Chapter 1: The Beginning

Chapter Text

Six Gravity and Procellarum just finished making a performance and was heading towards their backstage rooms.

“Can’t wait to hit the bed~” Kakeru said. He was so tired and he just wanted to take a rest. “Be patient. Also, don’t forget to take a bath later,” Hajime replied to Kakeru.

“By the way, did anyone else noticed that Iku incidentally flashed his stomach? Didn’t know you’re quite toned~” Koi teased. Iku got embarrassed and said, “It was an incident! Please don’t talk about it!”. Koi continued to tease Iku which resulted to the latter’s protests.

“Please don’t talk about it anymore!” Iku raised his arms in protest and incidentally hit someone behind him.

There were stairs behind them.

Both Koi and Iku widened their eyes in horror.

“SHUN-SAN!!!”

“How is it, Doctor?” Kurotsuki asked, as soon as he saw the doctor came out of the room. “He’s fine. He’s sleeping right now, so please don’t make too much noise. Also, he might suffer from amnesia, so we have to wait until he wake up and see,” the doctor said.

“W-What? Amnesia?” Kurotsuki asked, panicked. “Yes, but the damage weren’t that bad so it probably won’t last too long. About a month or so,” the doctor replied.  “Oh my god, I’m going to get fired for this,” Kurotsuki said. “More importantly, how is he going to perform??” he added.

“Calm down, it wasn’t confirmed yet. The doctor said we should wait until he wake up,” Tsukishiro said, trying to calm Kurotsuki.

“What should I do? I was the cause…” Iku said. “It’s not your fault, Ikkun… It’s fate…” Rui said, patting Iku on the back. “Yeah, maybe there’s a reason God let this happen.” Hajime said.

“Doctor, can we see him?” Haru asked. “Yes, but please be quiet. Also, don’t enter all by once. ” the doctor said. “Thank you,” Haru said. The doctor bowed a bit before leaving.

“Alright guys, who is gonna enter first?” Kai asked.

In the end, the order of their entrance was decided through their ages. The junior pairs entered first while the managers were last.

Finally it was the seniors’ time and they entered slowly and carefully to not make any noise.

“Somehow he blended so perfectly with the room,” Haru said, trying to brighten the atmosphere. “I see what you mean, the white room and his white hair,” Kai replied. Hajime was going to say something when he noticed something. “Wait… His fingers are moving! Call the doctor!” he ordered. Haru immediately went out of the room to tell the others and call the doctor.

Shun slowly opened his eyes.

‘White ceilings… Where am I?’

His eyes moved and saw blurry image of two men in front of him.

“Shun, are you feeling okay?” Kai asked. “Do you recognize us?” Hajime asked. Shun slowly blinked his eyes until his vision got clearer.

“Who… Are you guys…?”

Kai and Hajime froze. “Hajime, did you hear what I heard?” Kai asked. “Yes, I did,” Hajime replied. “Who…?” Shun asked again. Hajime was about to reply when the door was opened and the doctor came in.

“He woke up faster than I thought he would,” the doctor said as he checked Shun’s hearbeat and other necessary stuffs.

“Doctor, he didn’t recognize us…” Kai said. “I see… Could you two go out for a while?” the doctor requested. “Sure,” Hajime said and both of them went out.

“Hajime-san! Kai-san! What happened?” Koi asked. “He woke up… But he didn’t recognize us,” Hajime said. “Eh? So Shun-san really did get amnesia?” Aoi asked. “I’m definitely gonna get fired…” Kurotsuki mumbled.

After a few moments, the doctor came out and said, “He seemed to forget everything except his name ,”.

“What about his family? ” Kai asked. The doctor shook his head. “What should we do then?” Yoru asked. “Please treat him kindly. He might act like a child sometimes so be careful not to hurt him. Also, refrain from using complex words as he might not be able to understand them,” the doctor replied.

“So he really did became like a child,” Arata said. “There is no problem aside from that, so he’ll be able to go home tomorrow. Remember, treat him kindly” the doctor said and left.

“Well then, let’s return for now. We’ll come again tomorrow,” Tsukishiro said.

“Who are you guys?” Shun asked when he saw Procella members entered. “We’re your group members,” You said, taking a seat on a chair beside the bed. “Group members? Am I in a some kind of group?” Shun asked. “Actually… We’re an idol group. In fact, you’re the leader” Kai said. Shun stared at him like he grew another eye on his face. “Are you kidding? Me, leader of an idol group?” Shun asked.

