Summary
Mythical creatures were heavily favored everywhere in the world. It was near impossible for humans to work anywhere that didn’t only pay minimum wage and wasn’t a dead-end job.
Some humans, those who couldn’t get jobs at all, had the option to sell themselves into a multitude of cruel and heavily illegal markets. Businesses that would drain a human of most of their blood in order to feed vampires, let demons experiment with their magic on them, have shapeshifters practice shifting by taking their form, or would have werewolves hunt them down for sport.
Even if all of those horrible practices and businesses were outlawed, it didn’t stop them from existing.
Basically, it was hard for humans to survive anymore.
Tommy was human, but nobody knew. Not a single soul knew that he was human and it was a secret that Tommy was sure he’d attempt to take to his grave.

“Who the fuck are you?” Tommy blurted out, before he could think about what he was saying.
The man’s brown eyes went wide, before he burst out laughing. “Well, that’s not the greeting I expected but, uh, I’m Wilbur. Wilbur Soot.”
“You weren’t here yesterday.” He responded in an almost accusatory voice.
Wilbur chuckled, looking around nervously “I mean, that’s usually how people work? They’re not in the same place 24/7.”
Tommy suddenly realized how ridiculous his words were and backtracked. “No, I mean I’ve never seen you here before. This stand has always been empty.”
“Oh! Yeah that’s fair, I’m pretty new.” He laughed, “I bought this stand last week, but it took me forever to set it up.”
He nodded, still wondering about the keychain, the one with Wilbur’s picture in it he found the day before. “That makes sense. Welcome to the mall. Also, sorry about toppling your stand yesterday.”
Wilbur blinked “You did what?”

Summary
There are not many opportunities in this world for a changeling to thrive. Technoblade knows this better than anybody, and it's the reason he ended up in a deal where his true name was signed over to Fortune's Hall. Even when the original owner died and another took their place, Techno stayed indebted to work at the casino, resigning to his new job under the fae known as Quackity.
When somebody else tries to claim a debt, however, Techno could end up going from the frying pan into the fire, unless Quackity figures out a way to keep his favorite employee legally his.

They deserve it.
It’s not your fault.If only Tommy could believe that. Not all of the Red on his hands is blood, but it barely helps. His life at the SCP Foundation is routine: white walls and bland ‘food’ broken up only by visits with Philza if he’s lucky, doctors and researchers if he isn’t, and The Blade if he’s really, really unlucky. Survival has a cost, but rarely is it one he himself pays, and the guilt of what he's done is almost enough to convince Tommy that the Foundation is right to lock up dangerous anomalies like him.
But then one day a bee appeared in his cell. That’s not to say things got better, but, well, they certainly weren’t so mundane anymore.

Summary
When bounty hunters gravely injured Technoblade, he found temporary refuge in a hybrid community. Initially, the hybrids were equally wary as he was of them, thinking of their own poachers. But their hackles eased when Technoblade pretended to be a bunnyborn. For some reason, the hybrids mistook his endless scars, relentless vigilance, and constant flinches as further proof Technoblade was one of them. All part of the master plan...?
The lie was only meant to last a few days, only meant to avoid death. But as Technoblade tentatively became used to the kindness of Philza, Niki, and Tommy, the justifications to delay running piled up. The lie could last a little longer, couldn't it?

Summary
Most people just assume Quackity's wings are naturally smaller, that the sharp arch they end in is by design. Most people have no idea what avain hybrids even look like, with how uncommon they are on servers where flying is banned. So Quackity doesn't get questioned about his wings and why they look the way they do.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Karl spoke with a tone that demanded no further interruptions, “I have gathered you all here today to discuss a very important topic that will influence not only the future of the Kinoko Kingdom, but perhaps the entire SMP itself.”
He centered the first sign on the wall opposite of the jury, words written comically large, and stepped back to let them all take it in. Quackity wished he had set a table up as well, if only to have something to bang his head against as he read the title.
There, carved in dark oak and dyed white, was the question of the hour: PHILZA MINECRAFT = QUACKITY’S DAD?
