The quiet was almost too quiet, bringing the silent dread with it. Kaj knew that he had to try and coax Steve out - to get him to see the sense in coming out of his little hidey-hole. He almost didn't want to disturb him. Not really, but at the same time he did. Because he knew it was only a matter of time before he left.
Before he slipped back out into the woods, and they'd be lucky if they actually saw him again and that was dangerous. He couldn't be having the pups out there once they were actually born - and if he did that, they'd shift into their skin and Steve could be feral by then. Kaj slipped inside the cabin, it was quiet, no sound of anyone even being inside. Billy was waiting outside, Kaj said softly "I'll call you inside when I have him comfortable."
Billy just nodded, they'd told everyone else to keep their distance. Steve had already stayed well clear of everyone, he'd been okay at first - but it hadn't lasted. Kaj heard noises from the closet and he debated about just opening it up, but then he had a better idea - he wasn't sure why? But he thought about actually shifting into his fur.
Kaj undressed, and then he shifted into his fur. His claws clacking on the floors as he padded over to the closet. He snuffed softly, and then scratched - and just waited. Slowly but surely, Steve's face peeked out from a small crack - he just blinked at him - "Hi." He whispered, and Kaj whined softly, and then he poked his nose into the crack.
Steve said softly, "Hi you wanna come in?" He rubbed his hands across his face - he was filthy, after a week being in the woods - and he smelt pretty ripe too, but Kaj didn't pay any attention to that. He couldn't really fit into the closet with Steve, there wasn't really enough room. But he got a fair bit of himself in.
Steve had tear tracks down his face and he had made himself a pretty cosy little nest of blankets. He hiccupped and said softly, "You came and saw me in the woods, I remember." Kaj hadn't been to see him in the woods. He wished that he'd found him. Steve stroked his fingers into Kaj's fur and he said softly, "I think I was dreaming bad things and you kept me company." His voice was so soft, almost inaudible.
Kaj licked Steve's face, and Steve whispered "They're going to put me back in that place, you just wait.. they will.. they're gonna say that I'm crazy. Take my pups away.."
Tears welled up in his eyes, and Steve whispered shakily, "I'll kill anyone that tries to take my p-pups from me." Kaj whined softly, and Steve curled his hands around his belly. Kaj shifted into his skin, and Steve let out a gasp, "What the hell!" He exclaimed, pressing himself into the blankets, "No.. no you're a liar... a liar.." He said shakily, and whispered, "I'm confused I'm so tired."
Kaj murmured, "Sweet Baby, nobody is going to take your pups away. I can promise you that." Steve stared at him with big eyes, and he whispered "Are you real?" Kaj said softly, "Of course I'm real.. why wouldn't I be real?" Steve sniffled and then he whispered, 'I don't know what's real and what isn't my head is all messed up." He looked completely exhausted, and Kaj murmured, "Have you been sleeping out in the woods Wolfie?"
Steve shook his head no, and Kaj murmured, "Do you wanna come home? Come and be safe and warm with me, and with Billy?" Steve peeked around the side of the cupboard, "Is.. B-Billy here?" He asked softly, and Kaj murmured, "Do you want him to be here?" Steve looked at Kaj, and then he nodded yes.
"Want me to get him?" Steve nodded yes again, but then he curled his arm through his - "I don't want you to go." He said softly, and Kaj murmured "Want me to carry you out of here sweet Wolfie?" Steve let out a soft little sigh, and then he said quietly - "Kaj?"
"Ja Baby?" Kaj asked softly, he gently stroked his fingers against Steve's face, and Steve whispered - "I don't want them to take my p-pups, or put me in that place.. they.. will put me in there.. say I'm sick." Kaj said softly, "Who will?" Steve bit his fingers, "Them.. they will, they will turn against m-me like before.." He pressed up into Kaj's body and he whispered "I don't wanna go back there, its scary and makes me remember bad stuff.." Kaj just watched Steve quietly, and then he said softly, "How old are you right now Stevie?" Steve looked at him, "You're stupid, I'm twenty-four dumbass.. how old am I.. I'm crazy but I'm not that crazy Kaj.."
