Fate/Res Gestae

Summary:

AU:An irregular subspecies Holy Grail hosted by the Order of the Azure Veil distorts the rules of conventional Grail Warfare in Lyon, France. Summoning catalyzed by authentic ancient Roman coins pulls legendary historical monarchs from across the Mediterranean’s fallen empires into the modern mage conflict, where age-old national grudges between Rome and its conquered civilizations reignite on the battlefield.
The arrogant mage Gabriel Leroy spends vast wealth to summon a top-tier Roman heroic spirit, only to contract the petite female Imperator Augustus, founder of the Roman Empire, who slaughters her abusive Master on the first night post-summoning. Boudica, Cleopatra VII and Zenobia, three queens ruined by Roman conquest alongside a Thracian Berserker, unite under novice mage Marguerite to hunt down the rogue Roman Rider, while mysterious prodigy mage Hermann forges an unexpected new pact with the wounded Augustus mid-pursuit.

A/N:This work draws from real surviving ancient historical records including Boudica’s British rebellion chronicles, the history of Cleopatra’s Ptolemaic Egypt and Zenobia’s Palmyran Empire.

Chapter Text

「First Citizen」 Augustus

Class: Rider

Alignment: Neutral · Balanced

Gender: Female

Height: 151 cm

Weight: 48 kg

Character Background

The adopted daughter of Julius Caesar. Amid the great chaos following Caesar's assassination, she plunged into politics at the tender age of 19. On the surface, she was the "First Citizen" who followed republican traditions, but in reality, she was the first emperor who ended the five-century-old republic and inaugurated the Roman Empire in 27 BC, historically known as Augustus.

Character Appearance

Blonde hair, blue eyes, with a face resembling a sculpture. Petite in stature, often mistaken for frail, yet her bearing carries an undeniable authority, and her gaze is exceedingly sharp. She often wears modern military uniforms.

Personality & Habits

A refined, courteous loli-baba. Her phrasing is exceedingly polite, using honorifics for everyone, and she never readily shows anger—even maintaining a smile when facing the crudest of enemies.

She is supremely confident to the point of arrogance, but her arrogance is not displayed in an ostentatious manner—she simply states what she believes to be facts calmly. Is that not a form of showing off in itself?

Her cunning is not that of petty tricks but a systematic cunning. She doesn't play schemes on insignificant occasions, but at crucial moments, she is arguably more terrifying than a fox. If her acting ability were applied to being a film actress, she would undoubtedly gain countless fans and accolades.

To her enemies, she can be cruel to a shocking degree. After the Battle of Perusia, she responded to the pleas of three hundred captured senators and equites with a single phrase: "You must all die." However, towards true friends and loyal subordinates—such as Agrippa and Maecenas—she displays an almost girlish, unguarded trust.

It should be said that if one becomes her friend, one can see her more humane side. Possesses many peculiar metaphors and biting sarcasm. Likes cute young boys (shota), hand-to-hand boxing matches, and the armaments of heroes—a bit of a child at heart.

Speech Style

"Ah, you say I am a supreme being? I shall thank you for that."

"My people, my empire—everything I am is Rome."

"Are you as slow as boiling honey tea? Can you hurry up a bit?"

"I am no emperor, but rather the First Citizen, you see."

"Yare yare, I said everything ends here."

"I said, let's put this matter off until the Greek Kalends; I don't want to talk about it now, cannot talk about it, and furthermore, it is impossible for me to discuss it with you."

Character Abilities

Her weapon is the Whip of Thunder, whose lashing can even stun Phantasmal Species.

Additionally, she possesses the almighty Imperial Privilege and multiple Noble Phantasms.

【Parameters】

Strength: C

Endurance: A

Agility: B

Mana: D

Luck: EX

Noble Phantasm: EX

【Class Skills】

Magic Resistance: D

Cancels Single-Action spells. Equivalent to a protective amulet that wards off magic.

Riding: A+

The ability to ride. Capable of managing beasts up to the rank of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast, but not applicable to Dragon Kind.

【Personal Skills】

Imperial Privilege: EX

Skills that are essentially impossible to possess can be acquired in a short period of time.

At Rank A or higher, physical burdens (such as Divinity) can also be acquired.

The title "Augustus" evolved into the word "Emperor," as did the surname "Caesar" and the title "Imperator." She is the very archetype of the Roman Emperor—a King of Kings.

