hit his omega’s sweet spot with adoring precision.

“Fuck—fuck—yes—yes… Right there…” Jake moaned with quickened breaths, a hot sensation in his tummy making him feel close to orgasm, his insides completely molded to and melted by the shape of Jay’s length.

“I’m close, baby, hold on for me…” Jay groaned, quickening his pace, his hips clapping against Jake’s ass, hitting his prostate again and again. Having such a sensitive and responsive trembling body under him drove him crazier than sex itself. Having Jake just for himself was a blessing he thanked God for every day.

Jay finally came inside Jake, who came all over his belly. They kissed softly now, with fewer bites and more caresses, fusing their bodies in a tender hug. Jay held Jake’s body so protectively, like his omega was the most precious thing in his life—and, to be fair, he was.

Jay pulled out of Jake and stretched to grab some paper towels from the nightstand. He gently started wiping off Jake’s body, who chuckled softly, feeling utterly pampered and loved. Jake scooped the flowers back into his arms and gave them a deep sniff.

“I never thanked you for the flowers… Thanks, babe, you’re the best.”

Jay smiled warmly, finishing wiping him clean. “You don’t have to… I know you’re not good with the ‘thank yous,’ but for me, seeing your face light up for a second… it just means the world to me.”

Jake rolled his eyes with a shy smile—how could he say those things so damn naturally? But it was fine, because Jay never pressed him to say it back. Because Jay understood every ‘fuck you’ that meant a ‘thank you’ and every ‘dumbass’ that meant ‘me too.’ He felt completely understood. So in his arms, pregnancy didn’t seem that scary. He felt braver, stronger, beautiful, and loved.

Jay finished and tucked him against his chest, Jake’s head resting in the crook of Jay’s neck. The omega melted when the soft forehead kisses landed warmly on him, each one pure and adoring—his boyfriend was like a huge lovesick puppy. And he loved it.

“Mmnhh…” Jake stirred softly in Jay’s arms, sleepy. “What time is it?”

The sunlight had faded now, and the sky had shifted to a darkish blue, a faint light still entering through the window. Jay stroked Jake’s hair softly and checked his clock, chin resting on top of Jake’s head.

“About… half past seven… Have anything to do?”

Jake shook his head, completely lulled by being this close to his alpha. “Just… thinking about dinner,” he explained softly, but had no intention of leaving the bed anytime soon.

“Bought everything for a nice cheese fondue. Maybe we shower and watch the series with it?”

And Jake just smiled against his chest. Because he had never felt more loved.
