Chapter Text

"Monique!"

The young dark red-haired female flew up in her seat. Had she slept in to long? 'Gosh this place is a nightmare.' She thought to herself. The female threw on her clothes and stumbled out the room with her hat slightly on the side, after being in such a rush. Shortly she was met with an upset Captain.

"Y-yes father?"She stuttered out nervously.

He wasn't her father they were planning that she was supposed to marry his son, Levi. She didn't know why they were waiting for her so long though. She had just turned 15 years old when they abducted her from her home village. Maybe they were waiting until she was going to turn 18. So far all her attempts of running away had failed it only ended up with them beating her up for it. She was trapped on a ship at the sea. She hated it that was never a part of her plan though. But a question that was making her go crazy was why the hell did her own bloody father come to save her?

Had her mother's passing truly caused him to hate her this much? Her father had always loved her and done nothing but made her feel loved. Until that day when he abandoned her without a word at Foosha Village. She was glad that the boys cared for her and that Dadan and her gang of bandits had taken her in.

Ofcourse all went to hell just because that fight she had with Luffy about who had the strongest devil fruit. Ofcourse they didn't stop to think that the wrong kind of people had been watching. Suddenly she was kidnapped and here she was in a living nightmare.

"Why the hell are you still sleeping? Are you planning to sleep all day woman?!"

The male exclaimed angrily.

"I-i'm sorry sir."

She stuttered out scared that he might end up beating her again.

"Do something useful."

He growled and shoved a bucket and a mop into her chest. She winced a bit but quickly ran off to do just what she was told. She knew what he might do if she didn't do as told or do it the right way. It didn't take her long before she started to clean the floor. If it wasn't for Levi she would've actually gotten some sleep. She was almost 18 now and he was already starting to get into her pants so to say. Even if his father didn't allow it yet. A no didn't exactly stop him.

The female sighed heavily as she mopped the floor. Ace. Luffy. How she missed her boys those who could actually make her smile and laugh without trying. As her mind drifted onto other things it was as if fate spoke to her when she appeared next to a newspaper laying on the floor 'Fire-Fist Ace. New Commander of the Whitebeard pirates.' the line said and that made her smile widely. Ace sure had gotten far since she last saw him. The blue eyes perked up and looked up behind her shoulder hearing footsteps and people talking coming closer to her. Returning to what she was doing she pretended as if she was minding her own business. The laugher of the pirates soon disappeared and finally she could relax. Nobody on this ship made her comfortable.

The day went on slowly just like usually  but soon enough the night came.

"Hey babe."

She heard a familiar voice before a pair of arms wrapped around her as she felt a kiss on her cheek. It might seem like a gentle gesture but to her it was a burning sting making her sick to her stomach.

"Time to go to bed. Maybe we can continued what we started last night."

She heard Levi's voice in her ear before he kissed her.

"Sure let me just finish this and I will put the things away."

She told him and thankfully he seemed to agree for it. When she finally was done and found herself standing on the middle of the ship with not a single soul on deck she got an idea. It was dumb and would probably get her killed but since when did that stop her? No one seemed to be around and most of them seemed to have been falling asleep if they weren't doing anything else. Without thinking about it to much she hurried over to the row-boat and quickly prepared to leave as quietly as she possibly could. Soon enough she saw the ship she had been living in a hell on, in the distance. Finally she was free. That night she fell asleep in the boat with a blanket wrapped around her.
