They locked eyes for a moment, steely gray met stormy green for just a second before his eyes were drawn to the catalyst of the event at hand: a small, tarnished silver scythe charm hanging from her fingers, almost an exact replica of the one Silena wore save for the rust engraved in the lines of the metal. The rust silena’s would never be able to collect as she had not lived enough to wear it that long. Though he's unsure how this one had begun to rust, it would've had no contact with moisture had it been his as they claimed. He doesn't let anything he wears get wet much less jewelry that would tarnish that much, on another note, he wears gold, silver washes him out.

Fem! Percy.
Percy always knew she was different. Other kids didn't look at people and see how they were going to die. They didn't see people covered with bloody holes on them or a pole sticking out of their eye but still moving as if nothing was wrong. They also didn't have sharp teeth like she did. But it was fine, she had her mom who always looked after her and yeah there was Smelly Gabe. But he always looked like a statue in certain light so she was sure he would die soon.
She told her mom of the thing she saw one time, before Gabe moved in with them. She warned Percy not to worry about them and not to tell anyone exempt her of what she saw. So Percy didn't. She kept what she saw to herself.
She wasn't worried until she sees her mom come home covered in scratches and glass that wasn't real. Percy knew it would be because of her that it happened and so she did the sensible thing.
She ran away.OR Percy is a seer and runs away to protect her mom. She is also mute for most of the book. She runs into Luke and Thalia who have to deal with two half feral children.

Demigod dreams were useful! They gave Percy warnings and insight on what threats were coming up. But more than that, demigod dreams were really annoying. I mean, regular nightmares sucked, but your evil grandpa sending personalized death threats to your sleep was even worse.
Although, sometimes Percy's demigod dreams were even stranger than they were supposed to be - he tended to interrupt conversations he wasn't supposed to (and didn't want to) hear. Case in point; Percy overhearing Kronos bicker with his siblings for the uptempth time.
Or; Hyperion can't decide if he wants to laugh or scream, Krios is adopting Percy, Kronos is amused, and Percy is just really tired
