Zhongli says nothing.
Childe takes a deep breath, gathering up the fragments of whatever remains of him, and leaves. He pushes past the staff in the hallway – their shifty glances and disdainful looks cut deeper now, sharpened by the truth. Somewhere behind him, Zhongli calls his name, but Childe doesn’t look back.
