He was an unnamed child. Unwanted and mistreated by the world. They starved every day and never fought nor argued. They stayed silent and took their misfortune. Until one day he died. He was just five. He did no wrong and yet the world allowed this to happen. He didn't deserve this. He deserved more. He deserved better.
This the gods agreed. They stared down at his soul. The brightest soul they've ever seen. Delivered to them too quickly. He deserved to grow up. He deserved to be happy.
"Do not fear. We will grant you a life you deserve. To be raised by people that will love you for eternity. People that will protect you and raise you. This we swear." A god softly touched the soul. "Just in case. We will grant you prime luck. You will never be unlucky again."
That was when he was sent to another world. Reincarnated as Azreal. The boy who would grow as he deserves. Happy and thriving.
