Summary
After his roommate leaves the kitchen looking like an absolute mess for the third time this week, Jungwon can't take it anymore. He needs to get out of there before he does something really stupid, like take all of his roomates things and throw them out of the window right into the trash cans underneath it.
He can feel frustarted tears starting to flow and the oncoming signs of another mental breakdown when Sunoo, his lord and savour offers the perfect solution.
"Why don't you come live with us?"And Jungwon would be the dumbest person on the whole campus to not take that offer. The flat is affordable, close to the campus and on top of that his new roomates actually clean up after themselves.
Just as Jungwon thinks he can live peacefully again and finally concentrate hard on his studies, he meets Park Jongseong.
Turns out his life is not going to be as peaceful afterall.

Jungwon turns his attention back down, where the screen lights up again. There’s a short pause before finally, a logo shows up. Its black typeface in capital letters, along with a pixelated ‘B’.
It takes a moment for Jungwon to fully comprehend the queasiness he suddenly feels.
“Please welcome the trainees from BigHit Entertainment, Park Sunghoon and Jay.”
Even without an announcement, or even a nameplate sticker stuck onto the front of his shirt, will make Jungwon forget such a face.

Jay nearly stumbles backward at the sudden outburst, Jungwon is furious.
“You said you didn’t care! You said it wasn’t your concern, so why the hell did you look at me like that?! Like I just—like I just ripped your heart out?” The brunette spits, venom coloring his voice.
Jay blinks rapidly, not even hiding how taken off guard he was but that doesn’t stop the defensiveness from creeping in, “Because maybe you did, Jungwon!”
(or: Park Jay learns that being in love with his best friend of seventeen years isn’t the hard part—saying it to him is. Because, as much as he hates to admit it, Park Jay is a coward, and words are futile devices.)

Jungwon had never been excited for the class before, has heard from some students that it was taken by some old man with a pot belly who didn't pay attention to the questions the students had and only read from old papers that weren't up-to-date with the current affairs of the world so Jungwon more or less just prayed to be done with the class since he had to take it. It was an elective course so he just chose it because everyone else chose statistical analysis of data and that didn't sound appealing to him one bit.
So imagine his pure surprise when the new professor walked into the class, his books in his hand and a soft, eye crinkle smile on his face, his glasses sitting atop that pointed nose of his.

jungwon mulls over the older's words. it's nothing he hasn't thought of himself yet somehow, when it comes out of jay's mouth, he perceives it like it's a gospel. that prioritising himself doesn't make him selfish. he's spent so long agonizing why he feels like he's in the wrong for thinking about what would make him happy and now, he thinks that being with jay at this moment is what makes him happy.
