“Aren’t you going to put some poor thing out of their misery soon?” Ignis asks him when Gladio plucks a sticky note from his locker - nothing but scribbled winking face and a phone number. “Or at least ask who you do want to go with and take yourself off the market.”
“Maybe I’m just waiting for the right person,” Gladio laughs, but simply crumples this note up and tosses it in a perfect arch towards the nearest trash can. He slams his locker shut and turns to stare at Ignis for a long moment. It lasts long enough, feels so intense, that Ignis fidgets under his gaze, blush blooming across his cheeks.
Gladio’s grin softens and he takes Ignis’ textbook from his hands to stack on top of his own to carry.
“Maybe I’m just building up my confidence,” Gladio says.Alternatively: Gladio won't agree to take anyone to Spring Fling and Ignis can't work out why.