“He’s saying the truth. Here, look at this” You said and showed a poster of them. They expected this was going to happen so they brought it along.

“I can’t believe this,” Shun said, staring at the poster, wide-eyed. “You will if you follow us back to the dorm,” You said. “No way. What if you guys are kidnappers or scammers or whatever bad guys out there,” Shun said, refusing to follow them.

“Shun-san, please trust us,” Yoru said. “And you don’t even remember where your house is… Where are you going to go then?” Kai said. Shun went silent at that.

‘This guy is right. I don’t know where to go’ Shun thought.

“… Fine,” he finally agree. “Great. Let’s wait for the doctor to do a final check before leaving,” Kai said.

“Shun-san!!”

Shun stared at the strangers who were calling for him. “Who are these guys?” he asked Kai, who was standing beside him. “They are Six Gravity’s junior pair. The blond is Kakeru while the pink head is Koi. Six Gravity is our rival unit, but we’re friends. Also, we’re under the same company.” Kai explained to Shun.

“Welcome back, Shun-san!” Koi and Kakeru said. “Thanks… Uhh… Koi and Kakeru…?” Shun said. “Don’t surprise him like that,” Aoi said. “Who are you?” Shun asked. “Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I’m Satsuki Aoi, and this one beside me is Uzuki Arata.” Aoi said. “Hello,” Arata greeted.

“What about those two?” Shun asked, pointing towards Haru and Hajime who were coming towards them. “The one with glasses is Haru-san, while the one with purple shirt is Hajime-san. He is our leader,” Aoi said.

“Shun, I hope you’ll get better soon,” Haru said. “Thanks…?” Shun replied, and turned to look at Hajime. “Why are you staring at me like that?” Hajime asked. “I don’t know. I just felt something when I look at you,” Shun replied, which caused Haru to laugh.

“Hajime, seems like he’s still attracted to you although he lost his memories,” Haru said. “Shut up, Haru” Hajime said which caused Haru to laugh even more. “’Attract’? Is he my crush or something?” Shun asked.

“You’re his fan. You would get excited whenever he is nearby and you like to cling to him. We don’t know whether he’s your crush or not, though” Kai said. “What are you talking about, of course not” Hajime said. “How would you know, Hajime?” Haru asked, teasing Hajime.

“There’s so many things that I don’t remember,” Shun stated. “Don’t worry Shun-san, you’ll be fine!” Iku said.

“Thank you. By the way, where’s my room?” Shun asked. “I almost forgot. Follow me,” Kai said and walked ahead. Shun followed behind him.

“Here. Don’t worry, your stuffs are untouched” Kai said, opening the door. He’s glad that the door didn’t open to other dimension because that would freak out Shun who didn’t remember anything. (Oh,the irony…)

“Is the room always this spacious?” Shun asked. “Actually, your room is the only one like this. Our rooms are pretty normal,” Kai replied. “Why? Isn’t this unfair?” Shun asked. Kai mentally face-palmed himself. How is he going to explain that?

“Just ignore the small details,” Kai said. “But don’t you think this is unfair? Have you report this to the company? The managers? I would feel bad about it,” Shun asked. “Don’t worry about it. We don’t mind. Just forget about it, okay?” Kai said.

“… Fine,” Shun said.

“Get comfortable here, I’m going to join the rest” Kai said and left.

Shun entered the room and closed the door. His eyes landed on the ‘Hajime Altar’. He walked towards it. “I must be a really huge fan of this guy,” he said to himself as he looked at all the stuffs. “Was his name ‘Hajime’? I wonder what made myself like this guy so much,”. Then he went towards the bed and lie on it. He was going to close his eyes when he suddenly heard a weird sound. He sat up and search for the source. His eyes landed on a box.

A moving box. Coming towards him.

“Kai-san, you look tired,” Yoru said. “He asked me a difficult question,” Kai replied. “What did  Shun asked?” Rui asked. “He asked why his room is bigger than the rest… He said he felt bad about it so I just told him to forget about it.” Kai explained to the rest. “If you said he had unique ‘abilities’ I’m sure he will think you’re crazy,” You said. “That’s why I said it’s a difficult question,” Kai said. They continued to chat around when suddenly they heard a scream from upstairs.

