"Midoriya, oh my gods, is that a hickey?"
Mina was the first one to notice. And the first one to call it out, causing Deku to clap a hand to his neck, flushing deeply. So, uh, the answer to that question was a yes, then?
"Deku-kun," Ochako whined, "You didn't tell me you were dating someone! Who is it? Come on, tell me!"
"Tell all of us!" Mina cheered, "Come on, don't be shy!"
"Wha- no!" Deku flushed deeper, "That's - He could - I mean -"
"A boy!" Mina crowed, looking around the classroom, "Which one of y'all boys has been making out with Midoriya?"
"I know," Kaminari said, looking smug, "My girlfriend told me."
Deku glared at Kaminari, but the rest of the class turned to him with far more eager gazes.
"Your seeeecret girlfriend told you?" Mina was on the hunt now, "Come on, why's she a secret? Tell us, tell us! About both your girlfriend and Midoriya's boyfriend!"
"W-ell..." Kaminari drew the word out with a grin, "I thought she had to be secret, or else there would be trouble, but... Did you know that UA is one of the only schools in the country that not only allows, but encourages romantic relationships between students and teachers?"
"You're dating a teacher?" Mina gasped, delighted.
"Deku-kun too?" Ochako was shocked, "Deku-kun's dating a teacher?"
She looked over at her friend, who was trying to make himself look small, face bright red. They made eye contact, and Deku gave a small, almost imperceptible nod.
Oh my gods, Deku was dating a teacher.
"Who?" Mina demanded, "Who?"
"Me, or Midoriya?" Kaminari was enjoying the attention at least.
"Uh, both. Obviously," Kyoka piped up for the first time, spinning one of her earjacks. There were noises of agreement from everyone in the classroom, minus a handful who were trying very hard not to look interested in this, and Deku himself, who was now lying face down on his desk.
"Well, I -"
"All of you, quiet down," Aizawa-sensei cut them off, "You should know better by now."
They settled, at least for the moment. It felt like that might be the end of the conversation, at least until that night back in the dorms, but Kaminari leaned over towards Mina to whisper something. On his other side, Kyoka burst out with shock:
"WHAT? MIDORIYA IS DATING AIZAWA-SENSEI?"
And then, once again, the classroom descended into chaos.
