Johnny, Cassie and Kuai Liang were getting ready to walk the red carpet for the premiere of Johnny’s reality show.
The reality show features how all three of them live together in their daily lives, with occasional appearances of their friends, Kuai Liang’s brothers and Cassie’s girlfriend.
The makeup team had finally just left after 3 hours. They all had a little privacy before they had to walk. The recording crew for their show wasn’t there, as Johnny had a bad feeling when we woke up and he didn’t let them start filming.
“I never thought I would actually do this, dad.” She was trying to not bit her nails.
“Are you nervous?” He asked, he doesn’t throw around stupid and sarcastic jokes when his daughter and boyfriend may need a comforting moment.
“Not really, but I think he is.” She pointed out Kuai Liang. Johnny saw him sitting in the recliner swinging his leg and digging his nails into his thighs.
“Hold on Cassie.” He went over to his boyfriend and put his hands on his shoulders.
“What’s wrong, honey?”
“Nothing really, just a little nervous.”
Johnny moved from behind the recliner to in front of him, grabbing his hands. “If you keep doing that you’re going to hurt yourself and your fingers will get sore.”
Kuai Liang carefully took a deep breath. “This outfit is really tight.”
“I know, youll be out of it in a few hours, I promise.”
“I know, I just don’t exactly like the way it’s tight on my thighs and chest.”
“I honestly thought you would’ve been bothered by the fact that you’re wearing a cropped shirt.”
Johnny’s manager came to the door, “You guys are up.”
“I need to use the bathroom first.”
“There’s no time, you can go in a bit, all three of you need to come on.”
Johnny walked out first, grabbing Kuai Liang’s hand to lead him out to the red carpet.
All three of them were being asking questions but Kuai Liang’s bladder was distracting him, he couldn’t pay attention to a single question.
“Mr. Cage, when do you plan on popping the question?”
“I can’t say, then he’ll expect it.” Johnny put his arm around Kuai Liang’s waist, rubbing his thumb against his thigh.
Kuai Liang tried to not move, it would’ve suggested that he and Johnny were having problems that weren’t real.
He tried slowly repositioning himself, he felt pain from every movement he made.
The reporters wanted some pictures of Kuai Liang and Johnny together, Cassie moved to the side, still smiling and waving at the crowd.
“Kuai Liang, do you work, or sit at home collecting Johnny’s paycheck.”
“I got this.” Johnny whispered.
Cassie and Kuai Liang looked worriedly at Johnny.
“To prevent people asking him questions, I personally asked him to stay home. He works remotely, getting his own paycheck. He cleans the house and helps Cassie with her schoolwork.” Johnny confidently said.
It almost sounded like the truth. But it wasn’t. “Please word your questions carefully at him, or they won’t get answered.”
Kuai Liang felt himself dripping a little, he was able to stop it. “How much longer, Johnny.”
“I say, about five minutes.”
Kuai Liang didn’t know if he could wait five minutes.
He was able to wait until the photo session was over, by time it was over he had a barely noticeable dark stain on pants.
“Cassie, grab a table, I’m gonna take Kuai to a bathroom before he’s soaked.”
Cassie went to find an empty table.
“Walk slowly if you have to. I’ll walk slowly with you.”
This kind of problem isn’t rare for Kuai Liang. “I’m going to take you to a doctor tomorrow, you couldn’t wait while Cassie was showering the other day.”
“I know, I know, I just don’t know what’s wrong.”
“You’re okay, I’m just worried that it’s a kidney problem.”
Kuai Liang stopped for a moment. He was leaking more uncontrollably. “I already know that I’m not going to be able to make it.”
Johnny called Cassie, still hoping he could get Kuai Liang to the bathroom in time, “Wait in the car, we’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“Okay.”
“Come on, it’s only a little bit away. I can carry you there.”
“No, I won’t be able to get into your arms this time.”
Kuai Liang grabbed Johnny’s arm, Johnny continued walking until he realized Kaui Laing stopped again.
He looked behind him, Kuai Liang was standing there fully soaked. “Are you done, or is there still more?”
“It’s done now.” Kuai Liang was red in the face and not even looking at Johnny.
Johnny covered him with his jacket. “It’s okay, Kaui. I’m going to take you to a doctor tomorrow so we can see what’s wrong, okay.”
He nodded his head and used Johnnys arm to stand up. Johnny fully tied his jacket around Kaui Liang and lead him out the building from the back door.
They ended up avoiding any reporters.
Johnny opened the passenger door for Kuai Liang and shut it when he sat inside.
“Pizza tonight? I’ll order it while you’re in the shower so it’s warm and as a reward for Cassie’s grades.”Kuai Liang nodded.
Johnny got in the driver side. Before he even thought of buckling his seatbelt he grabbed Kuai Liang’s face and kissed him.
“Eww dad.” Cassie said when she looked up from her phone.
“You kiss your girlfriend, you don’t hear me yelling ‘Ew Cassie.’ Plus he’s exhausted.”
“I know he is,” she said rubbing his shoulder.
Johnny kissed his hand before driving off home. “Still a lovely man to be with.”
