Summary
To the residents of Chad’s building, the relationship between Chad and Robert is nothing too strange. Chad goes to work each day while Robert tends the house. There’s really nothing concerning or suspicious about their relationship, besides the fact that Robert only seems to leave their apartment to get groceries or walk their dog.
But Chad knows the truth: their relationship is built on a lie that threatens to expose itself any second. Robert is Mecha Man, the very hero who once arrested Chad and cut off two of his fingers. Robert also has no memory of being Mecha Man, and Chad has no intention of telling him.
The last chapter is an epilogue, which is much darker than the rest of the story. It's completely optional to read as the first three chapters tie up all the actual plot points for the story.

He can’t lie and say he didn’t know, he just wishes Robert had told him the truth that night. Would it have been so bad? Really, to just come forward and say who he was, who he used to be? Sure, he can’t guarantee the reaction he would’ve had, but at least he would’ve known. He would’ve been able to stop feeling this way, but now it’s festered all throughout him like a disease, and it’s terminal.
He’s in love with Robert fucking Robertson III, and it’s horrible.
