Chapter Text
In the aftermath of a young life friends now numbered four hold grief and strife in their very cores. They don’t blame each other only themselves, beckoning both great motivation and great sorrow in which they delve. A young girl gives up her umbrella for two of her friends. They are brothers to the very end. After the brother’s train stop she is all alone and so is her other friend who’s butler drove him home. She holds her backpack and refuses to look at the cloudy stormy sky. She figures that both of them are trying their damn best not to cry. When she gets to her stop she exits like everyone else still without a single tear drop. She walks slowly despite being caught in the rain. Then as she nears her street her speed gains. Her signature lavender washes away as she runs full throttle. Tears still beginning to form are masked by the wet, she needs help, and she wants to hide, to be coddled. Even if she doesn't deserve it. She needs to fill the pit left by the friend who saved the cat that now in her house sits. Most of all she wonders what to do. She wants more than anything to help the friend who was right there when the tragedy happened without warning or a clue. The orange tabby and her parents meet her at the door. And finally, she can’t hold her tears and questions in anymore.
