NGC Recs Urban Fantasy
Stories that take place in a modern or futuristic context that involve magic, mythological creatures; etc. Things like ghosts and supernatural folk may be involved, but magic is the primary focus.
The line between “Urban Supernatural” and “Urban Fantasy” is pretty thin. In general, if both apply, it gets both. If the balance leans more towards the real world, it gets Urban Supernatural, and if it leans towards the magical/mythological world, it’s Urban Fantasy.

Summary
Despite having every resource the government could throw at them, within the vast wealth of lore protected and researched by the Federal Bureau of Letters and Arcanae, there were only five obscurely written entries on angels. And the number of actual angels ever encountered by humans? One, and that guy was a dick. So when intel indicates a genuine, living angel has been captured, with dire consequences to the universal balance, the FBLA send their best agents undercover to a clandestine freak show, where black market monsters are brought in for the enjoyment of those with the means to afford it. The mission is one they've done a thousand times: extract the entity and bring it in.
And Agent Dean Winchester's seen it all, but he's never seen anything like Castiel.

In an MI6 where Dragons, Basalisks, Cerberii and all sorts of other creatures exist, Q is a lowly Level Three Fury who's innate ability to drain away the rage in others is mediocre at best. Still, he watches wistfully when the official Fury of MI6 interacts with all of the 00-agents. Sure, being the Quartermaster is probably less dangerous than dealing with the Dragons of MI6... but Q wonders if the risk would be worth the reward?
He gets his chance to find out when a mission with 007 goes bad, and Q is stick with thirteen-stone of enraged Dragon on his hands.
Q's got a choice: step up or step out. He can either rise to the occasion and play Fury... or play the odds of Bond going absolutely ballistic on the world at large. Either way, the fallout will be fantastic...

Summary
Percy Weasley really didn't want to die. Unfortunately, destiny had never much cared about what he wanted, which was why he was murdered by Death Eaters in the middle of his office one day, after being caught forging passports for muggle-borns.
But Percy was a wizard, death didn't have to be permanent for him, and even though being a ghost by all accounts wasn't the ideal lifestyle (or, well, deathstyle), he had plenty of reason to stay - mainly because he hadn't spoken to his family in a year and he was pretty sure they hated him, which he still needed to change. And so he stayed.
(In which Percy Weasley dies during the war and becomes a Hogwarts ghost, more or less.)
