“I became a demon so I could become stronger,” Akaza tells Kyojuro with a scoff. “Humans are too weak.”
“But why?” Kyojuro asks. Akaza doesn’t understands why he won’t just give up. He doesn’t remember, so it might as well not have happened. “Why did you want to become stronger?”
The pressure shatters.
(Or: The process of remembering his past is painful, and Akaza wants nothing to do with it. Kyojuro believes otherwise.)