Charisma of the First Citizen: A

The unique charm of Augustus, known as the "First Citizen (Princeps Civitatis)."

Through her extremely astute governance, she naturally reigned over the Mediterranean world for over forty years.

In the Res Gestae Divi Augusti, she declared, "My authority exceeded that of all men, but my power was no greater than that of any of my colleagues." Of course, this was a lie.

Instinct of the Divine Ruler: A

Essentially identical in effect to Instinct, only the name has changed.

The ability to instantly determine "the most optimal action for oneself" in battle, even reaching the realm of "predicting the future." Can predict trajectories through light, shadow, and intuition to evade gunfire and projectile attacks. Penalties to sight and hearing are halved.

In life, she escaped danger multiple times on battlefields and during assassinations through intuition, even accurately predicting that forty young men would carry her out of the palace after her death. The Romans regarded her intuition as divine will.

【Noble Phantasms】

『Three-Fold Triumphal Heavenly Wheel』

Rank: B++

Type: Anti-Army

Range: 3~60

Maximum Targets: 600 people

Tres Triumphos Feci

The chariot Augustus rode during the three triumphs she held in her lifetime.

Grand triumphal ceremonies were held over three consecutive days in Rome, celebrating the victories in the Illyrian War, the Battle of Actium, and the conquest of Egypt. The triumphal chariot drawn by four white horses symbolizes supreme glory and divinity. It was through these three brilliant victories that Augustus conquered the Mediterranean world and established the great Roman Empire.

Even when merely soaring over the battlefield, this Noble Phantasm possesses Anti-Army class power. Upon True Name release, as seen in her father Octavius's dream, it manifests the sublime form of a Heavenly Chariot drawn by twelve white horses, akin to a storm of lightning sweeping across the world.

『Draw The Bow, God of Victory』

Rank: C+

Type: Anti-Country

Range: 1~90

Maximum Targets: 800 people

Actius Apollo

Destroys the enemy's morale and will through intense sunlight.

A Noble Phantasm sublimated from the legends that "Augustus is the son of Apollo" and that "Apollo appeared at the Battle of Actium to intimidate Rome's enemies." Numerous epics have sung of the "Actian Apollo," which is the origin of this Noble Phantasm's true name. Upon True Name release, it generates a large-scale mental attack to rout the enemy forces.

『Eternal Peace, Infinite Empire』

Rank: EX

Type: Varies

Range: 1~99

Maximum Targets: 1000 people

Pax Augusta

The ultimate treasure, a Reality Marble that materializes her inner landscape.

Deploys a mental landscape without the need for aria—the Infinite Empire surrounded by rainbows. The Romans often believed that it was precisely Augustus's destiny that brought eternal peace and infinite empire, and this was indeed the case. It is less a Noble Phantasm and more akin to an ability.

Fills her mental landscape with her own destiny, forcing all opponents to undergo Luck checks each time they attack. If the check fails, their aggressiveness is negated—Noble Phantasms fail to release their True Name, magic weaving fails, etc. Naturally, the magical energy consumption for supporting a world independently is staggering.

Spartacus

Class: Berserker

Alignment: Neutral · Balanced

Gender: Male

Height: 221 cm

Weight: 165 kg

Character Background

As the mastermind of the rebellion and its de facto leader, Spartacus fought continuously at the front lines alongside the slaves, fighting to the death even when suppressed by the army. Perhaps for this reason, legend says Spartacus's corpse was torn to shreds, unable to be found anywhere on the battlefield.

He unified a ragtag rebel army and repeatedly defeated the powerful Roman forces, suggesting his popularity and leadership in warfare were extremely excellent. But the greater factor for his being beloved was that he was a hero who "could always reverse a losing battle." For the soldiers of the rebel army, the more hopeless the situation seemed, the more certain the victory ahead became.

Because of his fame as the Hero of Reversal, if summoned in a region with high recognition (like Italy), he might be able to reverse all defeats, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and even obtaining the Holy Grail.

Character Appearance

Muscular build. His entire body is a bluish-white color, and combined with the smile he always wears during battle, he gives both friend and foe a sense of eeriness and fear.

