It’s not that Remus doesn’t believe he’s loved; it’s more that he constantly feels on the edge of a precipice, walking on an invisible tightrope where falling would mean Sirius finally realizing he could find better somewhere else, and thus leaving him behind. It’s simple, really. Easy. It’s anxiety gnawing at his chest, at his stomach, constantly living with the anticipation of a heartbreak to come.
Remus is used to it.
He doesn’t mind. Not really.
Sirius does. Sirius minds a whole fucking lot.

Summary
Sirius Black returns to the world quite unceremoniously, and apparently, with rather terrible timing.
He falls out of the veil on 31 July 1998 and interrupts Harry’s 18th birthday celebration at the Burrow and promptly finds himself wishing to sprint headfirst back into it. Anything is better than this new reality where, yes, apparently they won the war, but Remus Lupin - his Remus - is now married to his baby cousin - and expecting a baby.
And it hurts so much that it’s almost unbearable.

Summary
"Hiraeth" is a Welsh word likens it to a homesickness tinged with grief and sadness. It is a mixture of longing, yearning, nostalgia, wistfulness or an earnest desire. The nostalgia of something that will never be the same again.
The year is 1978, Voldemort has been building his army for eight years, the wizarding world is in turmoil, and Sirius Black hasn't heard from his brother for a few months.
As the Marauders' final year at Hogwarts begins, reality around them is no longer the same, and slowly, everything they've known begins to truly crumble.
Regulus Black, on the other hand, a helpless spectator of his own life, finds himself grappling with his own bad choices and the various bars that imprison him.
Yet he doesn't know how to move forward, nor how to go back.Torn into two opposing factions, Regulus and Sirius realize that things aren't as they seem, and that even the good side has shadows that are too large.
Perhaps Dumbledore isn't who they trusted, perhaps he's not even that different from Voldemort.
Perhaps the right thing to do is to fight the war for themselves.
Even at the cost of sacrificing the certainties they have clung to until now.-

He is quite clever, he considers, in the way he doles out his observations. A look in the hallway between classes during which he focuses on Remus’s fingers as they hold his textbooks, is enough to tide him over until lunch. At lunch, he can risk a prolonged glance into his eyes, green and full of speckled yellow spots. This can keep him full until bedtime. At night, he watches Remus in his too big shirt and tiny, tiny shorts that should be illegal, as he puts on his reading glasses and buries himself in some muggle romance novel, and this is enough to fill Sirius’s dreams that night, until he wakes up in the morning and the cycle inevitably begins again.

— Ja mogę. Tylko musisz mi obiecać, że jak powiem, że więcej nie mogę powiedzieć, to nie będziesz drążyć. — Chłopak przystanął i odwrócił się do niej twarzą.
Dziewczyna złapała go za wolną rękę i spojrzała w górę, prosto w jego ciemne oczy. Uśmiechała się, ale jej głos brzmiał poważnie.
— Obiecuję. Ale ty to samo musisz obiecać.
— Jasne, obiecuję. No to tak — Tu Kuba rozejrzał się po alejce parkowej, jakby upewniając się, że nikt nie podsłuchuje, po czym bardzo poważnym konspiracyjnym szeptem spytał: — Lila, czy ty wiesz, co to jest gej?

Czyli następuje wielka dezercja z pochodu pierwszomajowego, ktoś tu jednak musi dostać w mordę, plebiscyt na najbardziej kretyńskie imię nie zostaje w końcu rozstrzygnięty, a Remus i Syriusz widzą tę nieszczęsną żyrafę (i w domyśle jadą do Jarocina). Absurdly, Sirius felt himself blush.
“Oh yes, my very first kiss,” he said in a saccharine tone, then sat up and gave Remus a teasing kick in the ribs. “Not yours though. You had to go and waste yours on that insufferable boy… What was his name again?”
Remus burst out laughing. “Oi! He was the one who kissed me! I only ever wanted to kiss you, I’ve always wanted to… kiss you,” his voice dropped soft and Sirius caught the flicker of his gaze; down and then up again.