Kaj smirked and he said softly, "Just checking.. last time you told me that you were three years old." Steve just stared at him, "I don't wanna go to the nuthouse.. the looney bin.. Dustin and.. well Mischa.. and everyone thought I needed to go to the hospital.. I don't wanna go to the hospital. I'll leave, I'll run away.." Kaj said softly, "Nobody is taking you anywhere.. you hungry sweet Baby?" Steve just stared at Kaj and he said softly, "I.. I'm cold, and.. I you promise me they won't take my pups.." Kaj said softly, "Sweet Baby, your pups are still in your belly - how would they even take them." Steve's bottom lip trembled and he whispered, "Cut them out and steal them."
Kaj frowned, because that was truly terrifying, "Have you been having bad dreams? While your awake?" Steve nodded yes - and Kaj scooted out of the closet, he scooped Steve up into his arms and Steve whimpered softly, "Don't let them take me." Kaj said softly, "Nobody is taking you anywhere, I promise." Steve said shakily, "I want Astar.. he'll keep me safe too please?" Kaj let out a soft growl, and Steve sobbed out, "Please... please Kaj?! Please.." He wrapped a blanket around Steve and he murmured, "Okay, me and Billy will take you to see Astar is that what you want?" Steve whimpered and nodded yes, and Kaj said softly, "Okay.. we will do that."
He got outside, and Steve was peeking at Billy from under the blanket. "Hi Princess.." Billy said softly, and Steve whispered shakily, "Hi Honey Boo.." Kaj let out a soft little rumble, and he murmured, "Stevie wants us.. to take him to see Astar." Billy said softly, "Okay." He didn't even question it, or argue - and Kaj just let out a soft chuckle, he wasn't used to that - if it had been Eddie? He would have asked why, or complained.. or both. Billy just said okay, and that was it. They got into the Camaro, and Steve just snuggled into Kaj, but he was restless and he kept saying - "I don't want them to take my pup's." Billy looked at Kaj, and Kaj said softly, "Nobody is going to take your pups Wolfie."
When they got to Estarlian's house, Kaj carried Steve inside - and Gemini said softly, "Hello little Love, we've missed you the last few days." Steve just nodded, and Gem looked at Billy and Kaj - Sara said softly, "Oh he's filthy.." Billy said softly, "Shit don't worry about that Sassy.."
"Where's Astar?" Kaj asked and Gemini said - "Down in the basement.." Nobody had time to say anything else, before Steve bolted down there - and Billy muttered softly, "Aww shit."
Steve stared at Eddie in the cage, and then at Astar - he breathed out in a rush and Astar said, "Stevie! You're back.. you were hiding out in the woods?" His wolfed-out pale green eyes studying Steve quietly, intensely, and he said "Eddie's been here the entire time, so he couldn't run away."
Eddie was sitting on a bed inside the cage, and he said softly - "Hello New Orleans.." Steve just stared at him, he shifted closer to Astar and then he whispered, "They want to hurt me.." Astar frowned, "Who? Who wants to hurt you, has someone hurt you.. tell me.. I'll make them suffer." Steve eyed Eddie suspiciously, and then he whispered "The people in the woods, they want to cut my pups out and take them."
"Uh.. Astar? I think he might be a little bit.." Eddie said as he made a crazy face and Astar snarled at Eddie, "You shut your mouth, he's not crazy - you leave him alone.. and even if he is.. who made him that way!" Eddie said nothing, and just looked at Steve - "Hey.. Stevie.. are they gonna throw you back in Sunnyside house or whatever its called?" Eddie asked, and Steve just stared at Eddie - he whispered, "He.. hates me."
Eddie just stared at Steve, and Astar and he shook his head - "How long were you out there before you lost your mind Stevie." Steve just stared at Astar, "I'm scared." Astar pulled Steve into his arms, and he said softly, "Don't be scared." Eddie laughed softly, "Got you wrapped around his finger.. don't fall for it - those puppy-eyes, he's not helpless are you Steve? Huh? You're full of shit is what you are.. you probably concocting some devious plan.. little bitch. You weren't lost in the woods.. fucking lies.. You're not fucking crazy either.. he's just stupid enough to fall for your bullshit like they all are.. isn't that right?"
Astar snarled out, "I'll gag you if you don't shut your fucking mouth."