Personality & Habits

Summoned as a Berserker, Spartacus constantly maintains his thinking in a state of "rebellion." Therefore, in a normal subspecies Holy Grail War, he is considered a Servant who "guarantees defeat if summoned," even willing to kill his Master. However, in practice, Spartacus will not actively rebel against his Master. Even though his Mad Enhancement is EX-ranked and normal communication is impossible, he can still judge whether his Master is an "oppressor." Due to the influence of EX Mad Enhancement, his thinking is fixed on "always choosing the most difficult path."

...The problem is that almost all participants in a subspecies Holy Grail War are Magi, and Spartacus will reliably classify them in the category of oppressors. If the Master is someone "accidentally caught up in the Holy Grail War," fighting alongside them until defeat is highly possible. His compatibility with a certain red-haired boy is probably very good. Of course, whether that leads to victory in the Holy Grail War is another matter entirely.

Though unlikely, when summoned as a Saber, it's his every move that requires more caution (in the sense of betrayal)—that is the thorny part of this Spartacus. Thus, being chosen by an innocent child Master might actually present a higher chance of victory.

His operating principle is singular: rebel against oppressors, save the oppressed. As the best choice for this, he will take the path of greater hardship. He does not attack disadvantaged enemies, only those superior to himself. Furthermore, he chooses to endure enemy attacks before counterattacking, bringing about a last-moment reversal in the form of victory. His battered face, whether being hit or not, remains unflinchingly composed and smiling, which is utterly terrifying.

Speech Style

"Destroy the oppressors with my love!"

"Initiating rebellion. Prepare yourselves."

"Hmm...? This is rebellion!"

"Ooh... Is it time for rebellion?"

"Ooh, oppressor! Let me embrace you!"

"Rebellion is my life! Ooh, distant oppressor! I shall crush you thoroughly with my blade!"

Character Abilities

His weapon is a short sword (Gladius), whose slashes can even generate powerful shockwaves.

Additionally, he can easily lift a three-meter-tall golem and crush it with his bare hands—his strength is frighteningly immense. However, his greatest weapon is his tenacious body, and his fighting style involves enduring the opponent's attacks and then counterattacking.

【Parameters】

Strength: A

Endurance: EX

Agility: D

Mana: E

Luck: D

Noble Phantasm: C

【Class Skills】

Mad Enhancement: EX

Parameters are increased, but most reason is lost.

Even under the influence of Mad Enhancement, Spartacus can normally utter phrases like, "Those who are bound are strong, for anger and sorrow accumulate until the moment of liberation."

However, since he is fixated on "always making the most difficult choice," he cannot heed anyone's words. Mutual understanding with him is virtually impossible.

Spartacus is indeed an uncontrollable Berserker.

【Personal Skills】

Glory of the Suffering: B

When treating the Servant Spartacus's body via magical means, the required magical energy consumption is merely one-fourth of normal.

The more severe the damage he receives, the higher his fighting spirit rises, until he unleashes all his stored power. Rather, one could say he cannot get serious unless he is thoroughly beaten.

"Enduring all the pain the enemy can inflict, and then surpassing it, thereby completely overcoming the enemy to seize victory" is Spartacus's sure-win tactic.

Furthermore, even without magical treatment, his injuries will gradually and automatically heal over time.

Indomitable Will: A

An extremely strong will that will never yield to any hardship or despair.

Grants resistance to physical and mental damage. However, it lacks resistance to damage caused by "external inducements," such as illusions.

For instance, while resistant to damage from "falling into a pitfall," he has no resistance to damage from "not seeing a pitfall due to an illusion and subsequently falling in."

【Noble Phantasm】

『Howl of the Wounded Beast』

Rank: A+

Type: Anti-Unit (Self)

Range: 0

Maximum Targets: 1 person

Crying Warmonger

A continuously-active Noble Phantasm. Converts a portion of the damage received from enemies into magical energy, storing it within his body. The conversion efficiency of magical energy increases as Spartacus's physical strength decreases. The magical energy accumulated in this way can be used to enhance Spartacus's abilities.

As the accumulated magical energy increases, he begins to enlarge, with wounded parts bulging like tumors. When reaching the limit, he completely transforms into a monstrosity; in this state, even three Command Spells cannot control the Berserker at all.

His arms increase to eight, three of which are like tentacles seemingly boneless, capable of shattering boulders like whips with a single strike. His body weight becomes completely unsupportable by two legs, so he grows numerous additional legs like an insect. His head retracts into his neck, with upper and lower jaws protruding from his shoulders like a dinosaur, and his eyes multiply to five, distributed across his shoulders, head, and abdomen.

