Dear Y/N,
I remember the first time I cheated on you. I was drunk off power, tired, stretched thin from carrying the weight of every student, every curse, every grave. You asked me to come home early that night. I didn’t.
And the worst part?
It didn’t even mean anything.
Not the first time. Not the second.
But it meant everything to you.
And I didn’t even have the guts to come clean. You found out on your own. You always do.
I’ll never forget the sound you made when you realized.
It wasn’t screaming.
It was silence.
I’d rather you had hit me.
I’d rather you’d called me every filthy name under the sun.
But you just looked at me like I was a stranger.
Like the man who held you through childbirth, who kissed your wrist when you cried at 3AM, who whispered that nothing in the world—not Tokyo, not Jujutsu High, not the whole goddamn balance of cursed energy—meant more to him than your sleepy smile…
...was never real.
I swear to you, it was.
It still is.
You left with the kids two weeks later. You said you didn’t want them to grow up thinking love looked like this.
You were right.
You were always right.
And now I live in the aftermath.
White walls. Empty kitchen. Quiet apartment except for the laughter that sometimes echoes through the hall when they visit.
But when they’re gone?
All I have left is the ghost of you.
And me.
The man who ruined everything he ever loved.
But I’ll get you back one day. Someday soon, I hope. Just sleep well tonight, sweetheart.
