Summary
Peter didn't plan any of this. He didn't plan to fall into the arc reactor holding a mysterious, glowing metal ball he grabbed off an alien. He didn't plan to wake up screaming and in pain outside of a strange city. He didn't plan to go to Gotham, New Jersey.
He might not have planned it, but he's here now. Now Peter needs to find a way home with no ID, no money, and seemingly no way to contact Doctor Strange or anyone else back home for help. But perhaps the wheelchair-bound librarian, a dangerous man with probable ties to crime, and a young genius can help him figure out how to get home.
That is if Spider-man can get on the good side of the local Bats.

He felt bare, his chest flayed in agony.
This was-wasn't what was meant to happen. She was meant to look at him, shed tears of joy and forgive him for leaving her. Not-not admit to leaving him.
Oh God, she left him. She left him.
"You abandoned me." He croaked. His eyes were filling with tears. "You abandoned me."
She flinched, looking as if he had hit her. Then she squared her shoulders, face going impassive. 'It was the right thing to do." She declared. She looked like she believed it.
OR - Billy Batson was expecting to have to beg for forgiveness when he finally found his mother after so many years. He wasn't expecting for it to be the other way round.

Of course, that was not to imply that Harry would do less than his utmost to woo the object of his sincerest affections.

The Bats were in agreement: whoever this "Harry Potter" was, they didn't like him. At all. Who'd this twenty-something year old think he was?! Like hell they'd let their Alfred get stolen away from them by some no-good, seducing little punk.
