What is 503 Week?
503 Week is a fan celebration honoring Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist, centered around the date May 3rd — inspired by Winry's hotel room number (503) when she visited the brothers in Central. Each day of the week features a new prompt for creators to explore their relationship in any form they choose.

When is it?
May 1st through May 5th, every year.

Do I have to post every day?
Nope! Contribute as much or as little as you like. One piece, seven, or even late entries — they’re all appreciated.

Can I combine prompts?
Yes! Feel free to mash them together, reinterpret them, or even use them as jumping-off points for something a little different.

Is NSFW content allowed?
Yes, as long as it's properly tagged and rated according to AO3 guidelines.

How do I join the AO3 collection?
When you post your fic, select the 503WeekOfficialCollection under “Post to Collections / Challenges.” That’s it!

Pairing Focused
This event is specifically for EdWin, meaning Edward and Winry as the main pairing. Other ships may be included as side characters or background, but this is about the dynamic between Ed and Winry at its core.

Any FMA Universe, Canon or AU
Works can take place within Fullmetal Alchemist canon, but feel free to explore alternative universes, canon-divergence, or anything that reimagines Ed and Winry's relationship. Whether it’s a fantasy AU, modern setting, or a completely original twist on the characters, we’re excited to see how you interpret their bond.

Prompts are there to inspire you, but they are not mandatory! Feel free to take the prompts in any direction or create your own ideas entirely. We want to see your creativity shine!

Post Within the Event Window
While the event runs from May 1st to May 5th, 2025, posts do not have to be made during this window. However, please be mindful that late entries are not guaranteed to be included in the collection. Submissions made outside of the event window may be added at the organizers’ discretion, depending on timing and volume.

No Plagiarism
All submissions must be your original work. If you’ve been inspired by others, make sure to credit them appropriately. Plagiarism will not be tolerated, and we want to ensure everyone’s creativity is respected.

Content Warnings & Ratings
Be sure to apply appropriate content warnings and ratings based on the themes of your story (e.g., violence, trauma, explicit content). NSFW content must be tagged as such, and the appropriate ratings must be applied. Everyone has different comfort levels, and it’s important to give them the option to avoid certain topics.
