He feels too horribly vulnerable, and he swears he’s cried more these last few hours than he has these last few months. These emotions hit him much too often, but he never wants to deal with them.
The idea of his loved ones not loving him is terrifying, the feeling overwhelming. But, talking about them is even worse. It opens him to the horrible chance of them saying “Yes.”. The ability for them to confirm these ugly thoughts as reality.
