This is a constant, and it would be stupid to expect to be the one person who changes it. So it’s better to work within the limits of reality as it is. You don’t sit there complaining your shuttle would navigate better if it had the new hypercore thrusters instead of the standard thrusters it came with. You use your skills to bring it down safe anyway, even if there’s a storm in the air, even if you’ve got two Klingon fighters on your tail, because it’s yours and you owe it that much.

It takes only one glance for Kagami to decide that she won’t get along with Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She spends exactly one minute at the ice rink in her company and it’s all she needs to know the sort of person that girl is. She will never be more to her than a minor annoyance.
Adrien is smart, a good fencer, he comes from a good family, he is soft spoken, he’s a model so obviously he is good looking, he has good manners, and though his Japanese is dreadful, he tries his best, better still, Mother approves of him. He is everything any girl her age could want.
There is no doubting any of that, these things are set in stone.

Summary
All Azula wants is silence. To be freed from the echoes of her mother's ghost, the judgement in her brother's eyes, and the memories of the childhood she spent clawing at perfection. Upon Zuko's royal decree, she's released from the institution she'd been placed in at the end of the war, but it isn't the peace she'd been hoping for. Instead, she finds herself being dragged to Ember Island, where Zuko and his friends are determined to help her heal.
Despite the group's efforts, Azula is dejected and uninterested in their help. Her resentment only grows as she endures their attempts to fix what she doesn't even believe to be broken.
To her growing frustration, she finds an unexpected solace in the last person she expects: Katara. And no matter how much she tries, Azula can't seem to push her away.
