His life is peculiar but he wouldn't change a thing. When he gets booked for the big Wayne Halloween party, however, he finds himself getting all tangled up with the Waynes, and the more fortunes he tells, the tighter the snare becomes.or: Tim just wanted to scam Gotham's elite, not end up on the Batfamily's watchlist. But it seems they just won't leave him alone..

Summary:Jason was doing his best not to feel any concern for Tim – it wasn’t Jason’s job to make sure Tim ate and slept and didn’t dose himself with harmful chemicals – but he had to admit to feeling somewhat disturbed. Did anyone else in the family know Tim was this bad at taking care of himself? Did anyone else care? Someone should have probably cared. Not Jason, but… someone.
“You must really hate yourself,” he observed.
Tim made a vague hand gesture. “It comes in waves.”
That was a joke, right? Jason was going to tell himself that was a joke. This was already more than he’d signed up for.

Some frayed thread of self-control, worn thin by years of this bullshit, finally snaps. “I was always here, I was always ready for you to come home and act like family,” he spits back, heart pounding in his chest. “You were the ones who never wanted to be. Bruce Wayne has acted like more of a father to me than you ever have.”
Jack’s hands move from pinning his shoulders to wrapping around his throat in the space between heartbeats. Tim should be able to break the hold, easy. Should be able to push him away, strike his legs out from under him even without his bo staff to help him. He’s Robin.
Instead, cold ice spills through his veins, freezing him in place even as his windpipe buckles.
