Moving out of their homes and into the UA dorms had brought the class closer together than ever before. Sure, they all had bonded quickly over their shared trauma of the USJ, but living together brought them closer in different ways.
They learned about their classmates much faster than they would have living apart. It was in the little things their classmates did on a daily basis, like how Iida drank orange juice every morning to fuel his engines, Tokoyami shed his feathers and turned them into windcatchers, and how Uraraka wore mittens to bed so she wouldn’t float in her sleep.

"Yeah, Mamma. This," Little Izuku says, raising his pinky finger to show her the thing tied to it.Izuku has been able to see the red strings of fate since birth. It's no surprise that his is connected to Katsuki.

Izuku breathes hard. “—Under a building. We’re under the building.”

This time he's protecting his friends and family!
He forgets that there are consequences to his actions beyond the safey of the people he cares about. He also underestimates just how much the war has changed him, and how much his teachers are worried for and scared of him.

I'm hitting Midoriya with a classic webtoon plot so he can attempt to rewrite his trauma and suffer the mortifying ordeal of being seen (and scaring those who see him).
