Summary
Ymir is considered an aggressive delinquent, hardly at school and always in some form of beaten up. Her rotten attitude doesn't help the rumours either. What people don't know is that at home, her father severely abuses her.
Historia Reiss is beautiful and popular and everything everyone wants. She doesn't care about anyone in her life, except for maybe making Ymir's life difficult.
When Ymir shows up at school beaten up again, Historia goes too far in her taunting and she ignites a fire in them both that'll lead them to the school bathroom and each other's lips. They start a violent, fiery physical relationship that both rips open old wounds and creates new ones. They're completely unhealthy for each other, and of course they don't care for each other at all.
But what if they do? And what if it turns into more?

Summary
A light flush spreads across the firefighter’s cheeks. It’s almost like she’s embarrassed by the memory, and Annie might’ve found it endearing if it weren’t for the fact that her breathing was beginning to fail. Anticipation and apprehension rises up her spine while the other woman finds her words.
“A woman yelled at me from her window on the day I took my tour. It was...a horrifying experience, and I decided not to return to it,” she explains almost sheepishly, shrugging one shoulder and glancing away just in time to miss the way Annie’s face transforms entirely.
In all of one moment, everything is startlingly clear. Annie can see this woman in her mind’s eye, standing below her window in a red scarf. She can see Ymir screeching and her running away and Annie missing her by mere moments. It’s a perfect play by play that she’s been repeating in her head for weeks, except now she actually has a face to imagine. And that face has her stomach dropping all too suddenly, has all the blood draining from her head, has her squeezing the cat in her arms tight enough for him to let out a mrow of alarm.

Summary
Annie works at a coffee shop and tries to skate by doing as little work as possible. She hates people and customers are no exception. And guess what? They hate her too. Annie's had a shit day at work, until a girl in a red scarf stops in. She tips Annie (an unprecedented event) and orders Annie's favorite thing to make: black coffee. Fate begins to work it's magic and their paths cross more than once, until one day the girl starts working at the coffee shop with Annie and they kinda sorta click (though neither will admit it). Begrudgingly, Annie realizes she might not hate everyone after all.
