“I’ll ask you some questions, and you can tell me the answers.” Neil’s tongue finds Andrew’s jaw and it shoots heat down his spine. Something about Neil’s tone is uniquely dangerous in a way that Andrew doesn’t recognize. In his mind’s eye, he sees a sharp smile and a sharper blade. “But you’ll have to deal with some distractions.”
Andrew finds it in himself to scoff, even with heat pooling between his legs. “Distractions?”
Neil pulls back. In the dim light of the bedside lamp, his eyes don’t even look blue anymore. “Take off your shirt.”

Summary
Nathaniel Wesninski has only known the tower he was raised in and a grand total of five people: his father, and his father's friends. After his father refuses to take him to see the floating lights that light up every year on his birthday, he recruits the help of a morally dubious blond home intruder named Andrew. Along the way he meets a ragtag gang named The Foxes, makes several escapes from not-so-well-meaning strangers, and finds himself entranced with the grumpy blond man acting as his guide.
But with his father close on his heels and magic burning through his veins, he should have known his journey wouldn't remain so simple. -
