"Rui, from today onward, I'll be your bully!" Tsukasa declared to the world.
Rui just looked at his 'best friend', face turning sour at the realization. 'Oh. In the end, he's just like the rest.'
"May I ask why?" He felt himself start getting bored, the revelation turning all his emotions in negative ones.
Tsukasa let out a laugh and let himself fall besides Rui, sitting right besides him. "Here, look at this!" He shows his friend the novel he found.
Rui looked at the front with curiosity, what does this have to do with anything...? "'When winter ends'...?" He grabs the novel and flicks through the pages, skimming.
"Yes! The novel tells you the story of a powerful sorcerer, who was rejected by society, and thanks to his main bully, he met his destined maiden, who slowly fell in love. The bully, mad, kept pulling pranks on the protagonist, but he became even stronger and was able to stand for his own!"
Rui hums, closing the book. "So what does this have to do with anything else?" He has an idea, but he wants to hear it from Tsukasa's mouth.
Tsukasa laughs. "I'm so glad you asked!" He opens the novel once again and points at the summary. "The protagonist reminds me of you! Which means, you need someone to bother you, that way, you'll have your happy ending."
So this was it. Rui couldn't help but laugh, he isn't sure how he doubted Tsukasa and his heart of gold.
"How does the villain end?" Even if he's happy Tsukasa wants a happy ending for him, if the other boy isn't there, then he doubts he'll like it to begin with.
Tsukasa starts thinking, trying to remember. "I'm sure... They die at the end!"
That felt like a freeze cold water buck just fell in Rui's head.
"Worry not, my dear friend! As I shall make sure I'll be the best villain ever, you just wait! I'll find the best maiden for you!"
Rui just watches as Tsukasa runs away, not sure how to explain him that he already has someone in his heart.
But the word 'dead' kept replaying in his head. He's not going to allow this. Not now, not ever.
And looking at the part where the villain died... Yes, it was pretty grotesque, Tsukasa seems to really like these things, doesn't he?

Ever since that day, Tsukasa made sure to do... 'Bad things'.
What bad things meant, was that Tsukasa made sure nobody else bullied him.
For example...
"Hey, Kamishiro!"
Rui ignores the person who talked; it wasn't Tsukasa nor Nene, why should he care?
It seems that got into the guy's nerves, because suddenly— "Hey, are you deaf or something?!" The guy crushed his hand with his shoe. "Talk to me when I call you!"
'They're so annoying...' All Rui could think about was how much he missed Tsukasa right now, when is he coming back...?
"Rui!" Someone called for him once again, but this time, it was who he wanted to hear. "Sorry, there was a long row and..." His eyes widened at the display.
The people who were bothering him now looked nervous. "T-Tenma-sama! This isn't what... This dirty commoner was using your spot!" Right, he forgets sometimes that Tsukasa is a prince.
But Tsukasa didn't listen to them. He pushed the guy away from Rui and checked his hand.
"It's not that hurt... Thank God..." 'Not like they were that strong...' But Rui decided to keep quiet and enjoy the moment.
Tsukasa suddenly stood up. "Listen, you five! Five against one is not fair in any sense, besides, Kamishiro Rui is my prey! So don't touch a hair of him, got it?!"
The group looked confused but just left the place. "Thanks so much, Tenma-sama! This won't happen again!" They said as they ran off.
Tsukasa huffed. "Hum! What a cowards!" He pouted. "Ahhh, look at you, your sleeve and hand are all messed up now." He grabbed his hand and started patching him up.
He wanted to tell the other that it wasn't necessary but... He may be touch-starved, because he was addicted to Tsukasa's touch.
"But tell me, don't you think that was villain-esque!? Hahahah! I'm improving if you ask me."
'Yes, he didn't understand anything at all.' He couldn't help but smile, Tsukasa was just so... Entertaining to see.
And the next day...
"Tenma-sama, is it true that you protected Kamishiro yesterday?"
"Eh?" Tsukasa was so confused that made Rui chuckle a bit.
"Yes, I heard that you protected him from bullies!"
"N-no, you're wrong! I was bullying him—"
"Tenma-sama is truly so kind, isn't he? Even to the pleb."
"Rui isn't pleb! He's my friend!"
"See?"
"NO, THAT ISN'T WHAT HAPPENED! You tricked me!"
'Hm, it seems that Tsukasa-kun is way too good-hearted for someone to think bad of him.' But seriously, usually royalty would have beheaded the person for talking like that, he's really something unique.
It seems like fun days are coming.
