"No, nononono, Sasuke," Naruto desperately grasps at Sasuke's shirt, now fully died a rusty brown copper. He can already feel the elaborate seal tugging. "Seals are my thing, you son of a bitch!"
"Dobe," Sasuke smirks but it's more of an endearment now. Naruto just wants to see his face one more time but these goddamned tears-
"Y-you have to come after me, yeah?" Naruto blabbers. "Promise me, teme. Promise me, Sasuke."
Sasuke... doesn't answer."I love you." It was a phrase unspoken and Naruto had wished that Sasuke would've said it for the first time after this five-going-six year war. He can feel the pull of the seal and I don't know what to do- helpmeSasuke.
He opens his mouth and Naruto wants to scream at him, yell and demand why? but he-
"I-"
The seal fully activates, the runes shimmering across his limbs, weaving throughout his body and latching onto his soul, his chakra. No. Nonono. Naruto gets pulled fifteen years into the past.

“Gongzi,” Wen Ning says.
His voice is hesitant, roughened by a night of silence and screams not his own. He looks at Wei Wuxian’s back, at the way his shoulders are drawn too tight, held together by sheer will alone.
“Are you… are you sure about this?”
Wei Wuxian does not answer immediately.
He is staring at the path leading down into the Burial Mounds, at the familiar twist of earth and stone that he could navigate blind, at the faint traces of resentful energy humming low and steady beneath the surface. This place has always answered him. Always opened its arms when the world shut its doors.
Now, it feels like standing on the edge of a wound.
“I’m sure,” he says finally.
