Just a nice cherry on top of the fucking cake that, even if anyone did hear him screaming when claws tangled in his jacket and pulled, Steve honestly wasn’t sure they’d have cared enough to bother anyway.

Summary
Steve wonders how it would be to have a family, he remembers those missions where he had to play the role of someone's kid, and as fucked up as it sounds those were his fondest memories; Now he is stuck with a family that is not really his, a body of a kid burried in the backyard and a role he forced himself to play, or at least that was until a new family was introduced to him in a form of interdimensional monsters, loud children and a pair of weird adults (parents).
Basically a fic of Steve being Seven and going through all the seasons with all the implications of him being a lab kid and powers that are meant to hurt and destroy and obviously trying to hide it.

Steve didn't think there was anything particularly special about himself. He was just your average guy who had been raised by his now dead grandparents instead of his absent parents. He couldn't remember anything before the fourth grade, but that was fine, most people didn't. He was normal.
The town he lived in, however, was a fucking spawning ground for evil. And of course that fucking Demogorgan had to knock his memories back into alignment.

Steve was one of the Numbers and blocked it out. The Demogorgan fight makes him remember his time in the lab. He tries to hide his revelation. Unfortunately for him, the Party are a bunch of nosy little shits.

After all, it was better to be the spoilt rich son of an arrogant man, than to be a child with a number etched upon his wrist.aka, a rewrite of Stranger Things with Steve as a lab kid. it begins with season one, with plans to finish out the show in season five. featuring: immortality, immorality, and the terrors of Steve escaping a place that would always know to look for him.