If Spartacus is beaten to the verge of death, the vast magical energy stored should be more than enough to destroy everything before him.

Although classified as an Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm, it can also function as an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, and its maximum self-destruction power rivals even an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm. The fact that he unified a mere patchwork rebel army and repeatedly defeated the powerful Roman forces suggests his popularity and command ability were extraordinary. Yet, a greater factor in his being beloved is that he was the hero symbolized by this Noble Phantasm, one who "surely achieves reverse victories." For the rebel soldiers, the more hopeless the situation seemed, the more certain the victory ahead became.

Although he himself is unaware, this reverse-victory tactic relies on showmanship, which is why his popularity as a gladiator was also very high. He has no concrete motive for seeking the Holy Grail; his only desire is a longing to rush onto the battlefield.

For Spartacus, whose aspiration is to save the oppressed and rebel against oppressors, the battlefield is a place where only the weak and strong exist, filled with the pain and trials he so desperately craves.

When confronting formidable Servants or the like, his very body might even undergo transformation.

Zenobia

Class: Archer

Alignment: Lawful · Good | Sub-Attribute: Human | Gender: Female

Height: 170 cm

Weight: 55 kg

Character Background

The Queen of the Palmyrene Empire, which existed in the 3rd century in the area of modern-day Syria. Hailed as the greatest heroine of the Eastern world and a peerless beauty, she was a genius learned in multiple languages and sciences, possessing a well-trained body and a love for horseback riding and hunting. She supported her husband, the ruler of Palmyra, with her intellect and strength, earning great renown. However, after her husband was murdered by a relative, she took his place as queen, ruling Palmyra jointly with her son.

Palmyra was originally part of the Roman Empire, but taking advantage of the chaos throughout the Roman territories at the time, Zenobia strengthened her own power, conquering vast areas including Egypt, and establishing Palmyra as an independent state. Together with her son, she usurped the title of "Emperor," further deepening the conflict with Rome. The soldier-emperor Aurelian, who came to power to restore the Roman Empire, personally led a campaign, ultimately conquering the Palmyrene Empire, and Zenobia was taken captive. It is said that during Aurelian's triumph, she was paraded through the streets of Rome, adorned with glittering golden chains and shackles, wearing jewels in humiliation. There are rumors that she died thereafter, and others that she later became a Roman citizen and lived happily.

As a Servant, Zenobia exists to cleanse this disgrace. Even if it is an uncertain legend, even if it is an end erased from her own memory, the Eastern Queen must never beg. She must not be forgiven and then live as a Roman citizen after the destruction of Palmyra. The humiliation of defeat should not be erased but overcome. Therefore, she manifests in this most humiliating form. Because her true prime as a Servant is "the moment she shook off this humiliation and died as a true heroine." Even if she manifested in her earlier image as a warrior queen, she could not escape the scorn of being "the queen who will eventually be utterly broken and humiliated," meaning she would not be her true self. For this reason, she deliberately adopts this humiliating form, yet gazes resolutely ahead with unwavering eyes that never forget the dignity of a queen.

Character Appearance

Grey hair and dark skin. Her appearance demonstrates no correlation between degree of exposure and morality. Though clad in minimal clothing, she exudes no coquettishness, instead radiating an aura of inviolable dignity. Adorned with golden shackles and chains on her wrists and neck, symbolizing humiliation. Wields a large sword, with two floating cannons hovering around her.

Personality & Habits

A chaste woman, somewhat ill-suited to dealing with matters of love and romance. Believes that casually touching the opposite sex or wearing overly revealing clothing is improper, yet holds complex feelings about her own current manifested form. Never yields to any predicament, always maintaining the dignity and pride of a queen. She cannot forget the humiliation of losing to Emperor Aurelian, the weight of the golden chains, the pain of the golden manacles, the shameful gleam of the jewels adorning her. Although legend suggests she begged for mercy during her trial due to fear, her manifested self flatly denies this possibility, vowing to prove herself as a true heroine.

Speech Style

"Do you know of dates? They are the fruit of the date palm, which grew in abundance in Palmyra... Sweet and delicious."

"You might think me a crude warrior, but I... value chastity greatly. Casually touching the opposite sex, wearing overly revealing clothes... well, I believe it is not proper. No, I know what you wish to say. But even so, this is what I believe!"