Eddie just smirked, "Oh I'm shaking, I'm terrified.. why don't you leave.. so me and Stevie can talk.." He asked, raising his eyebrow - "Right Stevie, sweetheart? Wanna talk to me alone?" Steve shook his head, "No.. n-no I don't wanna talk to y-you." He looked at Eddie from under his lashes, and Eddie murmured, "Yeah you fucking do.. look at those eyes. Come here Baby, come and talk to me.." Steve shook his head no, and Astar said, "You want me to gag him? I can gag him, should we just go upstairs?"
"I'm trying to tell you he wants to talk to me, leave... go on get you wretched annoying whelp!" Eddie snarled out, then he looked at Steve, "C'mere sweetheart come and tell me about these crazy fuckers in the woods.. I'll go rip them up .. tear them to shreds for you, you want that?" Steve just stared at Eddie, and Astar said softer, "Are there bad people?" Steve nodded yes, and he whispered - "Bad men I had to hide from them." Eddie growled, "Come here Stevie.. Astar.. make yourself useful.. go and tell someone upstairs."
"I'm not leaving him down here with you." Aster growled back, and Eddie just snorted, "I'm his mate, I'm not going to hurt him.. Stevie? Baby love.. Come here?" Steve shook his head and Eddie got up, pressing himself up close to the bars, "Please.. come here?" He held his hand out and Steve gingerly went closer. Eddie said softly, "Look at you.. all wild and feral, what happened?" He breathed out against Steve's face and Steve whimpered, "I stayed in the woods... then the bad men were chasing m-me."
"Are you telling the truth Stevie?" Eddie said softly, and Steve nodded yes - he curled his hands around the bars, and Eddie murmured, "You're telling the truth about bad men chasing you and threatening you.. to cut your pups out of your belly?" Steve whispered, "Y-yes Eddie, I had to stay hidden.. then I.. was so hungry so I.. had to catch a rabbit, and I thought that Sammy was stealing m-my food.. didn't know it was Sammy so I attacked h-him.. but it was him." He was so exhausted he was half falling asleep resting against the cage. Eddie snarled at Astar, "Open this fucking door and let me the fuck out."
Astar sighed and then unlocked the cage, and Eddie cracked his knuckles - he knelt down, and then he said softly, "Are Kaj and Billy here with you?" Astar said, "Of course they're here with him.." Steve just nodded, and Eddie said quietly - "Do you want to go home with them? Or do you want to stay here with Astar."
Steve was so weak he could barely even answer, he just curled his hand around the bar and Eddie said softly, "You want me to stay with you?" Steve whispered, "You don't even give a shit about me, just fuck off and leave me alone Eddie." Eddie frowned and he said, "That isn't true.. I didn't mean what I said.. I just.. was trying to push you to be with Kaj and Billy and not me." Steve just said nothing, and he whispered weakly, "You think I'm crazy, you always think that I'm crazy. Leave me alone Eddie."
Eddie looked at Astar - "We need to scour the woods, and find these mother fuckers." He growled it and Astar nodded, "Hunt them down." Eddie nodded, he knelt down and he said softly, "Stevie.. were they Uratha, or were they Human?" Steve whispered, "I think they were Pale ones.. they said about shifting on a full moon, I heard them when I was hiding.. they had bear traps.. to.. try and trap me.. I think they laid them out in the woods Eddie, it isn't safe out there."
Eddie looked up at Aster, and he murmured - "We need to tell the others, but.. we need to get Stevie upstairs." Astar said with a growl, "I'll do it.." Eddie just looked at Astar, "I don't think so Whelp." He lifted Steve up, and Steve whimpered, "I don't.. w-want you, leave me alone." Eddie growled at Steve - "I don't care...shush." He carried Steve upstairs, Astar following behind them and Billy and Kaj were both in conversation with Gemini, Estarlian and Dustin.
"Did he tell you about the men - the pale ones that were hunting him while he was out there?" Eddie asked and Kaj said - "No? He just said someone wanted to take his pups and put him in the.. looney bin." Billy glared at Eddie, "You're just making shit up.. trying to.." Steve sobbed out, "It's true.. it's true I'm not crazy! I'm not making shit up its why I couldn't get home.. they were after me.." Billy frowned, he looked at Kaj - who said softly, "Why didn't you tell us that before Stevie?"
