Overall, fics with a character suffering in some way. A wide variety of angst, ranging from hurt/comfort to hurt-no-comfort and angst/crack.
Anything from at worse, mild psychological horror/torture, to concerning character background trauma reveals, dark characters, and recovering from a stab wound. Occasional ‘captive enemy’ with too much sexual tension.
This will not be as bad as it sounds.

Ouch my heart. Ending was really good. The way the clone Kitt-N dies, and the video follows Thorn, but then we see some parts of Kitt-ns life, and then Thorn mourning, and then eventually Thorn's edath with Fox carving his name n the wall. OMG, the fricking parallels

Chapter 1 is very good. Warning, this is not a happen ending, and ends with Jason's first death. oof. Kind of 'reaction reveal' from white collar unit.

• THE "RULES".
“Talk to me about what?” He couldn’t control the annoyance in his voice if he tried.Jason shifted, eyes raising to meet his before dropping again. “The rules.”
Dick froze. He saw Peter shift out of the corner of his eye, brows drawn over his eyes and mouth pressed in a tight line. His detective look, so close to Bruce’s own he felt a pang of longing whenever he looked at it too long.

“What rules?” Dick asked carefully, with all the care of a man tiptoeing through a minefield.Jason shrugged, forcibly nonchalant. “The ones about what to do so you don’t get hit. Or yelled at. Or… y’know. Other stuff.”

“Then why’d you leave?” Jason’s voice wavered as he spoke, like he was torn between his gut and his heart. Like he wanted to believe Dick, but he couldn’t hide the instinct to pressure until collapse. Delicate trust versus trained survival.Dick flinched, a just there twitch in his muscles, but it may as well looked like he’d been shot. Neal Caffrey didn’t flinch. Neal Caffrey never flinched. Neal Caffrey faced guns and knives and men twice his size, and he had never flinched. He had a cover to maintain.

Actually u ique take.
Odysseus is so so tired. He tries to keep memories of Penelope everywhere he goes. He traces her in the sand, carves her image in wood, and makes small dolls. He talks to these images, asking how she is, and praying that her and their son are alright.
Calypso is horrible, in love, and tragic. She loves him, but does so in the wrong way.Somehow, the daughter of Odysseus’s and calypso meets Poseidon, who indulges her?
(Only on chapter 2 right now, but I’m actually interested)
UPDATE: SHIT HITS THE FAN, Odysseus stabs himself, Poseidon reveals himself, Agapi gets heated to Ithaca. End of chapter 4 (mostly Penelope filler, who is hallucinating Odysseus. These two are made for each other) Telemachus finds Agapi, who tells him that “bubba loves Telemachus”.chapter 10 is really interesting. For the majority, it is Calypso taking form of Odysseus' past friends and family, and his mind being "erased". And him slowly remembering based off shells and rocks that bring back memories, and a carving on his chest he made in a secret code. Then he figures out, Calypso erases his mind and takes a new form, and repeat. Also, he gets blinded in one eye but thats not the main point. The final part shows how Calypso isn't just a one sided monster. The entire fic shows how she's hungry for affection, but the final part of chapter 10 shows how she didn't actually understand why her act of raping Odysseus was bad. She only knew it as an act of love that her parents did. She still is a horrible person, who continued to do the acts despite knowing Odysseus ' refusal, but it makes her into a more 3D character. Also acknowledgement of how she knows she is a monster.
Chapter 11 has a different POV. It holds backstry of Eulryus, his loyalty to Odysseus, and how it wavered as Odysseus changed during the war. Until it got to the point where he betrayed him. I skimmed chapter 11 (right now, since i was impatient), but I think the author wrote their characterisations quite well. Especially in showing how they change over time, but very quickly over text. I think it might be a good writing example.