"By the Queen's command—fire!"

"Initiation of denial. That which is displayed to heaven and earth is the valor of my illusions. Therefore, the shackles that should shine shall dissolve and disappear. I shall prove my own existence through an impossible ideal! Shatter, golden shackles, golden humiliation! —Applaud, for this is the Queen's triumph!"

Character Abilities

Her weapons are a large sword and two ornate floating cannons, enabling diverse attacks combining close and ranged combat. Her fighting style blends the bravery of a warrior with the elegance of a queen, the floating cannons firing flexibly under her command.

【Parameters】

Strength: A

Endurance: B+

Agility: A

Mana: D

Luck: C

Noble Phantasm: B

【Class Skills】

Magic Resistance: D

Cancels Single-Action spells.

Independent Action: B

The ability to remain materialized for a long duration even without a Master's magical energy supply. After losing her Master, she can maintain her manifestation for up to three days.

Riding: B

Her trained physique allows her to ride horses skillfully, but she cannot ride Phantasmal Beasts or Divine Beasts.

【Personal Skills】

Usurped Augusta: B

A skill representing the act of Zenobia, along with her co-ruling son, proclaiming themselves Emperor. She bestowed the title "Augustus"—the highest title of a Roman Emperor—upon her son, and used "Augusta" for herself—the feminine form denoting Empress or Emperor's mother. This is less a desire for the position of Roman Emperor and more an expression of pride and sarcasm: "The ones truly fit to rule the Roman Empire (the world) are not you, but us." Therefore, using this skill does not grant Roman traits.

Siege of Aurelian (Resistance): A

The Roman Emperor Aurelian personally led a punitive expedition against Palmyra, capturing Zenobia after a siege. This skill represents the fierce resistance put up by Zenobia and the Palmyrene army before this, as well as her intense rebellious spirit in choosing fundamental war against Rome.

Prosperous Palmyra: A

Represents Zenobia's ability to manage a nation with balance, using her exceptional martial prowess and intelligence. She governed the Palmyrene Empire well through this ability. Palmyra was an oasis city in the Syrian desert, extremely prosperous as a key caravan hub. At its peak, the Palmyrene Empire ruled a vast territory encompassing Syria, Arabia, Egypt, and more.

【Noble Phantasm】

『Shatter, Golden Shackles, Golden Humiliation』

Rank: A+

Type: Self-Conquest Noble Phantasm

Range: 0

Maximum Targets: —

Authentic Triumph

A Noble Phantasm that can only be activated when she wholeheartedly believes that her current self has "successfully proven herself to be the ideal queen" or that she "can prove it through this battle." If she harbors even the slightest hesitation, it cannot be activated.

By pouring in all of her magical energy, mental strength, willpower, awakening, rage, dignity, and more, she shatters the golden shackles and chains tightly bound to her Spirit Origin as a Servant, transforming into the image of her "desired possibility"—the Eastern Queen who "cleansed the defeat and humiliation brought by the Roman Emperor Aurelian, triumphed over Rome, and seized victory."

This is not merely a physical liberation of the body but also a departure from the incomplete mentality of past Zenobia. In other words, from the perspective of a Servant who is a shadow, it is the denial of the possibility of the "non-ideal Zenobia who was perhaps covered in cowardice, even resorting to begging," equivalent to temporarily rewriting the concept of her own existence.

Upon the True Name release of this Noble Phantasm, all of Zenobia's abilities receive a staggering boost. The moment the shackles are shattered, her true worth is revealed between heaven and earth.

Cleopatra VII

Class: Assassin

Alignment: Lawful · Balanced

Gender: Female

Height: 171 cm

Weight: 58 kg

Character Background

A tragic queen remembered in history for her beauty, the last queen of Egypt's Ptolemaic dynasty, and essentially the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.

In many works, she is depicted as a bewitching beauty who indulged in love and privatized her nation, but the truth is the opposite. She possessed extremely high intelligence, particularly a genius for economic measures. She was a female leader who, through her direction, managed to make the militarily weaker Ptolemaic dynasty one of the world's foremost economic powers.

Strictly speaking, the "last pharaoh" was actually her biological son Caesarion, who co-ruled with her in the final years and survived her death by at least a few days. However, Caesarion was only 9 years old when he met his end. From the perspective of governing a nation and fighting against fate, the de facto "last pharaoh" should be considered Cleopatra.