Eddie said softly, "Because I think he's completely exhausted? He's fighting to stay awake right now.. Bubba. Can you help him get cleaned up, maybe you and Sara?" Dustin nodded, and Sara said softly, "Of course we will." Dustin took Steve from Eddie's arms - and Kaj said quietly, "We.. should just wait till he's had some sleep and can tell us about everything.. properly." Billy was tense, and Eddie shook his head - "No.. no I'm not waiting. If he was stuck out there for a fucking week while some creeps were hunting him and he was in danger? I'm not fucking waiting Kaj.. I'm going out there and I'm tearing them apart.."
Estarlian said quietly, "Eddie.. he could be imagining it - or it could be dangerous.."
"I don't really give a fuck what you think asshole. Your opinion doesn't mean shit to me... Someone has been stalking and hunting down my mate - he's exhausted and terrified and you all just want to sit around and what? Have a cup of fucking tea? Fuck you!" Eddie snarled, and he looked at Astar - "Are you with me warrior prince or what?" Astar nodded, "Yes.. I am with you." Gemini said, "What? Wait a minute you can't just go tearing off into the woods.."
"Yes we can, and we are... you can sit here doing nothing." Eddie snarled out - and he glared at Kaj and Billy - "A whole fucking week you kept me locked up in a cage, because you were worried I was going to leave - now he's back, scared out of his mind - exhausted and telling us that someone has been hunting him .. wanting to kill our pups, and you don't want to do anything.. get out of my fucking way KAJ GET OUT OF THE WAY!" Eddie roared, violet eyes blazing - and Kaj breathed out through his nose, and then stepped aside.
Billy just looked at Kaj, and Kaj stared back at Billy - Estarlian said quietly, "You're both just going to let him go?"
Astar growled out, "I am going with him." The younger man left the room as well and Gemini said "Bloody hell... what if they.." Kaj said - "If there is a threat.. they'll end it, or they'll come back and get us if they need help."
Estarlian said quietly - "What did Stevie say to the two of you." Kaj murmured, "He didn't say a lot - just that he was scared, said someone wanted to take his pups that he wasn't going to let them.. that he didn't want to go back into the hospital... that he wasn't crazy."
"Maybe he was trying to tell us that someone was after him but he wasn't putting it all together." Billy said quietly.
Sara came into the room, and she said softly "Guys.. uh.. Stevie? He's not lying.. he has rope burns around his ankles and his feet - someone did have him.. at some point." Kaj growled out, "WHAT?" Billy breathed out harshly, and he said shakily, "Did.. he say anything?" Sara nodded, tears in her eyes - "He said he managed to get away - but that he hid in his cave again.. he's so weak, Dustin has put him to bed, he's terrified - he's so scared to go to sleep.. I have given him some sleep draught, just a mild one.. he's so exhausted."
Kaj and Billy both headed for the bedroom - and Dustin looked up at the both of them, he said softly - "Look.."
He showed them his arms, and his ankles - and Kaj looked at Billy, "Do we go with Eddie an Astar, or do we stay with Stevie.." Dustin said shakily, "I think you should stay.. I think you should stay because they'll take care of it and if they can't... they will come back for you.. please don't leave him here alone.. he will need you when he wakes up."
Kaj nodded, and Billy said - "The fuck would even do this bullshit??!" He laid down with Steve, and Kaj laid down on the other side - Sara bit her lip, lowering her head - and Dustin said softly, "Sara?" He gently touched her arm, and she lifted her head - her eyes full of tears.
"The.. man.. who.." She breathed out harshly, "The one who attacked me.. raped me he.. ran a trafficking ring.. he wanted to.. breed me.. he was a p-pale one.. he.. m-maybe its what these assholes wanted to do to Stevie.." Tears slid down her face and Dustin said, "Oh.. moon Sara.." She let out a sob, "He.. t-told me that he'd cut it out when the time came.. he s-said the same kind of thing.."
