Despite the many, many obstacles, having his kids turn into vampires isn’t as tragic as Bruce anticipated it would be. Whenever one of them is grounded, all Bruce has to do is hang a cross on their door and they’re sufficiently contained. And the energy boost has been incredibly helpful on patrols.

“What is your price…” Batman grits out, looking pained, “In return for the pelt?”
Jason’s eyes narrow, fury coiled low in his gut like a pit of vipers waiting to strike. “What piece you talkin’ about, old man? My pretty jacket, or the fur rug?”
“All of it,” Batman snaps, true fury making his voice pitch more towards Bruce than Batman.
“Greedy,” Jason remarks idly, “Don’t anybody teach you that sharing is caring?”

Bruce hasn’t had Dick Grayson for very long, he wasn’t sure he was cut out for being a parent. The boy was still well under the influence of his manipulators, The Court of Owls messing with the fragile young mind too strong willed to be completely sucked under. It created a different problem, a child caught between freedom and enslavement within their own mind. A child so conditioned he would find any weapon possible for no discernible reason. Bruce had to confiscate so many already, but this time, when Bruce came down the stairs to find his child talon who had abandoned his room in search of more knives, he found the boy shivering instead.
Or, Bruce has a smol murder bean who is very scared and very cold, knives are obviously the answer until Bruce gives him a hug
