Chapter Text
I lied down on the floor, alone in Four's head, keeping myself locked in a cage. The light from outside my cage shined through the bars, but I didnt pay it any mind. I faced the wall, heavily dissociated from all the pain I was forced to endure. Everything hurt, everything always hurt, physically, yes, but emotionally as well. I felt safer in the cage, locked away where nobody could see me. Sure, Four kept me company sometimes, and that was nice, but it wasnt like it erased everything that happened, or the visual similarities between her and One. After all, Four and One were siblings, and every time I looked into her eyes, all I saw was that same shade of green that stared into my blue eyes as they hurt me, as they took it all from me. I continued to lie alone in the cage, before hearing a voice, one familiar, and one I hadn't heard in years, which I hoped I'd never have to hear again.
"Hey Three!" One exclaimes, striking fear and exhaustion into me. I stared back at her, fear in my eyes at her green-eyed gaze.
"What do you want..?" I asked softly, scared of what might happen. I knew what happened in 2009 was at least partially my fault, if I had at least talked to them or noticed they were alone or something then none of this would've happened. And whatever happened next would be my fault too.
"Oh, just a little something!" One replied, beginning to approach me. She kneeled down in front of me and made a magic blob out of her magic, and-
Oh no. Oh gods no. Help me. Help me. I don't want this. Help. Help me. Someone save me. Stop. Please, stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. MAKE IT STOP. PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF INFINITY, MAKE IT STOP. MAKE IT-
She finally stopped.
I thought I would feel some form of relief, but all I felt was fear. Tears continued to roll down my face, bruises on my arms and legs from my attempts to get away from her. Everything hurt, physically and emotionally. The body wasn't mine anymore. It was someone else's. No, it was hers. It continued to cry, although I felt numb. It continued to shake, although I no longer felt any fear, nor did I feel cold. I could hear her speaking to it, or maybe to me, but I could hardly make out the words. She then scoffed at its lack of response, before teleporting away. It just sat there, grabbing my blanket and burying itself in it. It took a few minutes, or maybe a few hours, I couldn't tell, but I finally started to feel real again, finally started to feel something again. I still felt scared, but less. I was still shaking, buried in my blankets.
A few hours later, I heard footsteps. I tried to make myself smaller, worried it was One again, but to my relief, it was Four.
"Three? Are you okay?" Four asked worriedly. She had always been concerned about me, ever since what happened. I didn't like it, people shouldn't have to worry about me. I'm supposed to be the helpful one, but I was nothing but useless.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine," I lied, not wanting her to worry about me.
"Three, you're clearly not fine. If you don't wanna talk about it that's fine, but at least let me try to help." Four said, clocking my lie instantly. I didn't respond, just sat there in my cage, completely useless. She opened the door and came in, the door was unlocked so it was quite easy. Couldn't exactly lock it from the inside, after all. She hugged me, and I flinched, but leaned into it, seeking any form of comfort. I thought I would've felt the memory of One's touch, but I guess magic touch doesn't exactly feel the same as physical touch, especially since the physical touch One did exert wasn't where Four was touching me. I started drifting off to sleep, and as I fell asleep, I felt Four pick me up and bring me to my bed on the floor.