Kaj wrapped his arms around her and he said softly, "You are safe here with us sweet girl, and Stevie is safe.. nobody is going to hurt you." Sara said shakily, "The monsters are out there Kaj.. and the man that raped me.. he's still out there.. the pale ones.. they.. know that Uratha, can have pups.. special pups.. I know it sounds insane but I believe Stevie.. I believe him because.. of what happened to me."
Kaj said softly, "I believe you, and I believe Stevie.. if he told Eddie that.. why would he make it up?"
Billy said softly, "He .. was able to tell Eddie.. with us maybe he was just too frightened." Dustin said softly, "I.. hope Eddie and Astar find them.. these bastards."

Astar breathed in the stench - it smelt like Human, but off - he looked at Eddie, "What is that? Why does it smell ... so wrong?" He rasped - and Eddie said, "Because they are wrong.. they're an abomination.. they shouldn't even exist.." He spat out - and Astar just stared at Eddie, "Pale ones? They actually exist?" He asked - he had never really seen any when he had last been around and of course that had been a long time ago. Just heard rumors... but they were actually real?
"Fucking disgusting abominations.. they are real, scattered .. here and there.. like a plague.. a disgrace to us... to our kind.." Eddie spat out - Astar loved that Eddie believed this, that he thought it - because it was true. They were disgusting, and an abomination - to be so impure? Half Human... and half... whatever they were. He dare not say Uratha. "We should hunt them all down.. every last one and wipe them off the face of the earth." Astar said with venom in his voice.
"I couldn't agree with you more little brother.." Eddie threw the remnants of the camping ground aside - "... They were here but they're long gone, which means that Stevie was telling the truth - which means.. that someone really did hurt him, try... to hurt him.." He breathed in the stench, and Astar snarled out - "We should... keep tracking them... we should tell the others about this though.. do you want me to go back? I can find your trail again... you keep tracking them?"
"Yes... that's a good idea.. but.. I want you to do something for me?" Eddie asked, and Astar stepped in closer - "Anything you ask... Shar, I will always protect..." The younger man said quietly, and Eddie said quietly, "I don't want to cause any panic... they might not believe us.. the others, tell only our family at the house for now.. can you do that?" Astar rasped out, "Yes.. should we tell the younger pack members at the compound? At the Rez? The strong ones.. Not the weak."
Eddie just looked at Astar, "Not yet.. okay? Soon.. but not yet.." Astar's entire body was tense, but he bowed his head "As you wish.." He shifted into his fur - a streak of black darting off at record speed - and Eddie breathed out slowly. He shifted into his fur and then kept to the shadow, he followed the trails - the remnants of the stink - and came across a truck. There was one asshole sitting in the truck - and he shifted back into his skin - and then yanked him out.
"The fuck.. are you a crack head or something buddy? I don't have any drugs on me man." The guy said, laughing at him - Eddie's eyes turned violet and the guy said shakily, "Oh shit.." Eddie snarled out, "Yeah... oh shit.." He bashed him on the head and knocked his ass out, and then waited - the other one turned up a short time later, and Eddie did the same thing to him. Then he lifted them both up - threw them into the truck and drove it back to Estarlian's.
He got them both out and carried them into the house - Astar said - "Holy Shit you found them."
"Help me get them into the basement!" Eddie snarled, and Astar took one of them - they threw them both into the cage and locked them inside. Astar handed Eddie a pair of pants which he pulled on - and Astar said, "... you must have excellent tracking skills." Eddie just looked at the younger man, "I knew where they were I just didn't want you to come with me."
Astar frowned, "Oh... why? I wouldn't have done anything unless you told me too. I'm not an idiot you know." He muttered and Eddie just smirked - "Good to know. We'll interrogate them later.Lets leave them for now.."
The younger man muttered, "Ugh they stink, why do humans stink so much.." Eddie just laughed, "I didn't know they did.." Astar made a face - "They do.. they just smell gross.. and half humans smell even worse.. like they don't know what they're supposed to be."
Eddie smirked, and Astar said darkly - "Can I help you torture them?" He looked at Eddie - all hopeful, and Eddie laughed, "Sure thing Jelly Bean."
"What is Jelly Bean?" Astar said confused, and Eddie just laughed, "I'll get you some.. you'll love them." Astar said, "You'll get me some? What is that though Jelly Bean.."
