This is a collection of fics written for Disability Pride month 2025 featuring your favorite DnDads characters.

Disability Pride Month is a celebration in the United States that focusses on "recognizing the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of people with disabilities. It affirms that disability is a natural and valuable part of human diversity—not a deficit or condition to be fixed." It also "celebrates people with disabilities and commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and promotes disability culture and visibility." The range of disability and the experience of disabilities is vast and all of these fics take a POV from the author(s) that doesn't necessarily reflect the POV of all disabled folks. Needing glasses is a different experience than being a deaf person, which is different from the experiences of a person with mental health condition or a physical disability. Disability Pride month recognizes people who have "physical disabilities, neurodiversity, invisible disabilities and disabilities that haven't yet been diagnosed, emotional and psychiatric disabilities, including mental illness, anxiety, and depression, sensory disabilities, including deafness, blindness, lack of smell, lack of taste, audio processing disorder, and all other sensory disabilities, among others disabilities." Disabled status can change over the course of everyone's life and it's impossible to know if you or someone you love will someday be disabled.

Please add fics that show disabled characters, preferably from their POV or from the POV of someone supportive in their life.

All takes are welcome but stories where the resolution involves "fixing" the disabled character will be denied unless you make a good case for it.

Please respect and uplift the voices of people who experience the disability you're writing about. You do not need to be an "own voices" writer to participate, but please respect the experiences of those who you're writing about. This collection will never ask you to out yourself as experiencing any specific disability.

No ableist language or takes will be accepted unless it's relevant to the disabled person's experience and is shown in a negative light.