She was associated with two men in her lifetime. The first was Caesar, with whom she undoubtedly fell in love, and after Caesar's assassination, she bore his son Caesarion. Later, the Roman general Antony appeared, declaring he would protect her and the Ptolemaic dynasty. She deeply loved her country, her subjects, Caesar, and Antony, and ultimately died by suicide.

However, not only later generations but even people of her own time spread rumors that she was a "demonic woman who seduced Roman generals." Upon manifesting as a Heroic Spirit in the modern era, she has also been assigned the existential role of a "seductive woman with demonic beauty." Even so, she maintains her dignity, choosing only outstanding men with trustworthy, sincere interiors—those worthy of her being willing to die together with them—as partners.

Her wish for the Holy Grail is "for her son Caesarion to recognize Caesar's existence" or "for Caesar to successfully lose weight."

Character Appearance

She has long, straight cyan-blue hair with neat bangs, paired with clear eyes of the same color scheme. She wears a golden hairband, circular patterned earrings, as well as a necklace, multiple bracelets, rings, a large waist ornament, and various other fine golden accessories. She is dressed in a black-and-white high-neck top, black leather shorts, and black fishnet stockings. Her overall look is capable and sharp yet gorgeous, combining the majesty of a queen with a modern sense of fashion.

Personality & Habits

In public, as a queen, her speech and conduct are extremely proud. But in personal moments as Cleopatra herself, she restrains this extraordinary behavior and becomes a well-bred, thoughtful, and calm young lady.

To describe her character in a phrase, it would be "domineering, sadistic, yet kind." She has sadistic tendencies but is affectionate; her sadism isn't about deriving pleasure from bullying others, but rather her personality is simply like that.

She has the demeanor of a queen but is fundamentally very courteous. She is a person of high character who cares about the feelings of those around her and strives to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. When foreign delegations arrive, she always scolds them first—actually out of concern for their well-being—and then entertains them with the highest level of hospitality. Thus, even knowing they will be scolded, an endless stream of envoys continues to visit seeking an audience.

Speech Style

"I am quite adored, it seems!"

"Behold the sunset of Egypt, the serpent revealing the end. Command as the last pharaoh—O Serpent of Terminating Dawn, descend here!"

"But this is not my fault!"

"My fingers have become soiled. If I must crush something anyway, better to crush fruit."

"Kneel! I shall thoroughly cherish you."

"Wish to do various things? Not permitted!"

Character Abilities

【Parameters】

Strength: B

Endurance: C

Agility: A

Mana: D

Luck: D

Noble Phantasm: A

【Class Skills】

Presence Concealment: B

A skill to erase one's presence. When active, even Servants can barely perceive her existence. However, the effect diminishes significantly upon attacking.

Divinity: D

Possesses divine aptitude. The pharaohs of the Ptolemaic dynasty, compared to ancient Egyptian divine kings like the legendary Ozymandias, had a weaker connection to the gods and shouldn't normally possess this skill. However, due to her exceptional beauty, Cleopatra was regarded as an "incarnation of the goddess Isis," granting her this skill.

【Personal Skills】

Imperial Privilege: A

Allows the acquisition of skills not originally possessed for a short period. Cleopatra uses this skill to engage in frontal close-quarters spear combat, which is atypical for an Assassin. (She compensates for originally lacking combat skills with this, hence the overwhelming performance of the Imperial Privilege skill itself cannot be fully demonstrated).

Golden Rule (Wealth & Body): A

Firstly, it signifies a destiny where money flows abundantly around one's life. She possessed such ample wealth that numerous powerful Roman figures constantly sought her financial assistance. The fact of managing a dynasty granted her this monetary skill.

Secondly, it represents her innate, goddess-like perfect physique.

This is a special skill combining two types of "Golden Rule."

Goddess's Protection: C

A skill indicating the divine protection of the goddess Isis.

【Noble Phantasm】

『Serpent of the End, Manifest at Dawn』

Rank: A

Type: Anti-Army

Range: 5~50

Maximum Targets: 50 people

Uraeus Astrape

Summons a gigantic monster—a serpent with an intertwined pattern of gold and blue.

The serpent is wreathed entirely in flames. Cleopatra lacks the Riding skill, so she cannot control this serpent. Consequently, the serpent will simply destroy everything around it indiscriminately. (If Cleopatra possesses the Divinity skill, the damage is proportionally reduced based on its rank).