"You eat them.." Eddie smirked, amused and Astar said - "You are calling me something that you eat? Do you wish to eat me?"
Eddie laughed softly, "Yup.. slurp.. delicious." Astar let out a giggle - and he said, "You are very strange.. and pecurliar Urfarah.. Not sure I want you to eat me.. but whatever you say." He sat down - and then got up again, getting a can of soda - orange soda out of the fridge, he opened it and took a swig - and then offered it to Eddie. He took a swig and then gave it back and Astar said - ".. Do you eat human?"
"Uh no? Why would you ask me that." Eddie said amused, and Astar said - "Because they taste much better than they smell.. I've never eaten half breeds though.. You could feed them to Stevie.. make him strong.. his.. your pup is in his belly too ja?"
"Yes.. my pup is in his belly too." Eddie said softly, amused still and the younger man said - "Three mates and three pups - special. You love him yes?"
"Yes Astar I love him." Eddie murmured, and Kaj and Billy came into the room along with Dustin - "Good.. you might wanna remind him of that." Billy snarked out - and Eddie snarled at him, "Oh shut the fuck up you bitch I'm so sick of your judgy bullshit."
"Stop it.. both of you." Kaj murmured as he sat down - and Eddie watched as Astar got up, and grabbed another soda - opened it and put it in front of Kaj. "Well he gets his own soda but I only get a sip of yours? Rude.." Eddie muttered and Astar looked at him and smirked, "I like Ibrandual.. I don't like you." He said simply and Billy laughed his ass off.
Astar smirked and then he got up again, this time he got out two beers, one for Billy and one for Dustin - he paused and then he also got one for Eddie. "Because you're letting me torture the two halfbreeds."
"You found them?" Kaj said softly, and Eddie nodded yes - Billy said - "He has rope burns on his ankles and wrists.." Eddie looked at Billy - then he looked at Kaj.
"I plan on finding out who those to fucks are working with too..." Eddie opened his beer and took a swig. He said softly, "We're just... lucky.."
Kaj said softly, "He's... lucky, Jesus Christ."
Astar looked at Kaj, "Why do you refer to the Christian Jesus? I don't understand.." He asked and Eddie started laughing, "You fucking crack me up.. seriously."
Billy actually snickered too - and Astar said, "What.. he is Viking.. a Dane - I don't understand - are you a Christian?"
"No I'm not a Christian.. its a term of expression.." Kaj muttered and Astar said - "A term of expression? Is it insulting? HA!" He swigged his soda back, "They liked to hang Christians upside down for a little while - I had a Christian friend.. for a while a Priest.. he was a bastard though.. when I was free for a while.. back in England.. its when I met Gem.."
Eddie said, "...Were you free for long?" He was genuinely curious.
"Yes.. I was free during the lifetime that Stevie and Estarlian were vicious rampaging Barbarians - they were crazy.. Steve was beautiful.. he doesn't probably remember me.. do you know what my name was?" They just stared at him and Astar smirked, "I was a cripple.. well I pretended to be a cripple.. My name was Ivar... Ivar the Boneless."
Dustin said, "Oh bullshit - you were not Ivar the Boneless.." Astar looked at Dustin - "Have you heard of me?"
"Have I heard of.. you are such a liar Astar - there are Saga's written about Ivar the Boneless... he's one of the most famous Vikings.. he had piercing eyes that..." Astar sipped his soda, "That were like mine? Ja.. its because I am Ivar the Boneless.. I don't need to lie about such things.. "
Dustin said, "Holy fucking shit!!!!!!!" Kaj laughed and Eddie snickered softly, "I think Dustin's gonna cum in his pants."
Astar looked at Dustin, "Do you want to have the sex? I thought you were Estarlian's mate - is he boring? I can give you the sex if you want.."
Dustin just ran out the room and Astar smirked, "What? Did I say something ?"
Eddie laughed, and Billy said - "You're seriously messed up Kid.."
Astar laughed, "I'm just.. offering, he said he didn't believe me.. I can give him the sex if he wants it.."
"Stop saying that for fucksake.." Eddie said as he laughed and Astar looked at Kaj - "So... you're not a Christian? So why do you keep referring to the Christ?"
