Summary
Merlin has carved out a nice little life for himself on the outskirts of Camelot, where magic is held in far less suspicion than in the citadel. It's lonely, but peaceful. One day, the Knights of Camelot come to arrest him for the sorcery he has failed to hide well enough, and a hostile, awkward first meeting with the prince will force him into new situations and change his life in ways he never thought possible.
In which Merlin doesn't go to Camelot, but meets Arthur anyway.

Summary
The new story of Merlin, told by his partners in intertwined destiny : Arthur & Morgana.
Merlin had always been plagued by strange dreams. Dreams that felt so real, they were like living a second life. But he never seemed to quite recall what happened in them. Now that he lives in Camelot, these dreams increase, leaving him with a deep feeling, an instinct even : Time has to be rewritten. And if it isn’t, Merlin will lose everything he cared about.
So Merlin rewrites time with new decisions made out of love, not fear, and therefore changes their previously inevitable tragic path.
(Starts similar to the show then diverges into an alternate reality where things are fixed)

Summary
Merlin's parents died when he was a baby, leaving the son of the last Dragonlord in the care of Kilgharrah. When it became clear Merlin needed to be in human hands, Kilgharrah dropped the feral child on Uther Pendragon's doorstep. In the end, no one has any idea how to raise an unimaginably powerful and unimaginably stubborn warlock. They all lend a hand, but ultimately it is Gaius, the least paternal of them all, who saves the day. Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes a withering eyebrow is enough.
