Hugging you takes some practice.
So I'll start out with a cactus.ーPorcupines, Marilyn Singer.
How do you mend a relationship that has been so ruined, you didn't know where to start?
"I…" why was this so difficult? "...want to say sorry."
"Whatーugh. I'm trying to apologize here, why are you being so annoying?" Isabela's tone was full of frustration. Mirabel grinned, the more annoyed her older sister was, the happier she became.
"Because I'm your younger sister and it is my God-given right to annoy you," she replied with a laugh
Or;
Isabela says sorry and find out that there was nothing to be sorry for: petty siblings edition.

Summary
“But something’s wrong with me,” she whispers, and he realizes that she can’t hear him. He can shout and scream to the wind, and she still won’t hear for she has receded into the darkest depths of her mind where no matter how hard he tries, no matter how hard he fights, he cannot follow.
And he understands, now, that this is a battle he will not win—cannot win—a battle that she will fight every day for the rest of her life.
He sees so much of himself in her in this moment, and it scares him to death.

Summary
Camilo started the story in his most dramatic voice; “This is the story of how Mirabel died.”
Mirabel slapped Camilo’s arm. “Don’t scare them,” she scolded and turned to the kids with a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry!” she said brightly. “It’s actually a very fun story and, truth is, it’s not even really mine- it’s mostly Tio Bruno’s story.”
*
Mirabel just wanted to make her family proud. So, when her lost uncle's crown is stolen, she races to get it back. She doesn't expect to find a man hiding in a tower- a man who seems all too familiar.
Bruno's spent the last forty-five years hiding from those who would use him for his gift of prophecy. He doesn't expect a girl to burst into his tower. A girl who may be able to help him reach the mysterious floating lights he's wanted to see all his life.
So they strike a deal: Mirabel will bring him to see the lanterns and "Oscar" will tell her where he hid the crown.
Stealing back your uncle's crown from some thieves? No biggie! Accidentally finding said uncle hidden in a tower by a witch? Okay, maybe that one's a big deal after all.