This serpent is called a "Divine Beast" in Egypt, but strictly speaking, it is not a Phantasmal Species Divine Beast. It is the conceptual embodiment of the "end" of Ancient Egypt. Staking her life to terminate the Egyptian history that had continued for millennia—this, combined with Cleopatra's lifelong regrets, anguish, and the absoluteness of the pharaoh (united with Uraeus), forms this Noble Phantasm.

The symbolic serpent is a cobra. Was Cleopatra's choice to end her life by allowing a serpent to bite her a coincidence, intent, or a fate preordained?

Boudica

Class: Rider

Alignment: Lawful · Good

Gender: Female

Height: 174 cm

Weight: 62 kg

Character Background

The warrior queen of 1st-century Britannia, chieftain of the Celtic tribes.

Her early life was peaceful and fulfilling, living with her husband and raising two daughters. Inter-tribal conflict was scarce in Britannia at that time, and she had originally hoped for peaceful coexistence and mutual exchange with the Roman Empire coming from across the sea.

After her husband's death, Roman politics shifted. Following Nero's ascension, imperial administrators drastically changed their attitude, imposing heavy taxes, plundering lands, and arbitrarily condemning the populace to slavery in Britannia. Boudica herself and her daughters suffered cruel mistreatment, shattering her complete trust.

To protect her homeland and people, she rallied the royal families of various Britannic tribes to launch a revolt, leading her army to heavily damage the Roman garrison, successively destroying three Roman cities in the territory, and momentarily overwhelming the imperial forces. Ultimately, at the decisive Battle of Watling Street, she was defeated by the regular army led by a renowned Roman general and perished.

After her death, she became a legendary Queen of Victory known throughout Britannia. Having manifested as a Heroic Spirit, she still deeply loves the mountains, rivers, plants, animals, and all the people of her homeland. Her innermost wish is to pray for Britannia's eternal peace, and she also hopes that people of different tribes can live in safety and laughter.

Character Appearance

Red hair, with a heroic and determined countenance, her eyes always holding unyielding fortitude. She wears traditionally styled Celtic battle armor and a battle skirt, lightweight and form-fitting, suited for mounted combat. Tall and agile, her physique combines a gentle maternal aura with the sharp edge of a battlefield warrior. Her signature combat vehicle is a unique two-horse chariot.

Personality & Habits

Open-hearted and warm by nature, with a cheerful and easygoing personality. Except for those associated with Rome, she can easily befriend almost anyone.

Deeply maternal at her core, regardless of gender or age, she will gently care for anyone she takes an interest in, treating them like juniors.

As a warrior carrying Celtic blood, she takes pride in fighting to protect. Her true nature is gentle and generous; only when crisis descends does she fully transform into a brave and fierce warrioress.

Her Heroic Spirit form retains a youthful appearance, and her personality carries a touch of maidenly innocence. She is very proud of the meaning of her name, which represents "victory."

Treats her Master like a close older sister, gentle and considerate, constantly worrying about their safety and thoughtfully reminding them not to overexert themselves.

Speech Style

"I will stake my life to protect everything in my homeland!"

"Those who dare trample upon Britannia shall not be forgiven!"

"You don't need to push yourself. Rest a little if you're tired."

"The conviction of victory will never be extinguished."

"Charge forth, chariot, and drive out the invaders from this land!"

"May this land enjoy eternal peace and tranquility."

【Noble Phantasm】

『Chariot of Unpromised Protection』

Rank: B+

Type: Anti-Army

Range: 240

Maximum Targets: 50 people

Boudica's twin-horse-drawn chariot, a symbol of Britannia's protection, possessing extreme durability. When its True Name is released, the chariot manifests, constructing a protective barrier for the master and allies. Endowed with the blessings of Celtic gods, it possesses flight capabilities. Its thrusting destructive power is not top-tier; its most optimal use is as a sturdy shield protecting the allied camp.

『Sword of Unpromised Victory』

Rank: B

Type: Anti-Unit

Range: 120

Maximum Targets: 1 person

A single-handed sword bearing the name of victory. It is not a holy sword, but embodies the prayer for a victory that cannot be guaranteed. Capable of consecutively firing small magical bullets with low mana consumption. Upon True Name release, it can launch a salvo of multiple magical attacks, heavily damaging the enemy.
