Not as the half-breed, illegitimate young prince born from one of his father's many affairs. Not as good as any of his siblings to be garnered proper recognition. Not as the second Blue Paladin. Not as Altea's youngest Cavalry Captain.
He'd finally begun to accept that as he grew closer to coming of age.
But none of that mattered when the war began and Lance, 10 000 years later, dropped out of a cryopod as one of the last remaining Alteans.
