Summary
After a heated argument between Merritt and Daniel, the tension within the team reaches its limit. Angry and hurt, Merritt makes a risky decision — he deliberately stalls at a critical moment, fully understanding what it could lead to. When the police arrive earlier than expected, he finds himself trapped and no longer has time to escape.
Despite the recent conflict, Daniel does not hesitate. He stays and, risking himself, saves Merritt’s life. However, this choice comes at a price: it is Daniel who has to pay for the decision he made.

Summary
Ilya stepped towards Shane and when he didn’t step back, Ilya took the opportunity to wrap him in his arms.
“I just wanted you to know that it would be okay if you did need to do that.” He wanted to make sure that he said the right thing so that Shane wouldn’t be spooked. He had already fucked this up severely. But even then, Shane deserved to know everything.
“I don’t believe in cheating.” Shane stilled in his arms before he finished with, “I don’t own you Shane.”
Everything in Shane’s face shattered and Ilya knew that despite his attempts he had said something terribly wrong.
Shane turned on his heel and hauled ass out of the bedroom. By the time Ilya could catch up to him, he was gone.
And now Ilya was speeding to Montreal because four days was far too long for comfort.
OR the one where Ilya tells Shane he can see other people and then regrets it.

“Fuck, look at you,” Ilya breathes. “Ask me for it again.”
“Hit me,” Shane says instantly, not a moment of hesitation.
“Is your face not sore? You still want more?”
“It’s sore,” Shane answers. “Please. I want more.”
“Fuck,” Ilya hisses, and he extends his arm out, muscular and powerful, and he brings it down hard, harder than any of the previous smacks. This one makes Shane’s head reel, his entire upper half jolting in response to it. Ilya watches in concern and fascination, gauging his reaction.

Summary
Avery signs up to be an experimental subject for his university's psychology department. It's supposed to be easy extra credit, and Dr. Watkins seems really nice.
It turns out that the experiment is on sexuality, which Avery isn't entirely comfortable with, but after the first session, he stops worrying about it so much. And he starts really liking Dr. Watkins.
By the time it occurs to Avery to wonder what Watkins is actually studying, and why there never seem to be any other students in the lab, it's too late for him to do anything but (unwillingly) enjoy the ride.
