Chapter Text
Ochacko was returning from her night shift at the convenience store, as her eyes flicked around nervously, per usual the train station was empty, a safety hazard from a mile away but something she chose to shoulder regardless, the sight of her parents worrying about money always breaking her heart. Her parents on their part did not approve of this decision, due to her both being underage and it being unsafe but she had insisted and they had reluctantly agreed, due to their financial situation becoming dire and due to how somehow despite her age she managed to find work. They hadn't asked her how, knowing they'd hate the answer and she hadn't wanted to tell them so none of them had mentioned it ever again. So here she was boarding the train to go home which per usual was empty which was both a comforting and terrifying situation. Comforting because no one was around to hurt her, terrifying because if someone entered she would be left to fend for herself.
Regardless, she shook off her terrifying thoughts and took a seat. She looked out the window when she felt a presence and looked up to see a boy slumped against the seat opposite hers, severely injured. Her heart leapt to her throat as she studied him longer. His suit was torn up and his breath was shallow, he wore a mask, the only piece of clothing that seemed undamaged. She fumbled for her phone in her bag with the intention of calling an ambulance when suddenly the boy seemed to become aware of her presence and moved, snatching the phone from her despite his exhaustion and injuries.
“What are you doing?! You're injured” Ochacko said worried as the boy shook his head desperately.
“You can't call anyone! I won't let you” he insisted and despite his pain kept the phone out of her reach.
“But you'll die in this state!” She said frustrated, “I can't let you di-”
He suddenly cut her off and seemed to change his mind since he returned her phone. Relieved she was about to call the ambulance when she suddenly noticed that he was about to leave which caused her to panic. He would not accept help and if she let him go he could end up worse so she suddenly made a stupid decision.
“Wait!” She called out, “I won't call an ambulance okay! J- just let me help you. Please” she begged.
The boy paused and so she continued, “I- I can treat you at the next train station. There is a first aid box there. It won't be much but I can make sure it's easier to move. Just let me help you, please”
The boy finally agreed as he turned back to Ochacko and practically collapsed into her arms, drained. She held him close as she bit her lip, hoping that her treatment would be enough.
