He didn't know when he first actually noticed it, the first time the ticking of a clock that wasn't his own. Not that it mattered anyways, it was more of a panic now when he heard it start its warning noise.
It wasn't too major, just a simple smiley face clock that ticked from 1-9. It showed a number to remember, and he just had to... stop whenever the number came up. If he didn't? It just hurt a lot... and for a few dangerous moments his entire body just shutdown.
He flinched at the last minute when Don Quixote dropped her lance suddenly, just as the thing shut the clock and STAIRED into him. Its X eyes almost mocking as it suddenly and rapidly duplicated across his vision. Pain swelling through him as everything flashed blue and the same message flooded his mind

He didn't feel him hitting the floor, nor did he recognize the sudden panicked shouts as he had a few moments of pure blackness, trying to pull himself back to reality. Nothing but distorted and broken memories flooding his mind as if the entirety of his life that he no longer knew was shoved back in but without any ability to understand.
