Summary
When a delegation arrives to finally achieve peace between Camelot and Essetir, Merlin is thrown by the sight of his ex, who he hasn’t seen since he left for Camelot eleven years ago. Lord Parajh is determined to either win Merlin back, or at least flatter him to death.
Merlin has mixed feelings about the sudden, very public affection he receives from his old love. Arthur is furious and madly jealous—maybe jealous enough to finally make his move.

Summary
Prince Merlin Emeryson of Essetir spends the summer at Camelot and is arguing the whole time with Prince Arthur Pendragon, while spending time with Morgana Pendragon. Merlin and Morgana’s closeness have everyone believing that they’ll be wed.
Instead, Arthur’s servant finds Arthur and Merlin together in bed one morning and leave their parents convinced at the two are in love. They’re soon engaged and set to be married in a year.
While Merlin is back in Essetir, they are encouraged to send letters to each other to stay in touch.

Merlin did not accompany the group to Camelot. He did not round up the horses, nor wipe the mud from their skin, nor check for wounds. He walked off, pace mild yet footfall powerful, and left with his own horse, not waiting for permission. A couple of the knights tried to catch up with him–Merlin didn’t care to pay attention to who–while the rest silently gathered their things, not so much as uttering a word in Arthur’s direction.
But Merlin was gone, unable to be chased after.Or

Ever see the Descendants movie trilogy? Well, this is essentially a re-skin of Mal and Prince Ben but make it Merthur. Don't ask me what in the 2015 possessed me. I am not sure.
Canon divergent off of the episode Sweet Dreams. Tells a what if scenario of Arthur's love spell backfiring and making him fall in love with Merlin. Original, I know.
Hopefully, it's as toothrottingly sweet as the relationship between Prince Ben and Mal in that first movie, because DAMN did some of their dialogue have me in a chokehold. Had the time of my life taking Ben's words and "Arthur-ing" them.
