Pearl's life is structured. Controlled. She teaches ballet to kids who still have the dreams she lost when she was at the height of her career. She lives with Amethyst and Garnet in a slightly too-small apartment where game night rules are sacred and feelings are discussed over burnt popcorn. She doesn't date. Her closest relationships are with her roommates. She doesn't trust that wanting something won't end with it being taken away.
Then Amethyst hires Rose.
Rose, an escort with pink curls and hands that know exactly where to touch, who shows up for Pearl's birthday like a gift wrapped in confidence and warmth. It's supposed to be one night.
