Chapter Text
The sun shone through the window, it was rather irritating. The alarm on the phone began to ring over and over with a cheerful melody. Sora rolled over, pulling the pillow over her head to block it out. Once it got to be too much, she grabbed the phone, silencing it before throwing it back down. Just before she could get comfortable again, her cat, Cloud, had jumped onto the bed and began tugging on her sleeve to get her up and out of bed.
“Cloud, come on. I wanna sleep!” She groaned, sitting up again.
He flopped over, meowing at her. He simply wanted her attention.
“You’re so spoiled. You know that?” She picked him up, running her hands through the silky black and white fur.
She got out of bed, getting dressed in her pajamas before heading to the kitchen. She grabbed a scoop of cat food, dumping it in Clouds bowl, keeping her nose covered. She wasn’t particularly a fan of the fishy smell.
Cloud came running after her, his feet pitter patter against the cold tile floor.
Once she finished feeding Cloud, she began to make herself something. She settled on some toast and eggs, easy enough. After she had eaten her breakfast, she cleaned up the dishes in the sink, refusing to leave a mess behind. She then headed back to her room, the pink mess that it was.
The walls were a light, bright pink, the ceiling was plain white, and a off white carpet on top of the wooden floor. Her bed was shoved in the corner by the window, the pc set up beside it, and a few shelves full of figures and dolls. Most of her figures were from the Resident Evil series, namely Leon and Wesker,. She had a few Draculaura, C.A. Cupid, ans Rochelle Monster High dolls. She wasn’t a big fan, but they were a gift from one of her friends who knew she loved the color. She had posters on her wall, also Resident Evil, but there was one of a band called Mother Mother, another of a famous pop singer called Sabrina Carpenter.
She sat down at her desk, powering on her pc to check her emails. She had new offers from the local modeling agency for new shoots. She accepted them happily. She always loved modeling, she started officially when she was fourteen, and has been going for three years now. She was one of the most popular models in Her hometown, Mana. She’s done interviews, been in magazines, has even done signings. She hated the crowds of people, but the attention sure was nice.
After she finished checking her emails, she grabbed her pink cat headset and put it on. She booted up her game and started the stream. That’s another thing, she enjoyed gaming. She started just as a hobby, but she began to find herself having fun sharing her gaming with the people online. She mainly played Resident Evil, but Minecraft was her second most streamed, as it was quite relaxing compared to the other.
People began to join immediately, filling up her comments with support and love. She loved every bit of it, but there was something lacking. She still felt lonely, even with all the attention.
Soras been battling depression for most of her life, with losing her mother so early on, and her father not being around often, she had almost no one to rely on. That is, except her uncle. Her uncle, Damian hart, was the one who took her in when her father couldn’t look after her. She stayed with him until she was about twelve, then she made the decision to move back in with her father. Though Damian came over almost daily to check on her.
Sora started her game, playing until about noon. She could play Resident Evil all day if she wanted to, but she had more important things to get done. She turned off her computer, setting her headset down as she leaned back in the chair.
Cloud jumped up, curling up in her lap, purring.
“Thanks cloud.” She giggled, “You know how to make me feel better.” She relaxed for a while, but eventually, her stomach began to grumble. She groaned, “I don’t wanna cook again!”
To which her stomach protested again, grumbling louder.
She moved cloud out of her lap, dragging herself to the kitchen. She looked around for what to make, eventually settling on chicken wings with seasoning. She got to work on cooking the chicken, making sure they were perfect, which they usually were. This was another little hobby she had, she loved to cook. She picked it up from a family friend who owned an own inn, which was unfortunately on the other side of town, so they never saw her often.
Sora dumped the chicken onto a plate and began to stuff her face hungrily, there was no one around to judge her messy eating. Well, except Cloud. She savored every bite of the juicy meat, leaving behind nothing but the bones. She glanced over at the bag, there wasn’t much chicken left.
She got an idea.
She fired up the stove and began to cook the last of them, adding the hot sauce from the fridge, ans sprinkling in a few seasonings. She dumped them into a container, sealing it. She got dressed in her oversized gray sweater, black leggings and a skirt on top, as well as her Mary Janes, before taking off with Cloud following right behind her.
