    Peter laughed again, and for a moment the cold cell felt warm.

    Unfortunately, Tony catches his eye, does a double-take, and smiles. “Oh, hey!” he says as he walks over. Then, to Peter’s eternal mortification, Tony sticks one end of a piece of metal in his mouth so he has a free hand to ruffle Peter’s hair. With the piece still in his mouth and muffling his voice, he says, “Didn’t know you were here. I have to go talk with Dr. Karim in her lab right now, sorry I can’t stay and chat longer.”

    The screen showed Peter Parker, sixteen years old and determined to prove the identity of Spider-Man over the course of the three-part documentary he was making, unknowing that it would become viral within days of the first part being released. Behind the camera, way off screen, was Harley Keener, Tony Stark’s other prodigy child, grinning like crazy as Peter started the documentary.     He gapes for a solid second, seeing but not believing. It definitely doesn’t look like Mr. Stark is forcing the kid to leave, or firing him, or escorting him to security given the relaxed smiles on both of their faces. If anything, Becket thinks Mr. Stark looks rather proud.

    “So, uh, Mr. Stark definitely knows Roomba-Kid,” Becket says and discreetly tilts his head in the direction of the pair.

    “Oh my god,” Jess says. She almost sounds gleeful. “Oh my god, he’s not just some random kid. He’s Mr. Stark’s kid.”