Billy snickered, "He's a believer of the All Father like most of us - stop being a shit head."
Astar just shrugged, "... You could have fooled me - you're always saying his name - all of you do it - its Jesus this, and Jesus that.. he would climb down off the cross and kick all of your asses if he was real.. I'm just saying."
"Shut the hell up you little shit." Kaj muttered and Astar smirked - ".. He would be judging you with his judgy face." Eddie laughed and Astar nodded - "It is true.."
Gemini came into the room and Astar said, "Brother - Dustin didn't believe that I am Ivar the Boneless.."

"YOU TELL LIES GEM I DID NOT." Astar scowled, and Billy snickered "The truth comes out." "You shut the hell up you don't know anything.. I would never!!!!!" Astar scowled and Kaj smirked, "Maybe a little bit you fell in love with the Christian?"
"He betrayed me.. bastard.. I didn't love him." Astar scowled and went outside.
"Oh dear.. I have upset him - he'll be in a foul mood the rest of the day." Gemini tutted - "Whatever will we do.." He snickered and sat down - Eddie got up and went outside, sitting with Astar - he lit a smoke - handed it over, and then lit another one - "Don't.. feel bad, if you did fall in love with a Priest.. love is love." He said softly, and Astar scowled - "I.. did no such thing." He muttered, taking a drag on his smoke.
Eddie smirked, "Are you sure?"
"Yes I am sure." Astar huffed out - "I killed him." He flicked his ash, "After he stabbed me with a silver dagger, I have the scar still.." He held up his shirt - and he still had the scar on his back. "He... betrayed me." Astar muttered. "How long have you been sixteen for?" Eddie asked him.
"Fuck you.. I'm a man." Astar said angrily.
"I didn't say that you weren't... I just asked how long you've been sixteen for.." Eddie said quietly.
"A thousand years.. bit longer." Aster shrugged, "I will probably be stuck this way forever we don't age like humans. Have you not noticed?"
"Do you know why that is?" Eddie as quietly, and Astar looked at him - "Our bodies don't age - because we regenerate.. that old woman.. she's old right? But she doesn't look old." Astar said and Eddie asked, "You're talking about Missy?"
Astar nodded, and Eddie said, "She's eighty-six."
"So she isn't old then... we had a woman who was two hundred she looked your age." Astar huffed out and Eddie laugh, "How old do you think I am?"
Astar shrugged, "I have no idea.. Why do you ask me such stupid questions Urfarah..." He muttered, and Eddie smiled, "Because I like your answers."
"You just like to make me annoyed so you can laugh at me, I don't like you.. I only like Stevie." He said simply, and Eddie smiled, "I like you does that count?"
"Maybe it does, let me decide later." Astar said softly, and Eddie said "You should have a nap, you're grumpy.. why don't you go have a nap with Stevie?"
"You wouldn't be upset with that?" The younger man asked, and Eddie smiled, "No of course not."
Astar rubbed his eyes, like a grumpy puppy - "Fine.. I will go." He handed his smoke to Eddie - and then stomped inside. Kaj came out and Eddie gave him Astar's smoke. "You okay Spooky?" Eddie said softly, and Kaj nodded - "Tired but ja. Worried about Wolfie.."
Eddie nodded, "Me too.. but.. he'll be okay." He sat there watching Kaj quietly, and then he leaned in and kissed Kaj softly, "Have fun hanging out with Billy?" He smirked, and saw Kaj's cheeks get pink, Kaj said softly, "Yeah.. uh.. okay." Eddie knew, of course he knew - but he didn't say anything else, he stroked his fingers down Kaj's back and then kissed his temple. "Love you Spooky, m'srry I was gonna take off.."
Kaj whispered, "You're not going to.. right?" Eddie shook his head, "No baby boy, I'm not going too.. I promise." Kaj pulled him into his lap and just curled his arms around him - and Billy stepped outside - he lit a cigarette and sat down where Eddie had been sitting. Not saying anything - Eddie tucked his head in against Kaj's neck and he let his eyes close.
"We have to keep him safe." Billy said softly, and Eddie looked at Billy - "We will." He said quietly, and Billy just nodded - letting his eyes close.