“What was that?” Hajime asked. “That’s Shun’s voice. Let’s go check what happened!” Kai said and all of them rushed upstairs.

Shun rushed towards the door and hugged whoever the first person that opened the door. “A ghost! There is a ghost here!” Shun yelled. “Wha-What? A ghost?” Hajime asked, a bit taken back when Shun hugged him. “I saw a box coming towards me! It’s a box, it wasn’t supposed to move!” Shun said, trembling.

“I see. So Diablo scared him,” You said. “Poor thing. It must be sad to know its owner is scared of him,” Arata said. “W-What do you mean? I’m the owner of that t-thing?” Shun asked. “Yes,” Hajime said. “No way! What’s inside the box anyway??” Shun asked. “We don’t know either,” Hajime replied. “What do you mean you don’t know?!” Shun asked, his fear and frustration overpowering himself. “Wha- Ouch! Don’t hit me,” Hajime said, grabbing Shun’s arm that was hitting him.

“Diablo must have really scared him. He’s acting without thinking,” Kai said. “Close the door,” he added. Hajime took a few steps backwards with Shun still clinging to him and closed the door. “Seems like he won’t be entering his room ever again,” You said. “What’re we going to do now?” Aoi asked. “Maybe we should bring him to the living room first,” Yoru suggested. “That’s a good idea!” Koi said.

So they went to the living room with Shun still clinging to Hajime and refusing to let go. “Hajime, seems like your ‘darling’ is refusing to let you go,” Haru teased. “Why are you teasing me a lot today?” Hajime asked, slightly irritated. “Just for fun,” Haru replied.

“You can relax now. That thing isn’t here,” Kai said. “R-Really?” Shun asked. “Yes, you can trust me,” Kai replied. Shun slowly let go of Hajime and looked around anxiously to make sure that Kai’s telling the truth. He calmed down when he realized he’s safe. “Uh... Sorry for the commotion…” Shun apologized. “It’s okay, we understand,” Aoi said.

Shun turned to Hajime and apologized again. “Sorry for hitting you just now… Are you hurt?” Shun asked. “I’m fine,” Hajime said.

“Shun-san, do you think you can sleep in your room tonight?” Iku asked. “As long as that thing isn’t there…” Shun said. “I’m sure Diablo understand the situation” Kai said. “He probably hid himself already,” he added.

“Oh, it’s lunch time already. Shun-san, is there anything you want to eat?” Aoi asked. “Anything is fine,” Shun replied. “Okay then,” Aoi said. Then Aoi and Yoru stood up and went towards the kitchen.

“You will love their cooking,” You said. “Really?” Shun asked. “Yeah, just wait until they’re done,” Kai said.

“It’s delicious, thank you!” Shun said. Aoi and Yoru blushed a bit as they said “You’re welcome,”. “I told you,” You said. “You guys are so kind. I’m sorry for not trusting you guys earlier.” Shun said. “Don’t worry about it, Shun-san” Iku said and Rui nodded his head in agreement. “I’m also sorry for forgetting you guys,” Shun said. “Don’t worry about it. We understand,” Kai said.

Shun smiled genuinely and his smile brightened the room.

‘That’s totally different from his usual smile!!!’ they thought.

“Don’t stare too long, Hajime” Haru teased again. Hajime nudged him and said, “I did not stare at him. Seriously, why are you teasing me a lot today?”.

“By the way, I’m thinking of the reason why I’m Hajime’s fan,” Shun suddenly said. “Do you guys know why?” he asked. “Why do you want to know?” Kai asked. “There are a lot of Hajime-related stuffs in my room. I’m curious how did I like him so much,” Shun answered.

“Hajime, did you do something to charm him?” Haru asked. “Excuse me. I did not do such a thing” Hajime said. “So you don’t know either? I must be a secretive person,” Shun said. “Actually, I did asked you about it. You said nothing special happened and told me to just act like how I usually do,” Hajime explained.

“I see…” Shun said.

“Also, you said we’re idols, but what’s going to happen now that I don’t remember any choreography and lyrics?” Shun asked. “About that, Kurotsuki-san and Tsukishiro-san are discussing with the company’s president” Aoi said. “I’m sure Shun-san will be okay. You memorize things fast,” Iku said.

“I memorize things fast, huh…? The irony…” Shun muttered.
