Keith smirks, a sharp, dangerous thing. He hears Lance’s words, hears the steel hidden in the softness of his tone, his voice promising trouble.
But the Garrison does not know their Red Paladin as well as the rest of Voltron.
They do not know Voltron at all.
All they see are the cadets that left Earth five years ago, children playing pretend heroes.
They are underestimating them.
That is their mistake.
Or alternatively, when doubt is cast on the Paladins” worth and capabilities to be the Paladins of Voltron, the team makes it their mission to prove them wrong. They are warriors, heroes and it is about time the world recognized them as such.

Summary
It begins with a mission on the Planet Sorei and escalates, rapidly, from there. Lance is hiding something and the paladins of Voltron need to find out what it is, and how they can convince Lance that they’re with him no matter what, before it’s too late.

Summary
Lance reread the note, making sure he hadn't missed anything, Hunk’s stress baking habits, the easiest ways to get Pidge to agree to go to sleep when they stayed up for weeks on end, the recipe for Allura’s preferred face mask for those really hard days of being the princess of Altea and the signs that Coran needed someone to talk to. It was all neatly written on several sheets of paper worn around the edges and only slightly tear stained from how much Lance had gone over it again and again for months. He hoped someone would read it when he was gone.
Lance finally done with being the weak link, the extra wheel, leaves.
