Summary
Six years after his abrupt disappearance, Hatake Kakashi finally returns to Konoha with two tweens and one more Uchiha than he left with.
Everyone is very confused.
OR: Kakashi wakes up several years in the past, a couple of days before the Uchiha Massacre. With his knowledge of the future and the skills he's gathered from his tenure as Rokudaime Hokage, he decides to fix things around - in his own special way.
OR: sometimes a family is a timetravelling turned missing-nin former ANBU captain orphan who lost all of his precious people, a severely autistic and emotionally incompetent genius also turned missing-nin also former ANBU captain with a dangerous brother complex, a supposed dead war criminal but also highkey prisoner of war with an homoerotic attachment to his rival/best friend, a precious lowkey emotionally neglected Uchiha with a Bigger brother complex but better emotional regulation, and their shared human sunshine best Boy Ever in the form of the Kyūbi Jinchūriki.

“I thought..that—“ he sucked in a sharp breath. “It worried me. When you distanced yourself from me and wouldn’t even touch me. Of course I thought that..”his voice cracked again, the sound so heartbreaking and devastating in the quiet room. “You'd gotten sick of this.” His own finger pointed uselessly at his chest. “…Of me.”
Then finally, a broken cry slipped past his lips, which quickly turned into more ugly sobs. He scrunched up his face and ducked his head forward.
“What?”
Naruto’s voice was a rough whisper as he stepped fully into Sasuke's space. He reached out, his calloused thumb gently tucking a stray strand of black hair behind the Uchiha's ear, revealing a flushed cheek and a fresh, glistening tear streak.
“Are you an idiot, Sas’ke? Seriously, a total dumbass,” Naruto snapped.
